Review: I elected to discontinue security services with NOW Security after poor customer service. I am not under contract with them. I had been a customer of NOW Security for 16 years. I had received a mailing about upgrading to [redacted], their wireless system. I made an appointment for technician to come out upgrade system for October 5, 2014. The technician never showed. I called the office the same day, after 2 attempts I was finally able to speak with someone. She at first giggled and then stated it was her fault. I advised her that this concerned me as I had called in advance of the scheduled date to confirm date. She was not helpful in discussing my concerns and states she was just an employee and tha I could speak to her boss. I declined at that time as I had to go to work. I called on October 8, 2014 to speak with the owner [redacted]. He was not available so I left a message for him to call back. To this date he has not returned my call. Given the poor response I opted for another security provider and no longer want to business wiht NOW. I put my request in writing (letter dated and mailed October 26, 2014) to discontinue service and to be be refunded the 2 months that were paid in advance (November and December).

On November 7, 2014, I placed a call to NOW Security to verify that they received the letter and to check status of my refund. I was advised that they had receive my request to terminate services and that it would take up to 30 days as they had to investigate. My issues and concerns with this response are: 1) I am not under contract with them; 2) their investigation of their employee behavior/work has nothing to do with my being refunded and 3) After more than 30 days of delaing with poor customer service noone has reached out either by calling or letter to address my concerns.

I believe I have a right to terminate my services and receive the refund as I requested.

Review: I had an alarm system company come to my business . they took a 250 .00 dollar deposit and they written up an agreement that says I have radio monitoring , My wife had already signed a contract with another alarm company prior to this , what I found out is they never installed a radio monitoring devise like it says on my contract , and they connected the alarm to a phone line instead , the services I paid for I did not receive , in fact I have been a victim of fraud and lies by this company , I want to cancel my contract and receive my money back as they made me a victim of fraud .Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the money I spent , and I want to cancel my contract with them as I have been a victim of fraud ,

Review: Once the security system was put in, when there were problems, phone calls, emails, & personally going to the business were not returned. We paid for a 16 channel [redacted], then paid for a 8 channel [redacted] because we were told it might be gone. We requested the 16 channel to be returned & when we did get it back the [redacted] was a empty shell. When they did come out to fix a problem it was always cheaply done. After several attempts on gate problems, we ended up correcting these issues ourselves. When they would come out, they usually would not finish the job, say they are coming back & not show. The program([redacted]) did not run correctly for what we needed. Finally, when we had to get another vendor because of a faulty part, we found out NOW Security installed an old system.Desired Settlement: We are seeking a refund of at least half the money paid, so we can get the job done correctly.

Review: I pre-paid $76.09 on Dec. 30, 2013 for residential security service at [redacted]. This payment covered the period of January 1, 2014 thru March 31, 2014. Service was cancelled a few weeks before the closing date of January 31 on the sale of my house. Numerous phone calls were made to NOW Security Systems seeking a two-month rebate. No call-back was ever received. I wrote to [redacted], the owner/manager, on April 1, 2014 seeking the rebate....again no response.Desired Settlement: A two-month refund of $47.70, plus tax.

Review: I submitted a cancellation request to NOW Security in August. I received a notification that they cannot cancel my service because my signed agreement indicates my contract renews for one year. In Connecticut, it is illegal to automatically renew contracts for one year. They can only renew for one month. I have paid for service through October and NOW Security is telling me that I owe them $89.30 to pay for the remainder of the annual coverage through 2/6/15. This amount should not be due and technically they owe me a refund as I have paid through October and requested cancellation in August. They are not allowed to automatically renew my coverage for further than one month into the future.Desired Settlement: I would like NOW Security to refund me the remainder of my prepayment minus ONE MONTH of service based on an auto-renew and to clear the balance that they say is due for the ANNUAL contract, which was illegally auto-renewed.
