your inquiry dated August 10, 2016, which was received by our office.On July 22, 2016, the insured reported a claim directly to the insurance company. The insured stated after talking to the insurance company that the agency made an error and that the policy needed to be reformed.Our agency provided the documentation, the applicable quote and signed application to the insurance company for review. The insurance company determined that insureds policy did not carry rental coverage.More Specifically, on August 12, 2014, the Named insured contacted the agency to change the address on the policy (XXXXXXXXXX) from an Oregon address to a Washington address. At the time the policy change was made the Rental Car Coverage (LOU) was deleted as well as changes to Personal Injury Protection. (Copy of change confirmation attached).On November 30, 2015, the policy in question was cancelled and a new policy was rewritten to a Washington Policy (XXXXXXXXXXX) matching the coverages from the August 12, 2014 change. The insured accepted the quote, signed the application and a new policy was put in force. (see attached application and issued declarations page.)In closing, we maintain that insureds policy does not carry LOU and have offered to place the coverage onto her policy for future incidents, we have not received any response to date. If you have any additional questions or information, please contact our office.
