Nu Line Plumbing & Fire Protection Reviews (1)

Review: To Whom it May Concer,We signed a contract with Nu-line plumbing in early August of this year to perform a gas conversion project in our house. The contract required a deposit for $2,500 which we gave in a check form. The Nu-line company cashed our check but never came back to perform the project. We have reached out to them multiple times asking for a status but no one returned our calls. As such, we started to leave messages stating that wed like to cancel the project but still no one replied. The check was cashed by them on 8/*/13. We are asking for your help to get our $2,500 back. We have a signed copy of the contract available, as well as, a copy of the check issued.Regards,[redacted]Desired Settlement: We are asking for your help to get our $2,500 back.

Dear [redacted],

In response to compliant [redacted]

Nuline was in contract with [redacted] to do OIL to GAS Conversion, Nuline started this process with [redacted] back in May of 2013. Nuline was at [redacted] home for (2) occasions, 1st time Nuline was there was in May we went over complete job with the home owner and filed all paper work with National Grid Gas Company, so the home owner would be able to get gas service to his house. 2nd time Nuline went to the home was to finalize scope of work with [redacted] on August [redacted] 2013, Nuline required that [redacted] pay a $2,500.00 deposit for paper work filed with National Grid and all town permits that Nuline paid for already. Next step was scheduling with [redacted] for install, now take into mind that [redacted] is very upset that this process took so long and we understand that, but like we explained to him back in May we do not have control of municipality or Township on approving his permit or bringing the gas to the home. Once everything was ready to go we were demanded to start right away! Nuline could not meet that demand because other costumers paperwork was approved before his. So then, he did NOT like that and said he was going to get another contractor to do the job, so Nuline told [redacted] to provide Nuline with a release from for $1,800.00 because Nuline paid labor for paperwork filed and paid for town permits and [redacted] did not like the terms and here we are today….

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

We need to see the receipts for the $700 spent. These alleged fees are completely news to us. We spoke with our new plumber (who has already completed the job) and we were told that no such fees were incurred by him. Additionally, we know nothing of the $1800 release that was mentioned in the response. This is a blatant lie. We never received any letter on this matter nor does it matter because we demand the full refund. Our experience working with Nuline was comprised of lies and rudeness including threats from their end to cancel the job after we waited over 6 months for the job to take place. Our new plumbers were able to negotiate the contract and finish the job in less than a month. The gas line to our house was run back in July and when we notified Nuline that everything was ready to go, Nuline came to collect the $2500 deposit and we were barely able to get in touch with them again! When we called, no one answered. When we left messages, no one got back to us. The ONE time in the 3 month period when we were able to connect, we were threatened that they wanted to cancel the project because we were being too demanding. After 3 months of waiting, how can we be considered too demanding?! And we still hoped for the best until Sept rolled around and we got nervous about the upcoming winter months. In this time of waiting, we had already needed to order several costly deliveries of oil which should not have been needed if the gas conversion took place in a reasonably timely manner. We have never in our lives experienced such horrible customer service and we don't want anyone else to have to face the same.

Sincerely,

Consumer
