We were initially contacted by the owner of *** ***'s apartment in August of They were requesting price quotes on replacing the unit vrepairing the compressorBecause of the age of the unit, we recommended replacing it as older units do not always tolerate a major repair such as
compressor replacement wellI have a chain of emails going back and forth between the owner and myself to this effectEventually, it was decided by the owner that the compressor should be replaced and this was done in OctoberThe faulty compressor was replaced with a new one and the unit was returned in working condition to *** ***.In June of 2017, we were contacted by *** *** because the unit was not coolingWe were not told that the apartment had been sold to new owners nor were we given the new owner's informationWe scheduled a service call and deemed it necessary to pull the unit back to our shop for further testingThe new compressor was failing and we replaced the compressor with another new one at no cost to anyoneThe unit was returned to *** *** and was working for a brief timeWhen we received another call that the unit was tripping the breaker (it had not done that here), we suggested that she have an electrician check out the breakerWe are not licensed electricians. After another call from *** ***, we returned to the apartment to find that the compressor had shorted outAgain, as stated above, because of the age of the unit, it was not tolerating the compressor replacementBoth my boss and myself suggested replacementManny spoke with *** *** and suggested she speak to the landlord or owner of the apartment*** *** did not offer the owner's information to usI went back to my emails from last year and contacted the person with whom I had done business with previouslyHe informed me that the apartment had been sold and he was going to contact the real estate agent and get me the new owner's info.*** *** continued to call the office and was very argumentativeShe was unable to accept our diagnosis of the machine and in order to free up our phone lines, we respectfully disconnected the callImmediately following that, *** *** continued to call, demanding to speak with Manny who was not present at that timeAgain, in order to free up our phone lines, we respectfully disconnected the call. In my last phone call with *** ***, I asked for the name/phone number of the owner of the apartment; that is the person that has the decision making power of what to do with the unitShe refused to give me the informationImmediately following, she proceeded to call the office repeatedly at least 30-times in a rowWe did not answer her calls as we had business to conduct and she was prohibiting us from doing thatWe fixed the unit last year and when it was found to not be working again this year, we fixed it again without a single chargeThere are other companies from who *** *** can receive AC service and from whom her landlord can purchase a new unitNorWest does and did stand behind its work, but there are instances when units are beyond repair.Thank you for your time

Review: Two service people came out on Wednesday, * October 2015 to check a leaking valve on my Ptac unit and the heat sensor. They told me it would be an easy fix and I would hear back from them on Friday, * October with a quote for the job. I wrote them a check for $92.52, which they explained would go towards the repair. They disconnected the unit so the leak would not continue until the unit was repaired (I currently do not have heat!). The check was cashed on *nm October. I never heard back from them. I have been calling repeatedly for the past two weeks and was told they were looking for the invoice (though my check had already been cased two weeks prior). I stressed that I would be leaving the country on * November and that I needed the leak and heat back on to protect the pipes from freezing while I am away. If I was lucky enough to get someone on the phone, they said they would call me back and never did. Finally, I managed to get an appointment for ** October for the first appointment in the morning (around 9am). I just received a phone call at 6.45pm informing that 'the boss' would not be honoring my appointment tomorrow morning and we need to reschedule in December when I am back. I do not have heat in my unit because they disconnected the unit and I am supposed to wait until December? I was told that I should hire another company and call them if I should need other service again in the future.Desired Settlement: I want my $92.52 reimbursed so that I can hire a new company to service the unit, per the guidance of Norwest.

Review: I purchased an air conditioner/heating unit in August 2013 and found out last June 2014 that the air conditioning is not working. It has been 3 1/2 weeks since Norwest diagnosed the unit has factory defect and it has been 2 weeks since they pulled it out of my apartment. Every time I call them to follow up on the status of the unit, they always say they have not heard back from the manufacturer. They could not tell me if it needs repair work or that it needs to be replaced since it is still under warranty.Desired Settlement: Expedite the repair or replace a new air conditioning unit or at least loan me a temporary unit until the repair is done/new replacement is available. Furthermore, I would like to know what are their liabilities towards their customers in cases like this.
