Notary - Rudy Gutierrez

My mother of 76 years old came to California from Utah to assist my brother who was going through a divorce. My brother is currently in a detention center and had no way to get assistance for himself. My mother only speaks Spanish and was very dishearten with my brothers situation, so she found a Notary, Rudy Gutierrez, who he offered to assist her in her time of need, broken hearted and alone in taking care of this process. I was not aware of this situation till a few months ago. Well my mother per Rudy Gutierrez's direction, he told her he could assist her with her son's divorce in filling an appeal to the court. My mother not knowing a thing about this, of course said yes! Mr. Gutierrez stated it would cost her $685 to file the appeal so my mother can get two vehicles that her ex-daughter in-law had position of per the courts paperwork, but my brother had given my mother power of attorney to take the two vehicles which my mother had registered in her name through the DMV. Per Mr. Gutierrez, he told my mother to give him a blank check with the amount filled and the court would fill the check in with their stamp courts name. This amount was paid on 9/23/19 in the amount of $680. She asked for a receipt, but he could not provide one. Her 2nd payment of $280 on 10/19, no receipts. Mr. Gutierrez's secretary then called my mother on 10/19 she is not sure of the date, but it was in October 2019 that another payment of $780 was needed but was not given a reason why. She was given a photo copy of her payment with his signature the blank paper as proof of a receipt! My mother stated she needed a receipt again and non was provided AGAIN! My mother stated she needed copies of the appeal and Mr. Gutierrez to this day has given every excuse for a reason not to provide a copy of the court appeal. Mr. Gutierrez again called my mother and wanted more money but this time my mother say no! She informed Mr. Gutierrez he has no proof of doing anything for her and he is just taking advantage of her
