This information is not accurateI did cancel the subscriptionAlso the letter I got saying I owed money even after cancelling matched the exact numbers of another complaint listed with Revdex.comShame on you for trying to take advantage of the elderlyRegards, [redacted]
Dear Ms*** Please accept our sincere condolences in regards to your motherIf a letter for a due payment was issued, please disregard itIn some cases, if we are unable to reach the customer by telephone to discuss the matter of the account, a letter is issued with the summary of the
account and payment options to continue or discontinueWe will close any balances owed under you and/or your mothers name and cease the shipments of magazines as wellWe hope this resolves the situation. Thank you
Yes this does rectify the matter I do understand not asking the date of birth of the consumer however, I would hope some training would be done to detect when a consumer may not quite understand I can almost guarantee she said I cannot hear you or I do not understand what you want or need and would have definitely became flustered when asked for a check or credit card She cannot even go to a store alone because she becomes confused on how she has to pay for her things, she cannot do her bills herself I do appreciate you contacting me and for taking care of the situation as quickly as you could Thank you
Hi, We did look into Mrs*** account and it seems the amount she had understood is incorrectThe total here in question of $1038,was the total amount of the long term service that we had already cancelledThe payment due was for $329,for the balance that was due on her account
prior to cancellation, reason being her monthly payments were not submittedIn this case , is she does not want to pay the balance then we will cease the shipments of the magazines and close the account at no cost
We received an open complaint in regards to [redacted]'s magazine subscriptions. First and foremost I would like to mention that I have taken an in depth look at her account and noticed that she had indeed cancelled the account in June this past year. Therefor the letter received by her was in...
fact not intended for her. I do thank you for pointing that out. We do have a system in place that creates invoices for past due, delinquent or accounts to be paid for. In this case the agent may have not noticed the notes on her file stating that her account was already closed and no action was required. We do apologize for that. On another note, our sales agents aren't particularly trained to ask the date of birth of potential clients since it may create discomfort but nevertheless we do not have the intention of selling to senior citizens since it has proved to be either unethical or not proper sales practice. Once it is brought to our attention that a client is over the age of 65 and a family member of legal guardian requests cancellation, we do so without hesitation. Again , I do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. On to the matter of the customer service response system. We're currently preparing to hire new agents to serve the customer service line in real time. However all calls are registered and saved for an agent to return the call within 2-3 working days at the most. I hope this resolves the issue. Please keep in mind that I will bring this matter to the other agents to be more caution is taking a look at notes that are left on customers accounts. Thank youSincerely NPR billing department
