email sent to [redacted] 8/4/2016: Hello [redacted] , I have looked over everything and spoken to MJ about your project in detail I understand you are upset with finding what you are considering sub-par workmanship however I am not understanding the compensation you are asking for There are two questions here: Did we do the work incorrectly? Did we charge you for something that we did not complete (Which you would deserve a reimbursement)The answer to both of these questions is no The detail at the roof edge requires us to install Ice and Water barrier and a new start shingle which we did An argument can be made for the necessity of the new flashing at the roof edge, which we were more that willing to provide at no charge had you not had the roof replacement by another contractor The "missing" wood is from a fascia board that was cut short on construction of the home (Not incredibly uncommon) In order to fix this we would have had to remove, and probably replace, the gutter system and all of fascia board We were not contracted to do this nor did we see it as necessary to install the roof system that we were contracted to do The roof did not have issues at the gutter edge since the original roof was installed so we saw no need to ask for a change order for all new gutters and fascia boards.Since we did not charge you for extra wood replacement and you paid nothing to correct any sagging of the shingles, nor should you have, I don't feel compensation is required Thank you, [redacted] Owner----------------------- after this email Infinity heard nothing from [redacted] until his Revdex.com response that he is not happy with our explanationToday, Aug 11, 12:30pm [redacted] called [redacted] to discuss the situation in more detail, and to ask what [redacted] what dollar amount he is looking for [redacted] offered $back, [redacted] said he would have to think about it and get back to us [redacted] ,Infinity Exteriors LLC

Infinity will absolutely stand behind our workmanship and certainly complete any outstanding contract work that has been missed Not installing the RIDGE VENT was a big oversight and for that I do apologize, however Infinity DID INSTALL SOFFIT VENTS at the time the roof was replaced Infinity was NOT CONTRACTED TO INSTALL BAFFLES As I stated in an email to you on March @12:33PM Infinity would have had [redacted] or another tech out within a week to cover the existing gable vents and install the ridge vent that was listed in the original contract, or at your earliest convenienceHowever you did not contact us to complete the work at that time, instead you emailed me that I would hear from your attorney Again, you mentioned installing baffles in the attic, however that was not in the original contract or scope of work as [redacted] explained when he and [redacted] spoke on I have also spoke to every gutter tech that was at your home both originally and in August of for the service call In my discussions, all of them said that the only defect with the flow of your gutters was that they were clogged with debris from the surrounding trees It had nothing to do with the pitch or angle of the downspouts originally installed While at your home the gutter team not only cleaned the clogged gutter but also adjusted the pitch/angle of the downspout in an attempt to "rig" a way to allow more debris in the downspout (at no additional charge for either item) They also added the 8' extensions that were not included in the original quote or contract (again at no additional charge) In speaking specifically with Mark and Mike they both recall a discussion with you about their recommendation to you about adding gutter protection as the best means of prevention from this problem happening in the future I know that you also said that there was a "nail" through a downspout that also contributed to the clog, however the gutter crews do not use nails to secure gutters because they do not stay in or hold aluminum, they only use small zip screws Infinity is not liable for any water damage caused by the water back up caused by your gutters The gutters were installed to manufacturer and warranty specifications and additional work was done free of charge because we were trying to help you as a customer All of the water and moisture issues you described to [redacted] when he was at your home were caused by water overflowing your clogged gutters and pooling into your soffits, then sitting in those soffits for as long as a year and three months I want to make it very clear that I do not feel this has anything to do with the newly installed roof and gutter system and everything to do with gutter clogging and the overflowing into the soffits. If Infinity was to claim this damage with our Liability insurance they will absolutely not cover a homeowner maintenance claim In March of I recommended for you to make a claim with you Homeowners insurance Infinity will be happy to answer to answer any questions your adjuster may have for us Aaron your estimator also confirmed that the only contact after you initial installation was over a year later about your gutters being clogged We also keep a detailed log with any calls, emails, or hr answering service messages, and NONE SHOW ANY CONTACT IN JANUARY OF from you During the inspection performed on June 29, by Shamrock Building Inspection Consultants LLC (an independent and reputable building and home inspector) The report states “the roof was installed properly, staggered, not run in vertical rows”{pg6of11} it also states “the attic appears to be in process of being reinsulated- can lights that are not fitted with air sealed boxes are often a contributor to warm air infiltration into attic- attic hatch lacks insulation - missing insulation was observed ”{pg10&of 11}In closing, Infinity can not risk coming back to your home to do any work before an agreement has been reached between our attorney’s We have been actively engaged in legal negotiations with our attorney, [redacted] and your attorney, Todd Jex [redacted] assured me today that communication has been constantInfinity is a family owned and operated business who stands behind their work and we will help in any way we can with this unfortunate situationKindest Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] we talked about the email dated 8/04/ 1.Did we do the work incorrectly I said everyone I talked to said the gap should have been taken care of [redacted] agreed When I explained how the contractor that did my new roof replacement accomplished the project [redacted] interjected how it should have been done "correctly." I asked him if he got the irony of the comment Did we charge you for something we did not complete? I had the contract and I referenced the portion about the ice and water shield Furnish and install Ice and water barrier will be installed under all valley metal and around all roof penetrations When I asked he he considered the area were I could put my hand into the attic space a roof penetration, he agreed When it came to compensation, I said it seems you want zero so what if I say reimburse the whole amount He did not like that scenario I said for him to come up with a price and he stated he was not going to act like a used car salesman I asked what the cost of the roof was and he stated that was immaterial I think it has a great deal to do with itThere is a cost of materials and labor involved and I was trying to come to desirable conclusionI knew we were at an impasse at that moment and I stated we should both sit and think of it

Tell us why here [redacted] , I apologize you do not feel the job we preformed was what you paid forI am in the process of looking further into your notes and pictures from the job I will be in contact with you by tomorrow afternoon, after gathering all of the information related to this situation I do see in my short investigation that the Service ticket for the complaint was made in December of and [redacted] came out saw the defect and then made plans for the repair in the warmer weather when the shingles were not frozenThen when it was discovered the problem was the short decking you and [redacted] met to discuss and make a revised plan to repair Infinity is proud to have our lifetime workmanship warranty that covers any defect due to installationIf the repair that was initially done was not sufficient we should have been made aware of it (upon its discovery)so we could have fixed the additional problem that was larger than what was discovered upon our initial inspection( the areas where the shingles were not lying flat) I do have a few additional questions: Was the roof completely redone, after the hail damage? Was the defect (gap) discovered by another contractor? Was the additional repair to the decking preformed by someone else? Infinity is a honest, hard working, family owned, business that does everything in it's power to keep customers happy and referring us to their family, and friendsWe are truly sorry we have let you down and I assure you it is not being taken lightlyPlease, feel free to contact me in the office at ###-###-#### before tomorrow if you have any other questions Kindest Regards, [redacted] Owner

Infinity will absolutely stand behind our workmanship and certainly complete any outstanding contract work that has been missed.  Not installing the RIDGE VENT was a big oversight and for that I do apologize, however Infinity DID INSTALL SOFFIT VENTS at the time the roof was replaced. ...

Infinity was NOT CONTRACTED TO INSTALL BAFFLES.  As I stated in an email to you on March 10 2017 @12:33PM Infinity would have had [redacted] or another tech out within a week to cover the existing gable vents and install the ridge vent that was listed in the original contract, or at your earliest convenience. However you did not contact us to complete the work at that time, instead you emailed me that I would hear from your attorney.  Again, you mentioned installing baffles in the attic, however that was not in the original contract or scope of work as [redacted] explained when he and [redacted] spoke on 2.22.17.  I have also spoke to every gutter tech that was at your home both originally and in August of 2016 for the service call.  In my discussions, all of them said that the only defect with the flow of your gutters was that they were clogged with debris from the surrounding trees.  It had nothing to do with the pitch or angle of the downspouts originally installed.  While at your home the gutter team not only cleaned the clogged gutter but also adjusted the pitch/angle of the downspout in an attempt to "rig" a way to allow more debris in the downspout (at no additional charge for either item).  They also added the 8' extensions that were not included in the original quote or contract (again at no additional charge).  In speaking specifically with Mark and Mike they both recall a discussion with you about their recommendation to you about adding gutter protection as the best means of prevention from this problem happening in the future.  I know that you also said that there was a "nail" through a downspout that also contributed to the clog, however the gutter crews do not use nails to secure gutters because they do not stay in or hold aluminum, they only use small zip screws.  Infinity is not liable for any water damage caused by the water back up caused by your gutters.  The gutters were installed to manufacturer and warranty specifications and additional work was done free of charge because we were trying to help you as a customer.  All of the water and moisture issues you described to [redacted] when he was at your home were caused by water overflowing your clogged gutters and pooling into your soffits, then sitting in those soffits for as long as a year and three months.  I want to make it very clear that I do not feel this has anything to do with the newly installed roof and gutter system and everything to do with gutter clogging and the overflowing into the soffits. If Infinity was to claim this damage with our Liability insurance they will absolutely not cover a homeowner maintenance claim.  In March of 2017 I recommended for you to make a claim with you Homeowners insurance.  Infinity will be happy to answer to answer any questions your adjuster may have for us.  Aaron your estimator also confirmed that the only contact after you initial installation was over a year later about your gutters being clogged.  We also keep a detailed log with any calls, emails, or 24 hr answering service messages, and NONE SHOW ANY CONTACT IN JANUARY OF 2016 from you.  During the inspection performed on June 29, 2017 by Shamrock Building Inspection Consultants LLC (an independent and reputable building and home inspector) The report states “the roof was installed properly, staggered, not run in vertical rows”{pg6of11} it also states “the attic appears to be in process of being reinsulated- can lights that are not fitted with air sealed boxes are often a contributor to warm air infiltration into attic- attic hatch lacks insulation - missing insulation was observed…”{pg10&11 of 11}. In closing, Infinity can not risk coming back to your home to do any work before an agreement has been reached between our attorney’s.  We have been actively engaged in legal negotiations with our attorney, [redacted] and your attorney, Todd Jex. [redacted] assured me today that communication has been constant. Infinity is a family owned and operated business who stands behind their work and we will help in any way we can with this unfortunate situation. Kindest Regards, [redacted]

situation.  I do see in my short investigation that the Service ticket for the complaint was made in December of 2014 and [redacted] came out saw the defect and then made plans for the repair in the warmer weather when the shingles were not frozen. Then when it was discovered the problem was the short decking you and [redacted] met to discuss and make a revised plan to repair.  Infinity is proud to have our lifetime workmanship warranty that covers any defect due to installation. If the repair that was initially done was not sufficient we should have been made aware of it (upon its discovery)so we could have fixed the additional problem that was larger than what was discovered upon our initial inspection( the areas where the shingles were not lying flat)  I do have a few additional questions: Was the roof completely redone, after the hail damage?  Was the defect (gap) discovered by another contractor?  Was the additional repair to the decking preformed by someone else?  Infinity is a honest, hard working, family owned, business that does everything in it's power to keep customers happy and referring us to their family, and friends. [redacted]  we talked about the email dated 8/04/16.  1.Did we do the work incorrectly.  I said everyone I talked to said the gap should have been taken care of.  [redacted] agreed.  When I explained how the contractor that did my new roof replacement accomplished the project [redacted] interjected how it should have been done "correctly."  I asked him if he got the irony of the comment.  2. Regards,
[redacted]I received a e-mail from [redacted].  We talked and she was looking for additional information.  She found out that I already was in contact with her husband and he received info and photos.  Her husband did not tell her,  she thought my first complaint was thru Revdex.com.  She was going to talk with him and then get back to me.  I told her if she needed more help I could resend the info to her. Thanks,[redacted]

After the office, [redacted], was made aware of any damage to the neighbor's home on 9/23/25, [redacted], our Service manager immediately called the owners to discuss a time to come meet to assess the damage.  [redacted] our Service Manager came to the home to inspect on the agreed upon date of Sept 29th....

After assessing the damage [redacted] did agree that it was not normal for that to happen and repeatedly apologized.  When the homeowner called to say they had a quote for $1800.00 to paint the siding he said he needed to speak to the owners because that quote is higher than what we could pay to have it done. After speaking with myself and the other owner, Josh, he said that we would either be happy to split that cost of the quote you received or use our in-house painters to paint it at no cost to you.  [redacted]'s notes then indicate he was waiting to hear back from you as to weather or not you wanted to accept the $900.00 to put toward your estimate or if you wanted to have us paint it. I have no notes about the call on Aug 17.I do sincerely apologize for what looks to be a miscommunication between you and the Service Manager [redacted].  I assure you there was no ill intent and we will be happy to repair any damage that was caused to your home either by crediting you the amount discussed or re-painting it ourselves. As for the broken light, I personally did not know anything about it, but will be happy to replace that set ( with a like set or compensate a reasonable value) Please, contact me at your earliest convenience at ###-###-#### or [redacted] and I will be happy to further assist you.   Sincerely,[redacted]
