Review: My heatpump was frozen over in ice. I contacted Nu-Temp and it took three service visits before they could even diagnose the problem. The first service call was not the regular employee. I was told that [redacted] was sick. The staff later told me the first guy was inexperienced and had no idea what he was doing. [redacted] came a second time. He then said he had ordered the parts and would install the following week. The following week came and then I was told the parts were on back order but no calls were made to tell me of a delay. I was also told the owner personally was coming out at the second visit since it was serious and the owner neither called nor showed. Despite expressing my upset that the owner never called or showed I still to this day have not heard from the owner. After the part they thought was the problem was installed, there was no follow up. The unit froze over again. If it was not for the good grace of the President of the condo association, the entire unit could have and would have been destroyed both the first time I called and after it was fixed. Nu-Temp did not tell me to run it on Emergency Heat and the President of the condo association advised me of that as it can destroy the copper. In addition, after the second visit, I provided the condo president's name as a contact and he was never called until I repeatedly called to have them discuss the matter with him. The unit is still frozen over and a called was placed on Monday and as of today, Wednesday, no one has come out to fix it. I have incurred a bill of $ 750 for electric due to the running of emergency heat since it is not fixed and will likely incur the same again this month. My normal bill is $ 250. Had they been able to fix it the first time they came out none of this would have happened. I have found the promises for coming out not met, the parts being ordered, not timely ordered. I requested proof of the date it was ordered and they failed to respond. At this point, I want to take my three properties to someone competent who provides timely customer service and can fix the problem. The unit itself is only 2 and half years old. They put a new motor in the unit in September.Desired Settlement: I do not want to be charged for any work this month. I want an explanation on why this was handled so poorly, why I was lied to, why it has taken so long to figure this out and why I now have a bill of $ 750 to pay. I would let you fix it if you pay the amount of my electric bill over and above my normal rate and pay it for free, return my calls and give me answers. Short of that, I need to find someone competent to diagnose the problem in a timely manner.
