Highly unprofessional service and extremely rude managementMovers upon pick up did not pack the items on the quote first as we had asked them while going through all the itemsThis caused us to be charged an excessive amount in overages which we were forced to pay before they would pack up the remaining items on the signed quote
Upon delivery, the company demanded more money before they would unlock their doors to deliver our itemsThey stated that it was because of the address they were making the delivery toThis address was upfront at time of quote and the company stated it would be no issues to deliverOnce they threatened to leave with our items, we could do nothing but pay to have them start unloadingWhen they opened the doors immediately we saw that there were multiple damaged boxes and broken
We called the company while they were unpacking the items to discuss all this and was speaking to Sam, the dispatch ManagerHe did not seem to see the problem and used vulgar language while on the phoneWe are still trying to resolve this issue with this company
It is obvious that they do not care about the people they are serving or the items we entrust them with

Honestly we chose this company because we heard good things and my child was having surgeryNot only did they arrive very late the day she had surgery, they "packed" up everythingThey packed our washer but not the parts that make it work, they left materials behind and after they told us they packed up all the boxes in the garage per my requestWe found four more boxesWe called the company to see if they could turn aroundCynthia called me and stated that their contracts were iron clad and that they would charge us for everything including the blanketI got really upset and they connected me to a manager which turned out to be another customerThe customer was excessively upset as wellOnce I finally got hold of the manager, he stated he would take off in fees we had to spend shipping stuff to usThey stated they w ould call us the day before our stuff arrived and have it deliveredthey had or some odd days from the date we requestedWe called the day before we requested because we had an emergency and my husband was told they were going to charge us moreHe asked firmly that our stuff could be delivered on the first to which they replied its not on the scheduledI called today and got put on hold and passed around and finally threatened to call legal and report it to the news stationsHE hung up on meMy husband called back trying to be reasonable, he hung up on himI called back per my husband's request and because I threatened to sue and my "*** attitude" he told me I wasn't getting any answers today
I did a long distance move to Tennessee and Mike helped me arrange the process start to finish, starting with an inhome estimateIt was very close to two other inhome estimates and the rate was competitive for sure
On moving day, the guys rocked the show despite sever stormsIn between rain showers they'd load the truck and while it poured they'd haul stuff from my 3rd floor walkup to the foyerEverything was inventoried and the foreman made some specific recomendations on how to pack my stuff so nothing broke and also to save me money
I gave them my first available delivery date and the office was surprisingly good about keeping me up to dateThere was a slight delay due to weather and traffic and they called me to discuss delivery options for the next dayAnd the delivery driver was amazing! My apartment complex is difficult to access with a semi but he skillfully navigated it, eliminating a need for shuttle or long carryI was fully prepared to pay those additional services but saved money because they pulled it offAfter all was said and done, they unloaded, got their blankets, and some stuff reassembled in time for me to be at work by noon (with my own minute commute factored in!)!
I've had some luck with moving over the years but this has far been my best experience! With everything else I've been juggling these past few months preparing, it was really a great relief to feel they cared as much as I did about a seamless and cost efficient moveThank you so much!
Northstar Moving Transportation Co is the first moving company I have moved with that I felt like was truly professional. When they arrived, and I found out that this was the kind of company I was working with, I was actually quite concerned that I was going to go over budget. However, I explained to them what my budget was and they made every effort to stay within that. I truly appreciate their understanding and willingness to work with me. On top of that, they really did hustle. They provided wardrobe boxes, wrapped my furniture with padding and plastic wrap and even protected my carpet and delivered all my belongings intact. I would definitely recommend them, and use them again if ever needed.
So I've only moved 2 times in my life and this was the second time. My previous move was a corporate move which paid for everything, they had used [redacted] to move me.That move was so-so, I guess my expectations were higher because I used a national service and had some of my items broken/damaged. So for this move I wanted to avoid this at all costs. I put in a online request for my move and got a ton of calls, one of many being from North Star. After naming off my items to the sales rep. I believe his name was Tom, he was able to get me on a shared truck to bring down the cost of the move (being on a budget I also had to be price savvy). After I put down my deposit I received an email with my inventory that I went over with him. He told me I would get a QA call a week before my move to go over the details. Well after anxiously waiting for that call it finally happened. I spoke to Sam who told me how to pack my breakables and solidify everything I went over with Tom. The crew showed up a couple days later to load up my belongings which didn't take long. I spent longer talking to them then the move actually took. They were friendly and definitely made me feel better about my move. About a week and a half later I received my goods making sure to check for damages. Everything looked just as it did at pickup so I was pretty satisfied and couldn't ask for anything better. I would use these guys again but I'm hoping I don't have to relocate again.
