Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The business's response is exactly why I have the complaintI moved out of state, do not have a residence in NYS and therefore cannot get NYS insurance for my vehicleNorthtown has taken no responsibility for their actions, hence the complaint I am filingIt would be illegal for me to keep my car registered and insured in a state I do not reside inNor did they offer any assistance on the double state tax situation, which I finally received direction from the [redacted] tax department onNorthtown's business practices revolve around as many sales as possible and because of this, they tell the customer only what they want to hear at the time of the sale and do not back that up if there is an issue Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com spoke to *** *** todayHe stated that his recommendation would be to leave it under NYS until the lease expires

The subject vehicle had tires installed at Northtown World Auto on 01/03/@ 135,miles on invoice #***Our next contact with Mr. *** was on 01/26/stating that the left rear wheel had come off at highway speedsMr. *** drove the vehicle to Northtown World Auto
Center and it was subsequently inspected on 01/27/(invoice #***)At this time the vehicle had 137,miles on it, having traveled 1,miles in the days subsequent to the tire installationI was present at the time of the inspection and instructed the service personnel to make a photographic record of the vehicle condition, including the undercarriageI found no damage to the vehicle consistent with the loss of a wheel at speedI found no fresh body panel damage to the left rear of the vehicle, though I did record old and existing damage to almost all body panels on the vehicle and did photograph the corrosion present in the damaged areasUpon inspecting the undercarriage of the chassis I find no point of impact or "scrape", fresh damage to the left rear, or any damage to the body or undercarriage consistent with the chassis contacting pavement at speed. We did find a black substance, possibly tire material, had transferred to the top of the left rear wheel wellIt is however in a portion of the wheel opening that has been previously repaired and evidences a significant amount of corrosion indicative of and consistent with an old repair of old damageWe have a file of digital photographs should you choose to review themThe left rear wheel shows evidence that it has been loose at some point, with wear in the wheel lug openingsThe inside of the wheel and both sides of the tire are free of any sign of damage though at the time of the inspectionMr. *** was notified on 01/27/that the wear on the left rear wheel renders it unsafe to use and was admonished from driving with that wheel on the vehicle. In addition, the left rear brake pads were found to be new since 01/03/2015, having been replaced very recently, although the rotor on the left rear is not newClearly the left rear wheel was removed to facilitate installation of the brake pads subsequent to the tire replacementThe lug nuts on the left rear wheel are a match to the lug-nuts on the other wheels and evidence use and corrosionThis is odd given that all purportedly fell off at highway speed and were presumably lost.Having seen the damage associated with loose wheels many times and being familiar with the time elapsing between service and wheel failure, it is clear that the vehicle did not operate for 1,miles with a loose wheelDespite this though, when I spoke with Mr. *** I made a conciliatory offerI offered that if Mr. *** were to provide to me original receipts for the reasonable replacement of the damaged wheel & associated items, I would review them for reimbursementNorthtown does not acknowledge responsibility for this matter, but rather makes this offer as a one-time goodwill gestureMr. *** has, as of yet, elected not to take me up on our offer. Please note that he attached invoices reflect the name "*** ***"This is the "significant other" to whom Mr. *** refersMs. *** is related to a dealership employee and has reached out to me to apologize for Mr*** actions. Please also note that Mr. *** *** is no longer in our employ and further correspondence should be directed to the writer.Thank-you for your time and consideration of these comments.Sincerely,*** ***Director, Fixed OperationsNorthtown Automotive Companies*.***@***.comenclosures: Northtown Invoice #***- 01/03/2015 Northtown Invoice #***- 01/27/

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Mr. [redacted] is sadly mistaken! Nobody apologized for my actions, actually [redacted] called you a liar and stated to me "she said no such thing." Her son does work for northtown, I was NOT putting blame on anybody just stating the obvious northtown put my tires on, and on 12 January the rear driver side tire came off. luckily a [redacted] tow truck driver just by happen to be behind me. When I called [redacted] to let her know what happened she called her son who works for northtown to find out if the tow truck driver could bring it there. [redacted] told his mother NO. So I had to have the tow truck driver bring it and drop it off on our front lawn. I called my brother up who is a mechanic and he helped me replace the rotor, brakes and lug bolts and nuts so I could drive the truck. It wasn't until I talked to a friend of mine who asked me if I talked to anybody besides [redacted], which I told him no. So he suggested I go to the northtown dealership and talk to them. I spoke to a woman behind their counter ,I beleive her name was [redacted], I explained to her what happened, it was on a Saturday, the 24th of Jan.She told me to bring my truck in on Tuesday the 27th, and they would take a look at it and fix the problems. Seeing most of the work was done, all I was requesting was for my tire to be rebalanced and for an alignment to make sure the new tires I just brought would wear properly, also while they had it up on the hoist if they could finish the brakes on the passenger side, and to spray some primer on the chipped paint. now I find out my rim was also damaged so this also needs replaced. At no time did Mr. [redacted] tell me that he would pay for my invoices! mr [redacted] stated for me to fix the problems myself and he would go over the invoices with me,BIG difference! Instead of helping me Mr. [redacted] instructed his employees to bring my truck in take pictures wih out my knowledge, pretty much called me a lyer and tell me there was nothing wrong with my truck, and oh by the way you have a bad rim dont drive on it. Seeing its my only vehicle I have no choice but to drive it. So the odometer reading they took on the 27th was irrelevant because the damage was on the 12th. I have no problem getting a statement from the tow truck driver if I need to, and My brother who is a mechanic and did the repairs in the worst possible conditions (blizzard). Also more witnesses if need be of the day of the tire coming off! Of tow truck bringing home my truck and of us working on the truck. Also if they would of asked instead if being sneaky I could of showed them the damaged rotor that was sitting in the back bed of the truck. The new rotor looked rusty becase it was driven on since the 12th of January. I've got the original pictures of the damage the day it happened nobody asked me for those! All mr [redacted] statement are just his opinion not the facts.
Regards,
[redacted]

Northtown World Auto Center sincerely apologizes for any concerns or difficulties Ms. [redacted] encountered during the purchase of her vehicle.I have researched the matter in question with the State of New York [redacted] of [redacted] & [redacted] and have attached their form [redacted] as a reference. It is our understanding that Ms. [redacted] did not present a [redacted] driver’s license or proof of permanent residency in another state on the date of her purchase from Northtown World Auto.  Given the absence of those items, the State of New York requires that taxes be paid in New York.  Relocation after that date would not alter that.Based on the information we received, I do not see how we could have handled the matter any differently under the laws of the State of New York.Once again, we apologize that this has created a difficulty for Mr. [redacted].Thank-you for your time and consideration of these comments. Sincerely,[redacted]. Ms. [redacted]'s vehicle was repaired as the result of an accident in which she was a claimant.  Her father ([redacted]) has spoken with the collision manager and they will review the concerns on Wednesday, March 25th.  An [redacted] Insurance adjuster will also be involved as they will ultimately make...

the decision as to whether or not Ms. [redacted]'s concerns are accident related.  Northtown will correct and stand behind anything related to repairs that we performed, Wednesday and in the future.  We look forward to resolving all concerns to her satisfaction.

complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The business's response is exactly why I have the complaint. I moved out of state, do not have a residence in NYS and therefore cannot get NYS insurance for my vehicle. Northtown has taken no responsibility for their actions, hence the complaint I am filing. It would be illegal for me to keep my car registered and insured in a state I do not reside in. Nor did they offer any assistance on the double state tax situation, which I finally received direction from the ** tax department on. Northtown's business practices revolve around as many sales as possible and because of this, they tell the customer only what they want to hear at the time of the sale and do not back that up if there is an issue.
