Northwest Residential Appraisal Reviews (%countItem)

Appraisal took 3 weeks and was never fully completed which delayed our loan.

We recently had an appraiser (Jeffery D. P) from Northwest Residential Appraisal appraise our home for a refinance. He was very incompetant and the whole time he was here his buttcrack was showing, very unprofessial.
He was rushed and missed important areas of the home, where I had to point it out to him or he would've completely skipped those rooms. He treated the whole process as a quick in-and-out situation like he didn't have time to spare and actually complete a thorough appraisal of the home.
He had us hold up the measuring tape to the wall, but before we even put the measuring tape up to the end of the wall he would say he already got the measurement, even though we were still a foot away from the wall. And when we mentioned that to him, he said "He got the measurements, he's just that good and has perfected his technique." In the end, he put a much lower square footage on our appraisal than what our first appraisal said from when we first bought the home.
Stay away from this company and if you get Jeffery D. P as an appraiser REQUEST SOMEONE ELSE!

This value reconsideration should have ended with your lender. This is defamation of my employees professionalism and my company. I know the state protects us against such people when they take such action against us with them as do financial institutions. How does one protect their business and employees from people like this in a place such as this? The lender decided that my employees actions and report were both valid and still send him work. No complaints from the state. This man has practiced for over 15 years and at least 8 have been in my employment with no complaints. The owner of the property was not happy with the appraisal value. This was obvious by the value reconsideration sent by the lender to appease the owner. It is their right to call for a value reconsideration. Getting no where with the lender, the owner has now decided to try and ruin the reputation of my employee and my company. This should not be allowed. The state does protect our license but not our reputation from people who are simply upset due to a value that does not meet a predisposed opinion of value. Our job is to be impartial. Can the Revdex.com protect us against people like this?

Our review has nothing to do with our appraised value, there is a whole other formal process for dealing with that. Our review has to do with our dissatisfaction about how the appraisal was conducted, the lack of thoroughness and lack of professionalism from the appraiser. As soon as he stepped outside our house, we were unhappy with how the appraisal was conducted and we discussed the points in my original review amongst ourselves, before we even received back an appraised value. The fact that you, as the owner of a company, didn’t even look further into our issue or review, but instead were quick to press blame on us for “being upset about our appraised value” now confirms our belief about how unprofessional this company is as a whole.
