materialTheir choice in stone changed to a paver material thus changing the scope of work that was contractedI told them that I would do my best to accommodate the change in material and design but that it would take some time to do soThey agreed to give us the time to do our due diligence and find the type of material they preferred which differed from the originally contracted materialsDuring our search for the new materials, the ***'s took it upon themselves to announce that they were canceling the contract due to what they felt was a breach of contractWe explained to them that in fact they are in breach of contract by trying to cancel the contract without due process and changing the materials without a change orderOur office suggested that we enter into a mutual termination agreementDuring that time, while we worked to agree on the details and process the refund.Our office has many hours invested into this project in trying to give the ***'s the patio they desired as well as material costs that our company had to absorbOur expenses total over the $2,that the *** claim we owe themThroughout this situation I explained to *** *** of the time and materials we already have invested in the projectThis information did not concern *** *** until one day when I received a phone call from herShe explained that she had thought over the whole situation, had had discussions with some people at her church and decided that she would only ask for $1,dollars back form the original $2,depositIt was at that point I handed the matter over to our accounting department to process the $1,500 creditI had no idea that the payment hadn't been paid until I received your letter from the Revdex.comHad they just called us and explained that they did not receive the payment I would have authorized a check and fulfilled our verbal agreement to settle the matter for $1,500.
