In response to claim [redacted], Nostalgia Products warranty is as follows: Nostalgia Products LLC (the “Company”) hereby warrants that for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase, this product will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal home...

use, provided that the product is operated and maintained in accordance with the operating instructions. As the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty, the Company will at its discretion either repair or replace the product found to be defective, or issue a refund on the product during the warranty period. This warranty is only available to the original retail purchaser of the product from the date of initial retail purchase, and is only valid with the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase date is required to obtain warranty benefits. All warranty claims must be brought to the attention of the Company within the warranty period and no later than 30 days of the failure to perform. This warranty does not cover normal wear or damage caused by shipping, mishandling, misuse, accident, alteration, improper replacement parts, or other than ordinary household use. You may be required to return the product (with shipping prepaid by you) for inspection and evaluation. Return shipping costs are not refundable. The Company is not responsible for returns damaged or lost in transit. Unless otherwise specifically permitted by the operating instructions, this warranty applies to indoor household use only. In order to obtain service under this warranty, please contact the Company at the telephone number listed above or by filling out the Customer Service Inquiry Form located at www.nostalgiaproducts.com. Warranty valid only in USA and Canada. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, which are hereby excluded to the extent permitted by law. In no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with this product or the use thereof. Some states, provinces or jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the foregoing exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. Ms. [redacted] was not the original purchaser of the product, nor was she able to provide a copy of the original sales receipt.  Ms. [redacted] indicated that the unit was gifted to her in 2014 and provided the date code 3210ME from her unit, which represents that the unit was manufactured the 32nd week of 2010.  All information provided by Ms. [redacted] was shared with our product developer and no safety concerns were identified.  Based on the information provided, Ms. [redacted] is outside of the warranty policy and therefore we were unable to exchange her unit for her. Sincerely, [redacted]

Based on the age of the unit (2010)and the information provided regarding the incident, this was deemed to be a warranty related concern.  Since its original manufacture date, this unit has been manufactured and sold continuously and there have not been any safety concerns related to the functionality of the unit. Thank you,  [redacted]

I AM the original owner, and it was gifted to us for our wedding in 2014!  NOT GIVEN to us by a previous owner.  This item was NEW IN THE BOX, when we received it.  **  The Unit in question is a fire hazard, and should be treated as a defective product and either refunded or exchanged.  Per the units issues, this shouldn't be considered a normal exchange - rather a safety hazard and defective unit.  Company should call a recall on this product.

My wife was contacted by the company and they asked us to return the item for a refund.  We have returned the item and are waiting for the refund at this time.  I will update you when the transaction has been completed.Thank you for following up.[redacted]

We received your letter dated 11/18, ID [redacted], regarding the complaint submitted by [redacted] and [redacted].  As the [redacted] indicated in their letter, we did provide them with a  replacement kettle for their popcorn machine.  When the replacement kettle did not work and they were unwilling to have us send them another replacement kettle but rather requested a full refund, we did suggest that they first try to work directly with Amazon as that is who the machine was purchased through.  We were not made aware that Amazon denied their request as we did not hear back from the [redacted].  Once we received your letter, we contacted the [redacted] immediately and informed them that we would pick up their inoperable unit and a refund was also issued to the customer.  Once the unit was received back at our location, our quality control team inspected the unit and it was identified that a wire had been disconnected, thus resulting in the machine not functioning properly. Please let me know if any further action is needed on our end. Thank you [redacted]Customer Service Manager[redacted]
