Bad Bad Bad
I am writing to inform you that I am taking legal action against your dealership for breach of contract, lemon law, failure to disclose prior damage, failure to disclose that the car was a salvage vehicle, and violation of consumer protection laws. You sold me Savage vehicle as a clean title vehicle at full marketplace.

As a consumer, my federal and state rights were violated because you did not disclose important information regarding the vehicle that I purchased from your dealership. This includes failing to get the car inspected by the state, which is a mandatory law, and not disclosing that the vehicle had prior damage and was a salvage vehicle.

By not disclosing this information to me or the financial institution, you have put me and my loved ones in danger by allowing us to operate a vehicle that is not supposed to be on Minnesota roads.

I am taking legal action against North star Auto as a consumer and I urge you to take action to resolve this situation with a positive outcome.

Review: Dealer sold defective car. Car when accelerating engine stalls, jerks, shudders and vibrates. Dealer refuses to refund money and claims its normal. Manufacturer claims its normal. Car is unsafe and delays to respond when merging into traffic on a highway. Class action lawsuits have been filed against Ford regarding these complaints.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded full purchase price of car.

Review: bought a Mercedes Benz 2005 ML500 from them and a vehicle service contract in 2012 january, I had since then electrical problems, transmition problems , sunspension problems. Its a lemon . and everything the salesman verbally told me as parts and service contract where all lies. The seems to have water stains and the problems that a car has been thru a flood.Desired Settlement: They should fixed the motor mount and the suspension of rear coil springs cracked and shocks and also the hood latches for the hood. Or at least cover half the cost or parts I have my own mechanic that I trust .

In response to [redacted]' business complaint I would like to verify the details of this situation to reassure that Northstar stands by our customers in every possible situation in accordance with fair business practices and New York State laws.

[redacted] purchased a 2005 Mercedes Benz ML500 on January [redacted], 2012. At the time of purchase, as with all purchases at our dealership, a complete CARFAX vehicle history report outlining the history of the vehicle was available at customer request. Any damage to the vehicle, especially major damage as in the case of a flood would be reportable, and result in a Salvage title. This vehicle had a clean title and any claims relating to flood damage can be dismissed as speculation. Furthermore, [redacted] is bringing about these complaints more than 2 years after the transaction occurred. When the vehicle was sold the odometer read 77254. It is standard practice per NYS Lemon Law to provide Limited Warranty coverage for 60 days on a vehicle with this mileage. In addition to this coverage [redacted] purchased a 24 month service contract for further protection against unscheduled maintenance and repair. At this time that warranty would be expired and the customer shall be deemed responsible for all repair costs.

At the time of transaction, we sell quality, roadworthy vehicles and offer our customers extensive options to protect their investment. Since this vehicle has been out of our possession for over 2 years, we can not speak as to how the vehicle has been driven, maintained, and serviced. A vehicle is composed of many moving parts all subject to natural wear. In the case of this sale, as with all of our business, we have maintained our strict policies in regards to vehicle quality and customer service. As a dealer we have given [redacted] the information and coverage she deemed acceptable for her purchase. We welcome [redacted] to bring the vehicle in for service, we will not however pay for the desired services, as the warranty period has long been expired.

Review: I bought a 2003 BMW 330xi from northstar auto sales and the car had two keys I was advised after paying off the car I would receive my second key as they held one key for security reasons when the car was fully paid off I contacted northstar and was told they don't have the key I just want my second keyDesired Settlement: To get the second key to my car

Review: ON 6/**/14 I PURCHASED A 2010 INFINITI G37XS AT NORTH STAR AUTO SALES, ACCORDING TO CAR FAX VEHICLE WAS NEVER IN A COLLISION OF ANY SUCH ALSO CLEARLY WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A SPORTS EDITION WHICH CLEARLY ISNT DUE TO THAT IT DOESNT HAVE THE SPORT SPECIFICATIONS. ACCORDING TO STATE FARM THIS VEHICLE WAS IN A COLLISION ON 12/**/13 WHICH $4,833 WAS PAID TO PRIOR [redacted]. SINCE THE 7TH DAY OF VEHICLE PURCHASE I WAS EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTIES WITH THE VEHICILE, IN WHICH IS CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND SPOKE TO THE [redacted]. THEY DIDNT COMPLY WITH ALL OF MY COMPLAINTS TOWARDS THE VEHICLE. Thank you for bringing the concerns of [redacted] to my attention. I have made every effort to address [redacted]' issues. Specifically, we installed four new brake pads and four new rotors on her vehicle. Based on our service department's evaluation, this was not necessary, as the condition of these items was still in compliance with lemon law guidelines. However, we did this in an effort to satisfy [redacted].

Additionally, we replaced a front HID bulb and upgraded all four tires on the vehicle. Contrary to [redacted]' assertion, the original rims were not replaced, but, rather left intact on the vehicle. Our service department also thoroughly checked the vehicle's transmission and exhaust system for a leakage. No problems were found.

As is our normal procedure, we provided this customer with a copy of the Carfax for this vehicle. There is absolutely no indication on the Carfax that this vehicle has been in an accident. (We would be happy to provide you with a copy of the Carfax upon request).

Further, the description of the vehicle's make and model on the Carfax was exactly as it appeared on our window sticker and on our website. In none of these locations was the vehicle described as being the Sports Edition. As such, it is unclear to us why [redacted] thought it was.

At Northstar Auto Sales, we appreciate the importance of addressing our customers' concerns. We would be more than happy to have another thorough inspection of [redacted]' vehicle (including putting her navigation system to the test). I invite her to call me at any time during regular business hours to set up another service appointment.
