NRG Clean Power Reviews (%countItem)

We used them to install solar system in 2019 and they did an excellent job. They had the best price when we were shopping and they offered us the best panels with the most power. I am glad we chose them and we thank them every month when we get our electricity bill.

Thank you so much for the review. It means so much to us.

All the best,

Solar Installations: late/incomplete; not at optimal location; panel shattered during; crack in ceiling; hole left in wall; trash left, more issues!
NRG has not met its obligations. They have left us with an incomplete job along with other issues.

The panels installation is late and incomplete.

The installation team left holes in our walls where rodents can get in, for over a week now. And they have not scheduled completion yet. This needs fixing ASAP.

One of the panels shattered during installation. Installation lead said they will fix it. No follow up.

The location of the panels are not optimal, too close to chimney to maximize output. We need them located probably when they come back to complete installation.

We discovered a crack in the ceiling right under where panels have been installed. We need them to handle this at the earliest.

They left lots of trash around the house, including nails and other objects in our yard. One of our kids tripped on this while playing in yard and my wife was not happy.

They dropped their stereo from the roof and broke some lamps. This could have landed on one of our heads, or the kids. They said the will fix the lamps.

Please let us know how you can help us resolve this or if we need to consider some sort of legal action to get this taken care of in a timely manner.

Godspeed

Desired Outcome

We'd like the job to done right and completed in a timely manner. Move panels to optimal location. Replace shattered panel. Fix holes in our wall. Investigate and fix crack in ceiling. Schedule completion and finish the job. Do a proper clean up. Compensate us for time delays and dealing with these issues. Regards

We have been in contact with the customer regarding his concerns.
We have resolved most of his concerns and are working on finishing the installation.

Per the customer:
Installer did come, he patched up the walls from outside, also patched small holes from inside. He explained that the crack in our roof is not from the solar installation.

He didn't know that we needed to replace sub electrical panel, but confirmed it will be done. He also confirmed that the shattered module will be replaced, and they will move the 2 modules close to the chimney to the other side of modules formation.

He was very professional, even apologized. I showed him the nail/bolt our kid tried on, and told him we don't have to worry about replacing the broken trail light. If we can just complete the installation at the earliest, our family would much appreciate it.

The project is still incomplete, here is an excerpt from email communications:

"Yes, I think when it came down to it there was a lot of information, and I think it was just a misunderstanding with the crew and our team in the office.
I apologize for any inconvenience and hope that we can end this off on a good note. thank you for your patience and I will be in touch with you to let you know when we will be back out to finalize the sub panel.
Thank you"

When I asked about the shattered moduel and relocating the other 2 modules I got this:

"Yes I understand, how about we do this..
I can't move your modules until you receive your final inspection because you will not meet the set back requirements and they will not allow you to place it in the location that you are requesting

What we can do is just swap out the module during the time that we move around the modules if that works for you.

I do appreciate your patience in this matter and im working really hard to make sure we end this on a good note and with a positive experience."

I responded by asking for everything to be done up to code before the PG&E inspection. I'd like to keep this case open until they complete the project or at least until they schedule the completion of the project.

Regards

Document Attached***
Hi there -

We have reached out to *** to resolve the issues (please see the attached) and and agreed to a credit. We then sent a resolution letter offering the credit however *** refused the credit (see attached email response).

We are not sure what else we can do to keep our customer happy. We work very hard at customer satisfaction always with our customers.

Thank you

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We would have been ok with this resolution even though it is no where near our expectations after what we experienced with NRG. However, we were asked to sign a doc that would essentially give up our future rights about potential other issues which may arise. We'd rather share our experience to help others. This will all be fact based with documentation to support it. May we write our experience here on Revdex.com site?

Regards

Poor business practice
I met with ***, Regional Manager for NRG 3 times for replacement of my roof. A roofer was not brought in to check, rather he himself assumed the condition of the roof. At the final visit we both agreed to the price which I could afford, and he agreed. We signed the contract allowing on October 30, 2018, allowing 3 day option to cancel, which I did not. The job was to start on Monday, November 5, 2018. On Friday Nov. 2, 2018 their roofer came for the first time to check and take measurements of the roof and told me he will be here on Monday, November 5,2018 at 8 AM and asked to leave my driveway and neighbor's driveway open and accessible to start the job.
On Monday, nobody showed up. Waited till 9:30 AM and I called the office inquiring about the delay and that is when *** advised me that the roofer needs a lot more money to do the job and that he is going to look for another roofer who can do the job cheaper. Professionally, one would expect him to keep me posted, offer me a compromise and provide customer service knowing how far we have come with this agreement. Instead I had to call every day, leave messages and finally be told me flat out they cant do the job with the price agreed. He tried to blame me for not letting him know what kind of roof I had underneath the shingles, and I find this an extremely unprofessional. I am a widowed Senior Citizen, it was his job to bring a roofer first, get the real knowledge of what he was negotiating and then agree or disagree, regardless of what I can afford. Very poor business practice.

Desired Outcome

It would have been appropriate and professional for ***, as the Regional Manager to have met me again, accepting the fact that he made an error in agreeing with the price before bringing a professional to check the roof. Perhaps he could have offered me different shingles, instead he acted defensively. I will not recommend this business at all. Seniors or otherwise should not be treated this way.

Good afternoon ***,

Please accept this email as a direct response in regards to the Complaint filed by the above noted customer and Case#.

The client initially had issues, however, our VP immediately met up with her and gave a solution that she agreed upon and so this issue has been resolved. The case was never re-opened by the customer. Please feel free to contact the customer directly to clarify.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They accepted responsibility for my complaint and have cooperated, however due to bad weather and heavy rain it wasn't possible to do the job. I would like to put my final comment once the job is done.

It is being scheduled for the next couple of weeks.
Since the job is not done yet and I would like this case to stay open, that is why I had to answer No, otherwise they are cooperating.
Thank you

NRG Clean Power Response • Apr 08, 2019

We are working on it but I would like to make my final comment once the job is done and finished. Due to weather conditions it has been delayed but hope to do it very soon and I will gladly give my final response.
Thank you

It was a little confusing for me to respond to the earlier email.
NRG is fully cooperating and hope to get the job done in a couple of weeks. You can consider case closed.
