Dear Revdex.com,
Please see the attached response to complaint...

#[redacted].
Respectfully,
Dr. [redacted]

Review: I wanted to bring to your attention all the inaccuracies that I have experienced at Norwalk Veterinary Hospital in [redacted]. All of which have centered around being over charged continuously for services that I have never ask for or for the wrong count of medical tablets dispensed and incorrectly billed at my expense. Dr. [redacted] is the only breeder vet in the area; this is why I am constantly subjected to these ordeals over the last two years. I respected Dr. [redacted] expertise in the past, but now feel that I need your assistance in making these matters right not only for myself but for other clients of Norwalk Veterinary Hospital.

Please see the attached documented files that I have been keeping and the first letter sent to Dr. [redacted] outlining the initial problem.

June, 2013, I brought two [redacted] puppies in to see Dr. [redacted] – he knew I was on my way and I still needed to wait for an hour in the car with the sick puppies. One puppy was very small and it was decided to only remove the dew claws from the heathier puppy. I was billed the removal of dew-claws from both puppies rather than the one that had the dew-claws removed.

2014, The wrong amount of antibiotic prescribed for [redacted] was dispensed in the sterile container and I was again charged for the higher amount not what was actually prescribed. I needed to inform Dr. [redacted].

8/2/2014, When [redacted] was brought in for an artificial insemination/breeding for her third litter, the bill read that I should pay for a sperm analysis – when in fact I never asked for it nor did I need a sperm analysis from a sire that we have used on two previous occasions and produced beautiful-healthy litters. I needed to get the owner, Dr. [redacted] on the phone and after many conversations, he corrected the bill. The receptionist was rude to my daughter and me about the non-payment of something I ever asked for. I was deeply hurt with the way we were treated and Dr. [redacted] knew of this as I called him as soon as I arrived home.

8/2/2014, During the very same visit, when [redacted] was brought in for this Artificial Insemination, AI, I paid for a licensed veterinarian to perform the AI and a technician performed the breeding. I was in the room, I saw the vet stand over [redacted], the technician. It was the technician who performed the AI. It was the expectation, as in the previous breedings, that the veterinarian should be the one to perform the AI. Two problems in the same visit. Both of which were discussed with Dr. [redacted].

2/23/15, Dr. [redacted] office strongly suggested that we perform 3 [redacted] tests at $117 (2/23/15, 2/27/15,3/2/15 and we performed 2 AIs @ $182 on 3/2/15,and 3/6/15. [redacted] did NOT conceive from this breeding. I struggled with the fact that it was too early and the results of the [redacted] testing did not reveal a result of a ‘5’ or even close, but because Dr. [redacted] wanted these tests, I complied. This was an initial out of pocket lost for us of approximately $1,000. This does not include the price of the [redacted] which all resulted in no conception.

3/20/15, [redacted], our [redacted], was brought in for a pregnancy ultrasound. My daughter and I waited for one hour – after the ultrasound, [redacted] was brought out and the technician said that we will be next to see Dr. [redacted] and to stay and wait. We never saw the doctor. It started to snow, so I told the receptionist, [redacted] that we have already waited an hour and we will need to leave and we left without ever talking to or meeting with Dr. [redacted]. After I told [redacted] that we cannot wait any longer, he said he will call us later. [redacted] did call us later just to inform us that Dr. [redacted] wanted him to add to the existing bill and charge us an additional $51.00 for the examination – when in fact, we never saw or talked with Dr. [redacted]. I always pay the amount on the invoice before leaving so the $133 was already paid prior to this call. I disputed this unfair – unjust charge.

Dr. [redacted] needs to be placed on notice that he should not and cannot over charge at will. I am only one client in many that walk through their doors that over the years have spent thousands of dollars for services that I never asked for a constant stream of mis-charges and mis-communications!

Please place Norwalk Veterinary Hospital on your radar screen. Today was the turning point for me and what has pushed me to write this letter to you. I tried to make an appointment with Dr. [redacted] to have our dogs [redacted] done and his office said that he will not see us because I will not pay the $51. This is truly disheartening as I never should have been charged this $51 originally. This has placed me in a situation where I need to get our dog’s [redacted] done and he will not do them as he has in the past. This veterinarian needs to practice honesty and the true care of animals – not greed and deceit!

Please let us know if you need any other documents.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Dr. [redacted] needs to continue to care for our dogs in a respectful and honest manner - to be truthful in the costs that he charges each of his clients and NOT to charge for services NOT rendered!
