The coat has been restored to its original conditionThe "mark" was actually an impression caused when clamping the coato onto the stream finishing form...Communication was not possible initially as we did not have the customer phone number or e-mailShe was a first-time customer. The coat may be picked up any time

Revdex.com: I received the check and yes I am satisfied with this I need to know when I can pick up my damaged jacket that I dropped off at the Westlake Village NU Way Cleaners on Oct #*** Is it at this or a different location? Thank you Regards, [redacted]

My apology, I thought I had responded earlier.Since this was a complaint over sewing, I asked my Alterations Department supervisor to write a response,Any question I am at [redacted] ***(Response by [redacted] ) In response to [redacted] letter, I (*** [redacted] -***) have been working for this company for eighteen years, I have altered hundreds of prom dresses and I have never ruined one, we let dresses out, we take them in all the time [redacted] states that she figured that her daughter could try the dress on at the time of pick up, she did pick up the dress at 5:34pm on April 9th, and had every opportunity to get her daughter to try the dress on, giving us plenty of time to fix any issues with the dress, at the time of pick up the afternoon seamstress was here till 6pm She states that it was altered in the wrong area and that the beads and sequins were missing from the neck line, the neck line was never touched during alterations If there were any missing, it was brought to us that way The dress was to be taken in at the sides, which is under the arms and did not go near the waistline, which it will show on the original sewing form along with the hem, we will attach a copy of the sewing form, from April 9th, On that Friday morning we did receive a call from [redacted] stating that the prom dress no longer fit her daughter, and that it was ruined, at that time she did also mention the missing beads and sequins and that she wanted a refund, she was informed that there would be no refund until we look at the dress and were given the opportunity to fix any issues she had with the dress I did state that any beads or sequins missing I would be glad to replace for her, but she kept saying that it was ruined, and that the previous night when her daughter tried the dress on and it did not fit, they went out and bought a new dress [redacted] then spoke to one of the CSR's asking what she should do and to have a manager call her, CSR did state that the best thing to do was to bring the dress in to take a look at it, at that time an appointment was made for Monday April 13th at 3:30pm, [redacted] never showed up, I waited here till 4:20pm, we never received a call from her either At the time that she spoke to the CSR she did mention about speaking to the manager, but since the appointment was made we didn't see the need to involve the other manager, though we did call her and let her know what was going on, and she said okay take care of it [redacted] came in with her daughter April 22, at 4:53pm, the daughter put the dress on it was able to zip up and it fit her perfectly according to the afternoon seamstress and the afternoon CSR, the CSR did witness the fitting, it looked perfect on the daughter At that time she never mentioned anything about the missing beads or sequins, along with anything about talking to the manager The last conversation what we did have with here was with the afternoon CSR when she called the week prior to her scheduled appointment time She wanted to know what was being done to her dress, CSR told her that we had been waiting to speak to her and get clarification on what she would like to have done, she was informed that the best thing to do would be for her to come in during the day and speak to the manager of the sewing department which is myself [redacted] asked who that was and CSR told her it was me, and that I was here Monday thru Friday from 7:30am to 3pm, she had already spoken to me before, but that it would be better to speak in person to make sure we know exactly what she would like done to the dress At this point CSR then set up and appointment at 9:30am May 6th 2015, CSR believes that she called on a Thursday to tell me that she just wanted me to undo what we had done to the dress which was to take the sides in, CSR let [redacted] know that she needed to come in to clarify it with myself, she said okay and that we would see her on Wednesday at 9:30am [redacted] came in on Wednesday May 6th at 10:29am to pick up the dress, the morning CSR asked her if she still wanted the repairs done and if she wanted to speak with myself she replied “NO” grabbed the dress and walked out In conclusion the dress is 100% wearable, but if the dress needs to be let out I would be very happy to do so, and put it back to its original unaltered state and repair any beads or sequins at a no charge, we bend over backwards to please customers even if that means staying late or even coming in early, which we have done numerous times***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I have picked up the coat and it is now in original condition Regards, [redacted] ***

Please ask the customer to return the coat to me and I will look at it againI reserve the right to have the coat analyzed at a laboratory (at my expense). To help in my decision making I would like to know how much the customer would accept as settlement

The coat is obviously worn out as you can easily see from the attached photo. The cuff-line is the most likely to show wear as it is a folded double-thickness of material. She just wants a new coat.We did nothing wrong. This is a ridiculous complaint

Complaint: ***
I am
rejecting this response because:
When I dropped my jacket off it did not show any signs of wear and it did not show any signs of wear on the cuff The picture Nu Way Cleaners provided is what it looked like when I picked it up from them The cuff looked nothing like this when I dropped it off This is only the 2nd time EVER this jacket was dry cleaned I have owned this coat for only a few years and I wear it for funerals no more than 1-times per year and an additional 2-times per year to my office job Other than that it sits in the back of my closet This is not extensive wear by any means and in no way could the cuff have rubbed up against my desk or steering wheel of my car, as Emily implied, enough to show this type of damage The picture does not show how large the tear is on the cuff, and even though you can see how worn the cuff is I insist it looked absolutely nothing like this when I dropped it off I have spoken with many other people over the last month who have had similar experiences with Nu Way and which Nu Way refused to resolve Unless a person takes photos of every inch of their item with a time stamp Nu Way cleaners will continue to get away with their general practices Without a time stamped and a signature by a Nu Way employee of the exact time the item was dropped off there is no way to prove the damage was caused by Nu Way And they know this Nu Way plays the game of 'he said, she said' and even though I told Emily over and over and over that my jacket did not look like this when I dropped it off she said they (Nu Way) did not cause the damage This was her continued response and only response This is unacceptable and unfortunate that other than taking Nu Way to small claims court there is nothing I can do This is still an option I may pursue

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting
this response because: Unfortunately
there are many inaccuracies and lies in the response from *** at Nu-Way
CleanersI have no reason to lie about any of this or fabricate anythingThe staff members that I
personally dealt with at Nu-Way Cleaners know exactly what
happened. I simply needed to take it to what I thought was a
professional to get it altered. I paid for the alterations trusting
that it had been done as we discussedI did nothing wrong here other than
trusting this seamstress with the dressMy daughter was so excited to wear
that dress and was devastated when we got it home and it didn't fit, and it was
damaged at the neckline This is not so much about the money, but about the
way I was treated and the way *** conducted herselfI have never been treated
so poorly from a "professional" or a company beforeI am saddened
and disgusted with this whole situation and cannot understand
why I had to pay for a dress that was altered incorrectly, damaged,
and then not even wearable for the occasion. It's the principleI will not
battle someone who lies to cover for themselvesThe dress was paid for and
prom is overI am done dealing with this person and this businessAnd I will
be sure to tell everyone I can about how my daughter and I were treated at
Nu-Way Cleaners All I can say is shame on you *** ***-*** and
shame on you Nu-Way cleaners

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I will drop off the jacket at Nu Way Cleaners at West lake today and as far as settlement, this jacket was originally $150.  I would accept $100 so I can replace it with hopefully a similar quality.

My apology, I thought I had  responded earlier.Since this was a complaint over sewing, I asked my Alterations Department supervisor to write a response,Any question   I am at [redacted](Response by [redacted])  In response to [redacted] letter, I ([redacted]...

[redacted]) have been working for this company for eighteen years, I have altered hundreds of prom dresses and I have never ruined one, we let dresses out, we take them in all the time.   [redacted] states that she figured that her daughter could try the dress on at the time of pick up, she did pick up the dress at 5:34pm on April 9th, 2015 and had every opportunity to get her daughter to try the dress on, giving us plenty of time to fix any issues with the dress, at the time of pick up the afternoon seamstress was here till 6pm.  She states that it was altered in the wrong area and that the beads and sequins were missing from the neck line, the neck line was never touched during alterations.  If there were any missing, it was brought to us that way.  The dress was to be taken in at the sides, which is under the arms and did not go near the waistline, which it will show on the original sewing form along with the hem, we will attach a copy of the sewing form, from April 9th, 2015.  On that Friday morning we did receive a call from [redacted] stating that the prom dress no longer fit her daughter, and that it was ruined, at that time she did also mention the missing beads and sequins and that she wanted a refund, she was informed that there would be no refund until we look at the dress and were given the opportunity to fix any issues she had with the dress.  I did state that any beads or sequins missing I would be glad to replace for her, but she kept saying that it was ruined, and that the previous night when her daughter tried the dress on and it did not fit, they went out and bought a new dress.  [redacted] then spoke to one of the CSR's asking what she should do and to have a manager call her, CSR did state that the best thing to do was to bring the dress in to take a look at it, at that time an appointment was made for Monday April 13th at 3:30pm, [redacted] never showed up, I waited here till 4:20pm, we never received a call from her either.  At the time that she spoke to the CSR she did mention about speaking to the manager, but since the appointment was made we didn't see the need to involve the other manager, though we did call her and let her know what was going on, and she said okay take care of it.   [redacted] came in with her daughter April 22, 2015 at 4:53pm, the daughter put the dress on it was able to zip up and it fit her perfectly according to the afternoon seamstress and the afternoon CSR, the CSR did witness the fitting, it looked perfect on the daughter.  At that time she never mentioned anything about the missing beads or sequins, along with anything about talking to the manager.  The last conversation what we did have with here was with the afternoon CSR when she called the week prior to her scheduled appointment time.  She wanted to know what was being done to her dress, CSR told her that we had been waiting to speak to her and get clarification on what she would like to have done, she was informed that the best thing to do would be for her to come in during the day and speak to the manager of the sewing department which is myself.  [redacted] asked who that was and CSR told her it was me, and that I was here Monday thru Friday from 7:30am to 3pm, she had already spoken to me before, but that it would be better to speak in person to make sure we know exactly what she would like done to the dress.  At this point CSR then set up and appointment at 9:30am May 6th 2015, CSR believes that she called on a Thursday to tell me that she just wanted me to undo what we had done to the dress which was to take the sides in, CSR let [redacted] know that she needed to come in to clarify it with myself, she said okay and that we would see her on Wednesday at 9:30am.  [redacted] came in on Wednesday May 6th at 10:29am to pick up the dress, the morning CSR asked her if she still wanted the repairs done and if she wanted to speak with myself she replied “NO” grabbed the dress and walked out.  In conclusion the dress is 100% wearable, but if the dress needs to be let out I would be very happy to do so, and put it back to its original unaltered state and repair any beads or sequins at a no charge, we bend over backwards to please customers even if that means staying late or even coming in early, which we have done numerous times. [redacted]

Friday, October 7, 2016Responses to Customer’s Statement of the Problem: I was a VIP member at Nu Way cleaners for approximately a year. In that span they ripped 6 of my shirts while pressing them. The first 2 they took no responsibility for. Comment: I (Jim N[redacted]) was not aware of this first...

issue, nor is anyone in my management team. I personally make ALL DECISIONS as to damage responsibility,The next 2 they finally did and issued me store credit. I told them it was their last chance. Comment: One (1) shirt was returned on or about July 28, 2016) that had an elongated hole or rip in the left sleeve elbow-area about 10.5 in from the cuff-line. There was visual evidence of wear because the material was worn thin in this area. Rather than argue with the customer that we (our machines) did not cause the tear, we gave him a store credit of $80.00 which was satisfactory to him. The negotiations on this complaint was handled by my general manager, Emily D[redacted]. They later ripped 2 more and I had enough. I asked them to pay for my shirts that they ripped. They accepted responsibility and let me know they would give me a check. After that they never would answer my calls or call me back. I went in and they stated the owner was on vacation. Comment: True, I did take a vacation. One month later I stopped in again. They had "replaced" my shirts with 2 new ones that are not only not my size but they are not even the same shirt. Comment: True we did buy two new shirts at [redacted]. The manager ([redacted]) and a customer service person ([redacted]) assured me that the shirts I purchased were the proper replacement by size and color. Mr. [redacted] currently has the shirts in his possession. Mr. [redacted] lied (or was confused) about the purchase date of the shirts. He stated they were bought in 2016 But the store records indicate that they were last sold in the “Holiday Period” of August to November 2014. The current replacement cost was found to be $57.26 each ($114.53 total) which is what I paid for the shirts he has in his possession. [redacted] is willing to  exchange the shirts  Mr. [redacted] has for $114.53 in merchandise of any kind. NOTE: ALL THREE SHIRTS ARE TORN (OR WORN) AT THE EXACT SAME LOCATION OF 10.5 INCHES ABOVE THE CUFF LINE OF THE LEFT SLEEVE.           PHOTOS ARE AVAILABLE Conclusionl I think we have been fair to Mr. [redacted] as he has received credit and value of $184.53 for three worn out shirts.
