Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I was offered $for the inconvenience not the amount requestedI just want to have it be cleared it was not the amount I originally requested as the reply makes it seem

The original refund amount which the patient was actually entitled to after insurance payment was $ This amount was sent to the patient on 11/10/ This refund was already processed prior to this Revdex.com business This is the actual correct amount the patient should be receiving The $is an additional amount that was sent to the patient on 11/14/which in fact adds up to equal the requested $ To be clear, this additional $is a separate check that was sent, which when added to the correct refund amount of $179.00, satisfies the request

My office manager spoke with [redacted] on 11/15/2016 to discuss this matter.  [redacted] was offered the requested $269 as an apology for [redacted] not being available to evaluate her husband on a day when there were no patients scheduled in the office.  The anesthesia time in...

question is billed in 15 minute increments.  As [redacted] states in her letter, the anesthesia time was treatment planned for five 15 minute increments and the actual surgery fell within that allotted time frame and was therefor billed appropriately.  Regardless, I have paid her the requested amount and settled her dispute.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Please see attached letter.
I would like to respond to the notice that NW Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery received from Mr. [redacted]. Upon reviewing his account, Mr. [redacted] was seen and treated for the proposed treatment plan that he reviewed and signed on October 1,2015....

His statement about being over charged is incorrect.  The fee charged for his treatment is the industry standard in my area for this specific treatment.  Also, he was given a 10% veteran’s discount; therefor, he was actually undercharged for his treatment intentionally.  This is a thank you to any veteran I provide treatment for.  The patient portion was collected on the day of service.  Dr. H[redacted] is contracted with Mr. [redacted]’s dental insurance and was billed accordingly.  The insurance company was billed for the services rendered and did not pay as expected for the services.  This is common for insurance companies to do and appeals are often necessary to cover more of the patient’s financial portion.  As a courtesy, we filed an appeal with the insurance in March 2016 which took additional time to get resolved.  During this time, Mr. [redacted] called our office multiple times in reference to the appeal and was informed each time that the appeal process was being reviewed by the insurance company and that there had been no decision yet.  The insurance payment was finally received in June 2016.  Once the payment was received from insurance, it created a credit on the account.   Mr. [redacted] called and requested his refund as soon as possible and was advised that we send out monthly refunds. As a courtesy, we did a rush refund check to him by mail.  Unfortunately, there was an error that the check was not signed due to it being printed prior to the batch of refunds.  Mr. [redacted] was notified that he has the option to send the check back or return it to the office for the signature.   Patient’s wife agreed to bring the check to the office to expedite getting the check signed.  We apologize for the inconvenience that the unsigned check has caused Mr. [redacted].   The rest of his encounter with our office was typical of any other patient who has insurance.  My office staff appealed his refund as a courtesy to him.  Many health care facilities leave this for the patient to deal with themselves.    While I can understand the frustration that Mr. [redacted] may have with the delay in getting his check, he needs to understand that insurance payments and appeals are not a quick and simple process.  My staff went through a great amount of trouble to get his insurance company to pay for a portion of his treatment.
I acknowledge that the unsigned check was a mistake on our part and agree to pay for mileage expenses to make the trip to our office to have the check stamped.  Sincerely, Bryan *. H[redacted]
