Hello, we are very sorry for the confusion I am sure this couple does not understand that in real estate we have to present all offers for rent or for sale to the owner for their decision All parties in sales or rentals are given the chance to change their offer; whether it be a different price, length of lease, etc They can keep their offer the same or change it depending on their personal desires At that point it is up to the owner to make the decisido not own this house In this case the owner chose another lease offer It is our standard policy and that of the industry to inactivate the property once the lease is signed and the deposit paid The lease was signed yesterday The deposit is pending If for some reason the deposit does not go through, this couple (or anyone else) will have the opportunity to lease this homeWe expect the deposit to clear in the next day or so and the adverting will be de-activated In the meantime, if we have calls, we advise the caller that there is a pending lease and to check back in a few days to see if the home is off market or the offer has fallen through It does take a few days for the syndicated advertising (like [redacted] , [redacted] , etc) to drop it on their end Again, I am very sorry they are confused about the process Had they just asked us, we would have been happy to explain the problem and show documentation of the process We are a reputable company that has been in business for years and do not operate illegally Respectfully, [redacted]
