The employees at this location grew hostile towards me when I told them that I was displeased with the service I had received. On Monday August 4, 2014, I dropped off a shirt to be cleaned and when I picked it up on August 5, 2014, the stain on the shirt was worse (darker)than when I initially dropped the shirt off. When I let the manager know that I was displeased he replied, "How do I know that the stain is worse than before? How do I know that is is darker than before?" The sales associate at the counter added, "You can't just go to the nail shop and the hair salon and not expect to pay." The customer who had just gotten her clothing back before mine complained that she brought a pair of pants in to have them pressed and when she got them back they were stained poorly and in even worse condition than when she initially delivered them to the cleaners. She has provided her contact information and agreed to testify on her own behalf. Her contact information is (XXX)XXX-XXXX. Her name is[redacted] and she is an elderly African American woman. It is my belief that this business is a scam towards less privileged African Americans in the[redacted] community. The company has a no refund policy and Ms. [redacted] added that the managers would rather argue the customers down over damaged garments than to give a $4 refund. My ticket number is XXXXXX and my telephone number used to look up my account is (XXX)XXX-XXXX. The cost of my bill was $4.10. When I initially dropped the garment off the company told me that if the stain did not come out of the garment I would still be responsible for the bill. I agreed to pay upon pickup. My issue is that nothing was said as far as more damage being incurred to my property. This is where the issue of poor customer service factors in. I do not feel as though my having to pay for an article of clothing that was further damaged by the business is a just practice among the business owners at this laundry cleaning location. The fact that the employees at this company would rather fight so hard with customers rather than to exercise good customer service and own up to their mistakes makes me think that they are scamming innocent civilians to keep their doors open and to make a profit. This company and their legitimacy warrants further investigation.Desired SettlementI am requesting a refund for the amount of my blouse that was damaged which is $30. At the very least, if I could have a refund in the amount of $4.10, I would feel as though the company made an effort to improve in the area of customer service.
