Review: Two years ago I gave money towards a wedding dress, about 2500.00 They say their having problems with the manufacturer, The train is the first problem, agreed no train. Now the manufacturer is slow. Today I find out the store in Merrick is closing. I would like my money returned. I even offered to take the sample dress, I was told they do not have it anymore. Then the saleslady said she would bring the dress to her home and I can pick the dress up there. They are closing in a week and once that happens my money and dress are gone. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

I QUESTION THE TWO SIZE BIGGER BEING THE ONE SHE TRIED ON WAS EXACTLY WHAT MY DAUGHTER WANTED. THE SALES PERSON TOLD ME LET THEM DO THEIR JOB. I ENDED UP SWITCHING TO THE SAMPLE DRESS ON THE RACK. THE SECOND DRESS FOR MY DAUGHTER [redacted]. THEY ALSO ORDERED TWO SIZES BIGGER I QUESTION THE SAME THING WHY SO BIG. THEY RESPONDED THE SAME THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. ON THE FIRST FITTING 4/**/14 THE SEAMSTRESS GOLDEN PINNED THE DRESS AND I ASKED HER IF THE DRESS WAS GOING TO LOOK THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL DRESS ONCE SHE WAS DONE WITH THE ALTERATIONS. ALL THE ISSUES CONCERNING ME WE DISSCUSSED. 1. THE SIDE ZIPPER2. THE CUP SIZE ON THE DRESS (A LOT BIGGER)3. THE DRESS BEING CORRECT IN THE CENTER BEING SHE WAS GOING TO TAKE IN MORE TO THE ZIPPER SIDE. 4. THE LINNING ON THE DRESS5. THE BEATTING ON THE DRESSON FRIDAY 4/**/14 AT 2:30 PM THEY ASKED US TO COME BACK IN ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR. THE SEEMSTRESS WAS RUNNING EXTREMELY LATE OR WE CAN RETURN ANOTHER DAY. WE RETURNED ON 4/**/14. ONCE WE ARRIVED THE SEAMSTRESS WAS NOT COMPLETELY READY SHE HAD TO FINISH. MY DAUGHTER TRIED ON THE DRESS WITH THE FINAL ALTERATIONS AND THE DRESS DID NOT FIT PROPERLY. THE SEAMSTRESS OFFERED TO REMOVE THE CUP SIZE HOWEVER SHE TOLD US SHE ALREADY DID AND IT DIDN'T LOOK GOOD. I THINK SHE WAS ONE OF THE [redacted] WHO SAID IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY, THEN I WILL REFUND ALL YOUR MONEY BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING MORE TO DO. MY DAUGHTER WAS CRYING VERY EMOTIONAL IN WHILE IN THE STORE I TOLD THEM JUST REFUND THE MONEY I WILL GO PURCHASE IT ELSEWHERE. Review: I purchased my wedding gown from Nouveau Bride almost three years ago. The dress was delivered three months later than the date of my originally scheduled wedding. Furthermore, when I purchased the gown, it was sold to me under the premise it would be a couture gown made specifically to my measurements, thus needing very little if any alterations. When I received the gown it was not the correct size (my measurements had not changed). Upon bringing the gown back to the store for alterations, I was charged a cap of $550.00 on alterations (which was required to be paid in cash). I had 7 fittings with them over the span of two and a half months, during which their seamstress made many contradicting statements about what work she had done to the dress. Ultimately, I picked my dress up the day before my wedding and tried it on at home, only to find out to my dismay the seams of the dress were not properly opened and pressed. Hours before my wedding I had to bring my dress to another seamstress to ensure that this was accomplished, missing an hour of my rehearsal dinner which is a party I also had paid for. Upon contacting the owner of the salon [redacted] she denied any wrongdoing, until I sent photos and videos of my seamstress opening and pressing the seams which is an extremely basic expectation upon delivery of a wedding gown.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a refund of the $550.00 I paid for alterations. In the first place no such alterations should have been necessary, furthermore the inconvenience of having to miss an hour of a party I had paid for in order to rectify their negligent delivery of the dress, having to bring the dress to a different seamstress hours before my wedding, and having to be present for 7 dress fittings which took approximately one and a half hours each only to have the dress be delivered in unacceptable conditions makes be believe that the alteration service I had paid for was not rendered. I have contacted the owner via email numerous times to no avail.
