We ordered a custom flag just over a week ago. The flag arrived today and it is amazing! It turned our just as we submitted it and arrived before the anticipated deadline. The staff I worked with by phone was very helpful and the design tool was so easy to use. I would highly recommend NorthStar Flags!

Ordered custom printed flags that involved a color graphic. To be brief, the color was not just off, but didn't exist. They're claim is their disclaimer that "they can not guarantee color and that variations may occur". THIS WAS NOT A VARIATION, IT WAS A DIFFERENT COLOR. I called and emailed several times. I asked if we could rerun these flags to add more color. they said no. I asked if they could offer a partial refund. They said no. In the end they left me holding the bill for 250 custom print flags that I hate, for full price.
Customer service here is horrible. Don't think that the proof you see remotely resembles the flag you'll get. For the record, I didn't send a .jpg or .gif. I sent a VECTOR file professionally created by a graphic designer. In the end they decided that loosing a customer was better than making ANY concession.
I can't stress strongly enough. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.

Flag came without being properly proofread by staff or sending me a proof to check. There was an error. They sent a new flag without asking. No refundInvoice number: [redacted]Sales Rep: [redacted]I ordered a flag for a high school team's competition. The flag came with X's instead of letters, implying a font was missing. They never sent me a proof and apparently didn't proof it themselves. Here is all the correspondence that followed:Mrs. [redacted]:I just received the flag and it is completely unacceptable. I have attached a picture. I think it is clear that there should have been actually symbols on the top and not squares with X's. If this was unclear, you should have called to ask if that was what I wanted. We are supposed to have this flag for a team trip Wednesday and now we will not have a flag. I would like a refund. I can send you the flag back if you want.North Star Flags:Hey there[redacted] I have handed everything to my operations manager and we are going to rectify this problem for you. I am terribly sorry about this. I will be in touch with the new ship date.[redacted]:You never got back to me with a ship date, but a flag showed up anyway. It looks fine now, but it did not come before our team's competition so we will not be able to use it this year. I appreciate the new flag, but I am unwilling to pay for a flag that the team will not get to use. I still expect a refund for your mistake. I will gladly send both flags back if you wish.North Star Flags:Hey There[redacted] I sent everything to my manager and he is asking that you send them both back and he will be in touch. The shipping address is: Northstar Flags & Flagpoles[redacted] Desired SettlementI would like the $120 for the flag, the $14.50 for the shipping, and the $9.08 for the tax refunded, a total of $143.58.If the company wants the flags back, I would like to receive paid shipping labels (or equal payment based on the weight of the package) so that I do not have to cover the cost of returning two flags.Business Response Mrs [redacted] ordered this flag via our "Design Your Own" flag option from our website. When a customer orders this way, NO Proof if done - as it is accepted once customer places the order. The first flag was printed and delivered incorrectly, it was human error. Once the error was brought to my attention, the correction was made and another flag was sent. I have placed 2 calls to Mrs [redacted] and sent an email, attempting to discuss the terms of her refund.

I recently ordered custom desk flags for my employees. In their printed catalog and online, the mini desk flags are all pictured with a plastic base so they are able to stand up. It is not stated anywhere that bases are not included. They don't advertise bases for sale next to the flags and they are not even for sale in their printed catalog. I contacted customer service and they told me they're not included but I can pay more for them. I told them I was upset with their false advertising and that I am trapped into paying extra for bases since the flags are custom printed and non-returnable! The manager wrote back a very snarky response that I should have known they would be handheld flags. He accepted no responsibility but offered me 20% off bases. I will NEVER do business with them again and bought my bases elsewhere. False advertising and very RUDE customer service! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

FLAG I RECEIVED HAS VISIBLE CRACKS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF IT HANGING.I ORDERED TWO FLAGS FROM NORTHSTAR ON 12/6/13. THE FLAGS WERE OVER $300.00 EACH. THEY ARE VERY POOR QUALITY, WITHIN ONE WEEK OF HANGING OUR FLAG, THERE ARE VISIBLE CRACKS ALL THROUGH IT. I SENT MY COMPLANT DIRECTLY TO [redacted] AT NORTHSTAR ON 12/23/13 AND RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I purchased a $515 flag in July and hung it on the first day of school on August 31. It is October 16 and it is tearing and fraying. I noticed on October 9th that one of our flags was fraying. We have 3 10'x15' flags all ordered from different companies. The one that is torn and fraying was ordered from NorthStar Flag & Flagpole Co. I called Monday and spoke to a [redacted] who gave me her email to send a picture of the damage. She emailed me back Thursday to say: "We have gone through and closely reviewed the photo that you sent. Unfortunately I don't know that there is anything that can be done. Based on the size flag that you received, with the wind blowing, it is very likely to have more stress applied to the material when it is blowing. It will crack and whip a bit harder than a smaller flag, because it is much heavier. If you would like to reorder a smaller size, we will glad to get that in and have it out for you."I could not accept that they are not standing by their product after less than a month and a half of use so I called and spoke to her head, a man named [redacted]. He essentially told me the same thing saying that they are not responsible. I have been told by another flag retailer that typically flags of this size will have to be replaced every 8 months or so. I am aware of this and have budgeted for this for the year but, one month is unacceptable. As I mentioned above I have 2 other flags flying right beside it. Neither of them are tearing or fraying and they were less expensive than this flag from NorthStar.Desired SettlementI would like a refund from this company, not an exchange. I can not support a company that does not stand by their products at all. I would much rather find another company to do business with. Business Response /[redacted]/Unfortunately as explain to Mr. [redacted] we can not be held responsible for a flag that has been exposed to a number of conditions that we are not in control of. Time is not an accurate indicator of how long a flag should last. Weather is a huge component to the life of a flag. We use only the highest quality materials when producing all of our products. We even include instructions of how to take care of your flag to ensure it's longevity. The weather and someone's care of a flag is completely out of our control. We absolutely have no problem replacing and or refunding a customer when we find that our product has been faulty in some way. The picture that Mr. [redacted] sent to us is reflective of a flag that has been subjected to harsh environmental conditions. Also because of the size of the flag this would be compounded if not taken down when storms are present. When any fabric is exposed to harsh conditions and one of the worst storm seasons on record it is bound to show the effects. The issue that happened to Mr. [redacted] flag did not happen over night or to normal exposure to the elements. We would gladly refund Mr. [redacted] 1/2 of the purchase price of the flag but cannot offer a full refund for the reasons mentioned above. Have oder a custom garden flag. The customer service that I received was great she walked me through everything from start to finish. When I receive my flag it was beautiful the graphics on the flags was so colorful and it came in a timely manner thank Nortstar Flags Company for your help in making my flag.

"I had a very positive experience from beginning to end with this company. The online design process was very user friendly, the order process straightforward and their communication from start to finish including tracking was always up to date. Would not hesitate to order from them again or recommend to a friend or colleague."

The product received is beyond Cheap. Over charged for shipping and handling. The web page shows a flag with two grommets and the flag you get is onI purchased model ** XXX-XXXXX and **XXX-XXXXX flags from this company who show one flag on their web page and below it talk about another. They ship you the other. The fabric quality is so cheap if anyone actually felt this product they would never sell a single unit. I called the company to inquire about returning, as I was completely disappointed in the junk I received; I was immediately pushed to some bully boy who said "we didn't make a mistake, you got what you ordered, and we are not taking the product back!" Great customer service! The money to that point meant nothing to me, but for them to immediately tell me they're not taking this junk back, tells me they know they're selling inferior quality junk and they don't want it back. I fully intend to dispute this charge with my credit card company and I warn anyone interested in flags to stay as far away from this company as you can. They do not stand behind their product whatsoever and they know it!Desired SettlementMoney refund for the absolute junk this company sells! If Mr [redacted] had called and made his expectations known to us, we would have met his expectations. As to his reference about shipping, he is in the [redacted] state) and we are in North Carolina, he was charged in accordance with the distance. Mr [redacted] gave Northstar NO opportunity to come to any resolution before he began spouting obscenities and calling names(I choose not to repeat)Northstar provided Mr [redacted] with EXACTLY what he chose to order online.
