Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
so why did you continue to do the alignment with the tires not correctly matching and a tie rod loose? If that is the cause then you still owe me a refund for do the alignment on non-matching and non-correct tiresHowever my tires are all the same size, may be different brands, but same sizes! Also my mileage is not at 284xxx, I had a motor swap and I only have about but that would not have anything to do with suspension.

Hi,
to elaborate, the first time I was told that using a used part "might" not work and the air conditioning may not work. However, when it was completed the first time, I was sent on my way with a false sense of hope. The A/C did work for about 2 miles. NW Auto did not "test drive" the car with the a/c. They did not "test" the system to see if there was metal in the system. They did not tell me anything other than it "worked". I paid them and went on my way.

When I brought it back a half hour or so later, all of a sudden Russ tested the system in front of me and showed me that there was metal in the system. It seemed to me that he should have tested it before he allowed me to drive it away. I got the feeling later on that he wanted to get paid, and he blamed it on faulty parts.  I thought he should have checked the system before allowing me to drive it. I assumed he would do what it took to "fix" the problem.
When I talked with Russ the second time over the phone a few days later I made sure that what he was going to do would "fix" the problem with the A/C. He told me it was not the compressor, but the system that was bad. The system was infiltrated with metal and that was what made the compressor not work. Those were his words.
So, Upon talking with him, He let me know that he was going to flush the system, put on another used compressor, and that would fix the situation with the air conditioning. He never said that it was a "maybe" situation. why would I travel 600 miles, spend another 10 hours driving, and another $650 in parts/labor, as well as food/gas, and another 6 hours of waiting for a "maybe" "fix".  I assumed he and his crew were accredited air conditioning techs and he knew what he was doing.
I'm not the professional in this picture. That is why I 'trusted' his word that this would "fix" my air conditioning. Otherwise I would have just taken to someone here in Tacoma and let them fix it. The only reason I went there in the first place is that I had a history with them and a friend of mine in Spokane had told me that he trusted them. They were also the lowest price on "fixing" the a/c.
I think the whole thing could have been averted had the people at NW Tire checked the system for problems. Russ had said that the pressures weren't right, so why would he send it out the first time?  And the second time, why wouldn't they check the pressures and the system after flushing?  Why would they tell me they could fix it and then after 5 hours of waiting the second time tell me they couldn't do anything? They still wanted paid for services rendered and they hadn't kept their part of the bargain and fixed the air conditioning like they said they could and would. They gave me a quote for $650 to "fix" the air conditioning. They did not fix it, so I did not pay them.

There receipt says they checked the TPS sensor so of they checked it like [redacted] did they would have seen the part was bad I had to unhook the TPS sensor a mile after leaving NW Tire and Automotive so there is no way they checked it because when [redacted] did it was all over the last place the part had already been returned to Napa but not thanks to the money I paid out to NW Tire and Automotive a check means you check the part after install not put it on and say you checked it on the receipt which I still have a copy of that clearly says TPS Sensor checked and I can get a copy of what [redacted] check looked like if need be.

Review: On June 27, 2014, I purchased four new tires from NORTHWEST TIRE & AUTOMOTIVE located at [redacted] (Invoice # [redacted]). The next day after the tire purchase, I started my car and the low tire pressure symbol was activated on my dashboard. One of the four tires I had purchased had already lost tire pressure, and I figured maybe the business did not put enough air in a tire. I filled the tire with air and proceeded from Spokane to Puyallup, WA where I reside. About every seven to ten days I found myself putting air in the tire when the tire pressure symbol activated on my dashboard, and I did not know why my new tire was leaking air. Eventually, on 8/29/14 I took my car to [redacted] Complete Auto Care located at [redacted]. The service technician inspected the tire for leaks and found the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor to be broken. The service technician stated whoever dismounted the tire last broke the sensor. I called Northwest Tire & Automotive and [redacted] answered the phone. I explained the problem and [redacted] transferred me to [redacted], who told me that I would need a new seal and that would fix the problem. With the TPMS sensor broken and the stem valve bent, repair was not an option. I had to spend $127.34 to purchase and have installed a new TPMS sensor from [redacted] to replace the broken one (Invoice # [redacted]). I probably would not be as disappointed as I am now if NorthWest Tire & Automotive would have just told me they broke the sensor while dismounting the tire. I am in possession of the broken sensor and have pictures and documentation from [redacted] Puyallup, a business that I believe is also accredited by the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: The sensor plus labor, shop supplies, and tax came to $127.34. I request the amount of $127.34 to be sent to me to cover damage caused to the sensor by NorthWest Tire & Automotive

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

[redacted],

I have used this company before without a problem. Came in for the $35 diagnostic for service engine light on , oil change, and tire change. Left with $1100 bill for under carriage body work and they never serviced engine, changed tires. Not happy. Feel I was deceived and ripped off. And still have to go some place else to have engine and check light serviced which is still on. Unprofessional how they didnt even tell me light was still one. Will now to pay to have another mechanic check their work.

You will not find a more honest place to have your vehicle serviced. Both times I have had my car in, they have saved me money by not doing more work than originally thought needed. Professional and good value, but for me their a place I can trust! Highly Recommend.
