My mom was living in one of their condos. She is 81 and has severe COPD and dementia. She was living at home with a In Home Worker who would come in for 3-4 hours to help her out. The dementia got so severe, she would lose her bills. I caught on to this and tried my best to get her caught up. She is now in a skilled nursing facility. I am writing this because this company sent a bill with a $30 late fee. When I sent in the payment (for 3 months) I included a letter asking them to waive the fee. Last month I got another statement that showed the late charge still due. Given the situation, I cannot believe they are so greedy over $30 that they do not care about their tenants, just collecting their money. My mom has lived there since 2001 and has NEVER been late on any of their bills. To me this is bordering on disability discrimination/age too. I have not paid the $30 and am not going to. I will escalate this as far as I have to. It's not about the $30, it's the PRINCIPLE of the matter. They do not even deserve one star. I have reached out to them in the past for my mom over a few minor things (Mainly with the gardeners) and they never return calls. I got one person on the phone before and they were very unhelpful. :(
