Complaint: [redacted]I am Not rejecting or accepting this proposal at this time.   The original complaint was because The bill kept climbing with no additional services performed.  North west medical specialties were unable to explain how a bill could climb over $2,000 with no services performed.  Then they came and wanted to adjust the payment schedule.  I am open to the idea of a "Lump Sum" payment however nowhere in the response from the company did they explain how the bill could climb without them performing services for me. This is the core of my complaint. All other medical specialties have always started with the full amount and all payments and adjustments went towards the outstanding amount until satisfied. At some point one has to put their foot down and demand an accounting of the billing practices to be sure it is my bill I am paying on. Read my complaint and you will see what I am talking about.

I have reviewed the account for this patient as well as contacted the collection agency and found the following.The outstanding balance as of today is $1761 .96. There has...

been no interested added to the account. Thisincluded a recent payment for March 2016 of $50.
At some point in the past an arrangement was made for $50 per month to be paid each month, which was tobe reviewed occasionally to see if it could be increased if circumstances change with the patient. It is notedthat there were several phone conversations documented regarding this as well as offers to settle the accountwith a discount extended to the patient. These offers were declined.
Per the notes on the account there was a conversation with the patient's spouse on or around December 22,2015 about increasing the payment. Again, a discount was extended to settle the account in full but wasdeclined. Additionally, the individual indicate that "they cannot make any larger payment." At that time therewas also discussion about the account being sent to a collection agency. In January 2016 the account wasforwarded to a collection agency.
In my conversation today with the collection agency manager, they received a cease and desist order from thepatient. They have stopped all contact at this time and are awaiting further direction from me.At this time we would like to see the account resolved as does the patient. We propose to cancel the accountwith the collection agency. In a good faith effort, we would like to settle the account for a lump sum payment of$1,300 or increase the payments so the account may be resolved in 6-8 months.
