Review: Back in July, I had taken my car in to be looked at because I was just getting married and my husband and I were planning to drive to [redacted] on our honeymoon. I was having tires looked at to plug a leak. Once I went to pick up my car the guys working there were really nice and took some of the fees off. I thanked them because my husband and I didn't have a ton of money for our honeymoon and I felt that this was a very nice gesture. The guys working cautioned me that they would not drive to [redacted] on our exisiting tires althought they had patched them. That should have been a red flag, but I excused it as the company being nice to a newly wed and looking out for my best interest. My husband and I checked out how the car was driving and decided to take the car anyway because we felt the tires were okay and that they were not bald. Prior to taking our vehicle into [redacted] my husband had changed the oil and everything was good to go. We were ready to head out. When I finally went to get into the passanger side of the car I noticed that my car had visible damage above the door on the frame of the car. At this point we had a time constraint with the honeymoon and I decided just to wait and follow up with it when we got back. In addition, once we got back from the trip we realized that the dipstick tube for my oil had been broken off at the base of the engine. I am 100% positive that this damage was done by [redacted]. I am highly disappointed that a company would damage a vehicle and then pretend that it never happened. In hindsight, this is exactly why the guys working acted like they did me a favor by discounting my price and cautioning me not to take this vehicle on a far trip. This is also why when discounting the price the guys told me not to make a big deal of it when I arrived and got rung up. My car is a 2009 and I have been making $290 monthly payments on it over the past few years. It is very upsetting that a bunch of young guys that don't understand the value of hard work could be so reckless and careless when destroying others propery.Desired Settlement: My husband and I already ordered the dip stick tube and replaced it. I would like your company to cover the cost of the repair on my passanger door which are 500.00.

Nello Tire takes great pride in giving our customers the highest quality of service and I have been employed at Nello Tire for 38 years and I must say, I'm somewhat confused by this complaint. We only billed this customer for a State Inspection and Emissions Inspection. We did not bill to repair any tires or did we do anything with the oil change to this vehicle. The broken dipstick tube would not have happened here as it has no bearing on either services we provided. As for the damage to the body of the vehicle, if this indeed happened when we serviced the vehicle and the customer would have reported it the day of or within a reasonable time frame, we could have played back a serveilance tape to see how or what may have happened. 8 months later there isn't must I can do to be fair to this company or [redacted]. We will not be making any financial compensation to her for the damage because we don't feel that we are responsible for it.

Had this claim been submitted in a reasonable amount of time, we could have played video back to see if indeed any of this damage was done here. All businesses are required by law to carry insurance for these types of claims but 8.5 months is a long time for something like this to be brought up.
