NR Investments

Hello I contacted the collections company National Credit systems May XX XXXX about a collections account created in 2018, I was told they have documents dated 2017 showing a leasing agreement was and broken with Lakeview Point Apartment previously owned by NRI Investments in September of 2017 which caused the account to go into collections for $2,652.00.
I explained the lease was not renewed past March of 2016 and the collections company said they need to dispute the account with NRI Investments because the file states otherwise. On the same day I contacted NRI Investments *** multiple times via phone and email from May 29th up until 06/10/2019 and finally got a hold of her and she advised after speaking with the attorney there that they have no documents of a lease being resigned past 2017 to support the claims that where was sent to collections in 2018. They are using a clause from the 2015 lease that states lease agreement would continue on a month to month basis until cancelled.
I explained to Natalie the standard procedures for renewing any apartment lease which is within 60 days of a lease expiring both a yearly renewal and a month to month lease would still need to be singed off for by the tenants and documented with the leasing office.
In conclusion, they still deny and false claims on their end and the lease was on a month to month contract from 03/XXXX - XX/2017
Furthermore, I requested they provided dated and detailed information and documents for the reason why they are requesting $2,652.00 I'm still waiting on this information
On 06/10/19 I spoke with the collections company to share with them the information since they are working on gathering this as well. I was advised they requested the information on 06/05/19 and have not gotten a response from them and need to wait on them to respond to resolve this matter.
