I contracted this company to refinish my deck and replace railings last summer. The job was to be finished last fall. It was 'completed' with two bare patches of wood left showing. The business didn't oversee employees throughout the process. When the oversights were photographed and shown to the business they offered to paint them. That was not satisfactory to me at all. Where decking comes off, decking should go back on. I wasn't paying for a paint job. It had to be left over the winter as I was away. This left siding exposed throughout the winter months. Upon my return in the spring I began again trying to get their attention to complete the job. I held 10% back. They did not offer this or want to agree to this. I set June 30/15 for the completion of the job. They did not agree to this or cooperate. I was left to do the chasing. Finally I asked for metal to cover the bare wood. This was applied after June 30/15. It's not that this company cannot do quality work, but the consumer will have to hold their feet to the fire and persist. All this delay means my siding was late being replaced. I'm still waiting for a painter to finish on the siding. Overall a negative experience for me. It's taken all the joy out of appreciating my new decking and railings. Even though I'd invited the owner of the business to come to my house to view the work that was done and not done, he never appeared. Warning to consumers: Insist on a 10% holdback. Take photos and inspect the work throughout because they won't! I've sent the last cheque today. I do not want to deal with these people ever again.
