Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowJames C**, CEO of NOVA, is not accepting any responsibility for incomplete and substandard work To make matters worse, James does not respond reliability to phone calls or emails Attached is a timeline of events, including correspondence with James and other professionals related to this claim
In summary, this has been an ongoing problem and remains unresolved despite the health hazard that exists because of continued mold growth
Problem #1: NOVA did not correctly assess the problem with mold in the crawl space
The initial problem began when NOVA employees attributed the mold problem to a broken sewage pipe At this time, the cost of the estimate increased dramatically to include protective gear for hazardous materials I hired a plumber to evaluate the problem He reported that there was no sewage leakage or broken drain To be safe, I asked the plumber to re-route the plumbing from under the house to prevent future damage and install a sump pump under the house
Problem #2: NOVA did not complete the mold remediation on two occasions as indicated by a positive result on mold sampling testsNOVA did not adequately treat the crawl space I have paid approximately $in mold testing fees and consultation After the first mold test yielded positive results, I hired the certified industrial hygienist to consult with NOVA The subsequent mold test indicated that the mold count was worse than before
Problem #3: James C** and NOVA employees are unresponsive and unreliableJames C** has not responded to emails and phone calls I have sent numerous emails attempting to coordinate dates/times for NOVA to complete the job To date, no one has confirmed datesProblem #4: Mold continues to grow in my crawl space due to incompetent work by NOVAI am now in the process of obtaining estimates to complete the job, which is the basis for requesting a refund from NOVA I have had two evaluations by separate mold companies that indicate that the previous company (i.e., NOVA) did a poor job -- insulation was full of mold {*** ***, the industrial hygienist does not believe it was replaced} and crawl space not graded One estimate was for $17,to completely redo the work by NOVA The second estimate is for $to complete the remediation I have two more estimates expected todayI have documentation of all my correspondence, mold reports, payments made, and estimates
I agree that I have not made the final $payment to NOVA This was communicated to James C** and the Title company who held the final payment in escrow in mid-June (see attachment) that final payment would be made when a clean mold sample was gleaned
Because of the expense I have to incur to complete this job, I request a full refund of $11,I understand from the *** *** ** *** *** (an organization that accredits mold remediation professionals) that NOVA is not certified with them I am planning to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office if we are unable to resolve this issue

Revdex.com spoke with James from the business regarding this caseAt the time the customer had a mold inspection done the system that was being installed to remedy the work had not been installed fully and allowed to work as it shouldDue to the time she brought someone else into the home to do this test
there would still be mold to show, however, the business’s warranty agreement is that once the system has completed the remedy and final payment has been made the customer then is to have a mold inspection doneThat is because if there is any mold found at that time it is covered under the agreed upon warranty and the business will work with the mold inspector to complete the processThis customer is in breach of that contract for having this done before the job was completed and for not paying the final bill as agreed upon at the beginning of the job

Review: [redacted] of Prestige Pointe Group, LLC. did not complete services per scope of work that was agreed upon for my kitchen renovation project. Not only was the work incomplete, the quality of work was poor. The new drywall installed had curves throughout and the drywall was never sanded and the cuts were improperly done. The granite back-splash installed was not even and had missing tiles and grout throughout. The porcelain tile floor installed had missing grout and cracking grout throughout. There was missing quarter-round shoe molding throughout the entire kitchen. The paint job was incomplete as there was several missing areas throughout. The grout was improperly mixed and caused more issues after installation. The adhesive for the threshold was the wrong adhesive and caused damage to the threshold and the pieces were cracking and came right off. The project was left unclean and there was dust and debris all over the home. Materials and trash was left on site without removal to include drywall. The job was rushed even though I advised that time was not an issue as long as quality was there. [redacted] brought his minor aged son to work in the dust and debris on 09/14/14. I gave [redacted] payment in the amount of $1,300 in a check on 09/17/14 and he promised that he was going to complete the work on 09/20/14 and that I was going to be 100% completely satisfied. I contacted him on 09/19/14 to inquire as to what time he would be arriving on 09/20/14 so I could schedule to be available and he ignore all of my phone calls and text messages. He did not show up on 09/20/14 and has ignored all of my phone calls and text messages and rob me of my money when he failed to complete his work.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the amount I paid [redacted] of Prestige Pointe Group, LLC. in the amount of $1,300 for services not completed and breach of contract. I had to hire a contractor to not only complete his work but to repair all of the work he did due to the poor quality received.
