This business needs shut down! SCAM!!!
Wow. Sooo much to say! This company is by far the WORST rental car company I have ever dealt with! I know renting a car can be a pain, but this place takes the cake! This business is such a scam! And FYI- they go by multiple business names! We booked this company through Expedia and it was under a completely different name. Probably so people wouldn't be linked to all The terrible reviews trying to steer people away from this business! They refused all 4 of our (full coverage) insurance companies, wouldn't accept our American Express card for payment or for collision insurance. Wanted to charge us double the going rate for tolls! Completely rude, spoke very little English. Lost $450 that we prepaid because they wouldn't give us our rental cars without signing a contract to pay the equivalent of 400% what the online agreement was. That's their deal- bait you with a cheap prepay price through a third party, then force you to pay a ridiculous charge or you don't get a car. ( Luckily we walked down the road and the guys at carwiz helped us out! More than fair, and we were in and out of there from start to finish in 30 min.) After wasting 2 hours and over $400 dollars at nextcar. Please do yourself a favor and avoid these people and this company like the plague. Don't let them ruin your trip- they'll try their hardest!

I reserved and prepaid for a car rental back on Sept18,for the 30th, 31st of Oct and Nov As it turns out I am not able to make this trip and I called on Oct11,to cancel my reservation [redacted] said that there would be NO REFUND that she would issue me a coupon that would be good for ear Well I wont be going to Vegas (was only going for a wedding) and I have a new car and no need for a rentalI could understand if they were losing the rental fee but they have adequate time to re rent this automobile They have no loss of revenue hereI would have happily paid any loss they had incurred if I had cancelled the day before but they have weeks I think that is simply greedy

I rented a car through Expedia from Nu Car Rental Company The prepaid amount was supposed to be $with the rental being from October 14- October 21, When we got to vegas and at car rental company, I told the young lady behind the counter who I was and she found my reservation OCtober -Saturday to Saturday I advised her I needed to add an extra driver and she advised me I would be charges $for the additional driver when the car was returned (that's for days) Ok no probelm I get a phone call on Friday October telling me the car was supposed to be turned in on the 19thI argued with Jessica about this and told her the car wasn't due back until the 21st She said no the contract you sign was just through the 19thI admit I did not read the dates because I assumed she had typed the contract as it was discussed I have been overcharged by (145.14) for one day rental which should have been $28.21; $dollars for hours and $in a late f

I rented a car with a month in advance but when I went to the indicated company to pick it up, they let me know I couldn´t use it out of the state, so I had to cancel it and request a refund, however there is been a month and I haven´t got my refund and every time I call nobody answers instead they have a voice mail for nothing because they have never called me backI have only been able to talk to someone twiceAfter several phone calls I reached someone who took my request and gave me a number ( [redacted] ) then after several phone calls again I could reach another one who told me the refund is still pendingSo far, I keep calling and sending emails with no responds and no money back The confirmation number for the reservation was [redacted] I paid on April 29th

This is to confirm that the customer's prepaid reservation has been refunded as of 8/1/17, an email was sent to the customer confirming the refund and we also contacted them on the phone but there was no answer so we left a voicemail advising about the release of the refundIt may take up to business for the refund transaction to reflect on the customer's account, this is based upon the customer's bank's policy and the type of card usedThere has been a delay in processing our refunds in general because of a recent change in our research and issuance procedures, we do apologize for the inconvenienceAs always, we at NÜ Car appreciate the customer's business and hope you will give us another chance someday in your future travels

This car rental company is really disgustingOther than hidden feesThey also charge you damage money even the car is returned with good conditionAnd the cars are really oldMore than milesAvoid this company, you will pay much more than you think you can save

I've made a reservation with "nucarrentals" for December 21, through Expedia onlineAt the time of reservation there was no statements by "nucarrentals" to charge my credit card prior to picking up the automobile or there was no mention of non-refundable funds which they took without my permissionToday I tried to cancel the reservation and they are claiming the booking is non-refundableI checked my credit card and saw they already charged me $for a service I'd never received

Me and my wife reserved a car on Expedia at this company, and then we had to change it due to changing dates on when we were leaving. I called Expedia and they said it would be cancelled and a refund will be issued within 24-48 hrs.. They called back and said it was impossible to get a refund for the rental.. So I called and talk to someone at a branch and he said that it is paid for but if I dont pick it up the day I reserved it for that I would get a refund but he wanted me to call customer service to tell them.. I been trying to call customer service the past 3 weeks and I been leaving voicemails after voicemail, with everything they ask but still no one calls me back.. all I want is to cancel my reservation so I am not out all the money

Can't believe this company is even allowed to operate legallyBeyond the very dingy office and the fact that it took minutes to be picked up by the airport shuttle van, the main issue I had was one of safetyWhen we finally got our car it was very dirty insideThe back seat's seatbelt had been cut and when I showed the guy he just shoved it under the seat and said it was "fixed"When I turned the car on the Check Engine light was on When I showed the guy he said that the car was in fine shape, but the sensor was not workingI should have not taken the car but wanted to get out of there so badly that we drove offOnce I got on the highway I lost all acceleration and the car's battery/check oil lights turned onI was able to pull to the side of the road, turn the car on/off and got it started againAt that point we decided to return the car and headed backOn the way the same thing happened two more timesThen, the last time, not only did the acceleration stop but the brake stopped working as wellSo, no gas and no brakesI was able to coast to the side of the road and stopped by using the parking brake which, thankfully and surprisingly, workedWe were simply lucky not to have been in a wreckThe guy picked up the car and showed no sympathy at all until my friend mentioned that her husband is a lawyer and we wanted in writing that we'd get a full refundI also got a very poorly written "apology" email saying they'd put new systems in place to avoid this in the future (not that I believe them.) Umm...did it really take this for them to decide not to put unworkable/unsafe cars on the road?

Tried to rent a car on 7/6/from this Nu rental car company for $weekly rateGave them my credit card and they submitted for payment..........but I needed to have $deposit on that card and didn'tSo, I asked them to cancel the transaction and they did I thought I have been calling and calling for my refundAs of today I still haven't received my refundIt's one of the company that have partnership with [redacted] online and they charge u $for insurance that u have not sign up forThe two companies r a scam for your money and hold it on a refund for days or longerPlease investigateI need help in get my refund and have been very patience

Zero stars! Total scam Avoid NU at all cost Their rates seem good but your reservation means nothing to them We arrived at AP and learned they were out of cars Apparently, they gave away our reservation! Avoid Travelocity too! I rented a car from Nu Car Rental because it was the cheapest option I found on Kayak.com at the timeI only needed it to drive to Arizona from Las Vegas airport to go on a backpacking tripSo for days, it would only be used for about 8-hours (the time to drive from Nevada to Arizona and back)The rest of the time it would be parkedI booked it through their website for $When I landed in Las Vegas I had to call them for a shuttle to get to their offsite car rental lot since they did not have one at the airportWhen I arrived to pick up the car, the person behind the desk bombarded me with extra add-ons, features, and policiesI didn't want to need any of it I have my own car insurance and like I said the car was going to be parked for days so naturally I declined everythingThen they gave me a bunch of things to signThey also wanted to see the credit card I booked withWhen they swiped it, the card was declinedI had thought they had charged me when I booked

This company is a scamAt the Chicago location they have terrible, aggressive, dishonest customer serviceBad cars, shady policies about insurance, etcBut, why I can blatantly say this is a scam is because a month after I returned my car, they put a mysterious dollar charge on my credit cardI have all the paperwork saying we pre-paid in full, gas was full, no damages, etcI tried to call, and they literally lied to me--"Let me look into it and call you back in minutes." They're thieves, hoping you won't notice that they secretly tacked on another charge after you'd tried to forget your horrible experience with themI've already contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and won't be paying it

I rented a car through 3rd party Travelocity for unlimited mileage to go on a cross country trip with my wife Nu car rentals charged my credit card nearly $and keeps saying that it was a non cancel or refund booking, however, even though all my Travelocity emails & documentation clearly show my reservation for "UNLIMITED MILEAGE" & nothing about not being able to take the car out-of-state, when I spoke to Nu car rep before going to pick up car he said I couldn't take the car our of state, etc Travelocity is not willing to help me because Nu car rental charged the money, not them I've been on the phone for hours & hours & am given regurgitated teleprompter type answers over & over I'd like to move on with my life Do the right thing & refund my money or I'll be forced to file a deceptive practices/business fraud complaint with my State Attorney general & take the case to small claims court & leave negative reviews for NU in as many places as
