Mr [redacted] is correct, I did tell him the steering is a little stiff and the ball joints needed to be broken in which could take up to milesThe first time I heard back from Mr [redacted] was sometime in April and he said the truck was till not feeling rightAt that time Mr [redacted] and I were both present when Mr [redacted] told us he went to another shop to replace some other steering components and it still didn't fix the problem after spending an X amount of dollarsAt that time he was informed by Mr [redacted] that all warranty work must be done at this shop and how could he expect us to correct the problem after he took it elsewhere? I'm sure the date on his repair order from the other shop will coincideMr [redacted] left only to return a second time when Mr [redacted] took the vehicle for a drive with Mr& Mrs [redacted] When they returned to the shop, they agreed that the truck drove fine and they did not feel any drifting and the vehicle drove straight. When Mr [redacted] was on the test drive with Mr& Mrs [redacted] , Mrs [redacted] stated that nothing was wrong with the truck prior to bringing it in to usMr [redacted] asked "If there was nothing wrong with it, why bring it in to begin with?"Mr [redacted] said they brought it for tire wear, so Mrs [redacted] contradicted what they said and obviously there was an issue to cause tire wearStill, I wanted them to leave it with me for more driving to try and see if I could feel what they were feelingThey REFUSED! The bottom line is, they voided the warranty once it was taken to another shopOnce a vehicle is taken to another shop, we don't know if those mechanics tampered with the parts we installed or what was done, that is why the warranty cannot be honored at that point.Mr [redacted] returned a third timeI explained to him that I would replace the ball joints at no chargeI explained to him that I was confident that they were installed properly and there must be an issue with the balljoints themselves and that particular ball joint may not be compatible with the year, make, and model of the vehicleMr [redacted] argued with me insisting that I install new ball joints (same brand), and I said that I pressed and installed the parts myself so I knew it was done correctly, therefore it had to be something with the partsAt that point he said that wasn't true, that another mechanic had pressed themI told Mr [redacted] that was not true and that I had done all the work myself and the best way to approach this was to get the ball joints from the dealership, the factory ball jointsI told Mr [redacted] that I would install them at no charge if he purchased the factory ball jointsMr [redacted] mumbled some words, said he would see us in court, walked out, not allowing me to explain that he could be reimbursed for the parts we installed.I truly believe that Mr [redacted] had already scheduled an appointment with the Dodge dealership to have the repairs done prior to coming back the third time and never intended to give us the opportunity to warranty the workWe cannot justify a refund because we did the work authorized by Mr [redacted] Mr [redacted] chose to have his vehicle worked on by two other shops after our initial repairs despite our recommendations, and we still attempted to resolve the matterOur pricing is very competitive and we do quality suspension, that is our specialtyIt was Mr [redacted] ' choice to spend more money at two other shops when we could have saved him money by warranting the balljoints but he clearly did not want us to replace them

I am rejecting this response because: Mr*** distorted the facts. We did attempt to have him honor his warranty. SEE BELOW Mr*** was correct that we had to go to another mechanic, but only after we had returned to Wheel Align It II on two separate occasions. On March 18th, Wheel Align It II replaced our upper and lower ball jointsWe immediately returned with the truck because it was not driving correctly. Robert indicated, without even looking at it, that the ball joints were just stiff and needed to break in. So, we took the truck home, believing what they told us. We put approximately miles on the truck before we took it back the second time, within two weeks. Robert drove the truck and acknowledged that it wandered along the road, but still claimed that the ball joints needed to be broken in and suggested that something might be wrong with the tiresWhen we realized that Wheel Align It II was not going to even put our truck on the lift, we were forced to look for another mechanic. This other shop replaced the drag link, tie rod ends, right inner tie rod, stabilizer shock, and steering dampener, but did not work on the ball jointsThis shop refused to touch the ball joints as they were new and should have been covered under Wheel Align It II’s warranty. They only replaced things that a reputable front end shop should have noticed needed replacingThis did not fix the original problemThinking that it might be the tires even though they were only a year old, we took the truck back to FirestoneFirestone allowed us to try four new tires. This did not fix the original issue, so we the old tires back on.Mr***’s warranty at the bottom of the invoice states that “Warranty work that is based on this vehicle must be performed at this shop.” Since the other shop did not touch the ball joints, we decided to return to Wheel Align It II to have him honor his warrantyMr*** drove the truck and claimed that he could not feel the truck drifting. Again, refusing to even look at the ball jointsWe went back one more time, and that was when Robert told us to buy the Dodge ball joints for them to replace. Since, they had never even looked at the ball joints after the original installation to see if they were defective or installed improperly, we decided that they were not going to honor their workmanship or warranty. We took the truck to the Dodge dealership to replace the ball joints. Again, they said the ball joints should be covered under warranty by Wheel Align It II. They suggested replacing the gear box to attempt to fix the problem. This did not fix the original issue. After all this extensive front end work, we were convinced that it had to be the ball jointsWe paid to have new upper and lower ball joints installedTHE TRUCK DRIVES PERFECTLYThis shop informed us that the lower ball joints were defectiveWe, in fact, still have the defective parts.Since, Mr*** would not honor his warranty and the ball joints WERE defective, we believe we should, at the LEAST, get our original money back

I am rejecting this response because: The fact still remains we were forced to go elsewhere to have our truck worked on and repaired properly by having the upper and lower ball joints replaced AGAINEach time we took the truck back to have them look at it (even before taking it to other shops), they DID NOT look at it, they simply assumed the ball joints needed a break in period I find it ludicrous new ball joints need to be "broke in" for the first miles, thus putting our lives and the lives of other drivers in danger for that "break-in" period (we could not keep it driving straight or in-between the lines while on the road)Robert and Lawrence refused to look at it and inspect their workOnce the new upper and lower ball joints were installed, the truck has driven flawlessly....without any "BREAK-IN" periodA full refund is demanded due to their negligence and their disregard for proper business ethics

Wheel Align It II did replace the upper and lower ball joints, alignment, and rotate the tires for Mr. [redacted]. Our warranty is only valid if the customer brings the vehicle back to our shop. warranty is void. Robert did tell Mr. [redacted] to purchase the more expensive ball joints and we would do the labor for free because he was not happy with the drivability of his truck. We were trying to work with him on the cost by not charging him for labor but he refused and took the truck to another shop. Obviously there were other issues with the suspension and thats why he spent another $700 for more work. The owner "Bo" did go on a drive with the [redacted]'s and didn't feel what the customers were saying they felt, the truck drove straight on Tramway. We attempted to satisfy Mr. [redacted] but we are under no obligation to honor warranty work if the customer has other mechanics work on the vehicle as stated on our invoice. Robert (our manager) did refuse to put the truck on the rack the last time Mr. [redacted] brought it back because he felt there was nothing more he could do to satisfy Mr. [redacted]. Robert has worked on suspension for over 30 years and we have confidence in his expertise. Mr. [redacted] has the right to take his vehicle somewhere else but in doing so he voided any warranty. We apologize for Mr. [redacted]'s inconvenience and wish we could have resolved his suspension issue but unfortunately, he chose to take his vehicle to another shop which cost him even more money and his visit to dodge will cost him a lot more! We hope he gets it resolved but we will not give him a refund for the work we did do on his truck  Wheel Align It IILawrence "Bo" [redacted]

Mr. [redacted] was never told that we would fix the pulling problem for $67, he was quoted $59.99 plus tax for a basic alignment. and insisted we just do the alignment. We explained that the basic alignment would not fix the pulling issue. We found Mr. [redacted] statement that our staff are MMA boxers to be quite humorous. We sponsor MMA fighters along with various schools around our community and post pictures around our shop but do not have a single MMA fighter employed by us. Mr. [redacted] returned a week or two later and spoke with "Bo" who is the owner, Lawrence M[redacted]. Bo denied a refund because it states on our invoice that all warranty work is only honored if the vehicle is brought back to this location. Mr. [redacted] was unwilling to listen to an explanation on how the alignment printout worked or what it indicated. He refused to listen to any explanation of the printout from Firestone and our print out basically showed the same results on the angles and how it effected the way his vehicle steered. Mr. [redacted] then walked out making threats. Mr. [redacted] was not quoted $150.00 on a camber kit, the quote he received was as follows....Camber kit: $56.80Camber kit install: $47.50Complete Alignment: $79.99Tax: $13.24Total: $197.53Our specialty is suspension & front end work, alignments etc. We have over 30 years experience in suspension. We take pride in our expertise and have been in business since 1992. We align some of the most difficult vehicles that no other alignment shop can align. We do not take advantage of our customers and have a reputation for doing honest work at a fair price. We would not have been able to stay in business if we took advantage of our customers, especially as a small independant shop.   Wheel Align It IILawrence M[redacted]

We understand Mr. [redacted] is unsatisfied and he has a right to choose where he takes his vehicle, however, we cannot justify a refund. We did do a front wheel alignment per his request despite our recommendation that he needed a camber kit and charged him for a front wheel alignment, therefore we provided a service and charged him accordingly. It is and will remain our opinion that he does need the camber kit in order to completely resolve his issue. We strive to make our customers happy and do not and would not intentionally recommend repairs we do not feel are necessary, contrary to Mr. [redacted] opinion of our business. We wish Mr. [redacted] the best and hope his pulling issue remains resolved to his satisfaction and the camber issue doesn't resurface in the future with tire wear and additional damage to his vehicle.  Wheel Align It IILawrence M[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] is correct, I did tell him the steering is a little stiff and the ball joints needed to be broken in which could take up to 500 miles. I explained to him that I would replace the ball joints at no charge. I explained to him that I was confident that they were installed properly and there must be an issue with the balljoints themselves and that particular ball joint may not be compatible with the year, make, and model of the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] argued with me insisting that I install new ball joints (same brand), and I said that I pressed and installed the parts myself so I knew it was done correctly, therefore it had to be something with the parts. At that point he said that wasn't true, that another mechanic had pressed them. I told Mr. [redacted] that was not true and that I had done all the work myself and the best way to approach this was to get the ball joints from the dealership, the factory ball joints. I told Mr. [redacted] that I would install them at no charge if he purchased the factory ball joints. Mr. [redacted] mumbled some words, said he would see us in court, walked out, not allowing me to explain that he could be reimbursed for the parts we installed.I truly believe that Mr. [redacted] had already scheduled an appointment with the Dodge dealership to have the repairs done prior to coming back the third time and never intended to give us the opportunity to warranty the work. We cannot justify a refund because we did the work authorized by Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] chose to have his vehicle worked on by two other shops after our initial repairs despite our recommendations, and we still attempted to resolve the matter. Our pricing is very competitive and we do quality suspension, that is our specialty. It was Mr. [redacted]' choice to spend more money at two other shops when we could have saved him money by warranting the balljoints but he clearly did not want us to replace them.

I am rejecting this response because: Firestone fixed the pulling problem without me having to purchase a camber kit for an extra 150.00 (kit + labor). I am rejecting this response because wheel align it people are not honest and upright people, they are thieves and I'd hate to see them take advantage of women customers'. Just give me a refund of 67.00 and things will be OK. But I don't think they have the honesty or self respect to do the right thing.
