I had two new front tires on my Jeep, the next morning we were leaving on a 3 hour trip. Halfway there I started hearing a banging sound, so thinking that something major was wrong, I pulled off and looked for a service station to look at it. After finding a repair shop, they asked me if I recently had tires put on? I told them yes, yesterday morning. He told me that both tie rods in the front end were ready to come off because the place who put on my tires, forgot to tighten the lug nuts on both tires. I called the shop that did my tires right away, and was laughed at and told to prove it. So I asked her if my tie rods were that loose why didn't they say something then, she said it was on my slip from the tires. After the phone call I dug out my slip from the tire change, and it was not mentioned at all. When getting back to town, I stopped there to speak to them about the issue, and was told they would give me 50 dollars but that was it. It cost me almost 600 to fix there mistake, and I will never go there again. But they said it was okay because the guy who did my tires was sent to a class on how to do a tire change correctly. So if they know the problem why wouldn't they fix the mistake that there employee made? There greedy, and from my point of view, they tried to kill me and didn't even care about it. If either tie rod end would have came off going down the interstate at 70 mph, I would have been dead. They treated it like it was a joke.
