Just Say NO to NuCo2 – I have a small restaurant, 40 seats. For years, I’d been getting my Co2 tanks refilled by Coca Cola or a local gas provider for around $26 per tank. Most times, those tanks would last 4 to 5 weeks. Some months ago, I saw a NuCo2 truck at another restaurant and looked into the service. A sales person stopped in and assured me that, although I might be paying “a little” more per month for the product but the convenience would be greater when NuCo2 was stopping by from time to time to “top me off”. The salesperson stated that there would be an equipment rental fee of around $50 per month and the Co2 would cost around $.57. She didn’t say per pound, she just said $.57 cents. I asked “Why so low?”, she said they made their money from the equipment rentals. She also clearly stated that if I didn’t like the service, I could simply discontinue and we’d be done. BT ! ! !
Like most human beings, I tend to trust people when they tell me things and I don’t read EVERY letter of EVERY contract I sign. My mistake. On the day NuCo2 arrived to install my system, the installer promptly cut through an in-wall power supply and killed the power to my water heater. He didn’t know he’d done this or didn’t bother to mention it. The next day, I had to call my own electrician in to fix the problem. I was able to provide my Electrician with NuCo2’s info, and to my understanding, they reimbursed my Electrician for the work he’d done.
Soon afterwards, I started seeing a NuCo2 service person every 3 or 4 weeks. I didn’t think much of it because I assumed he was just “topping off” the canister. Very soon, however, I started receiving the bills. Multiple bills. One for equipment rental and one for Co2 product. First of all, the bills were not factored on a monthly basis, it was every time the service technician came out. Very soon, I was seeing bills for hundreds of dollars.
I tried contacting NuCo2 to get clarification on the bills but they just insisted that I refer to my contract. After around six months of this, I felt like I could no longer live with being ripped off. I called and had my service discontinued. Several weeks later, I received a bill for “Cancellation of Service” for $3,550.00. Trust me, NuCo2 will never see a dime of the bogus cancellation fee and I will be sure to share this story with as many of my restaurant friends as possible.
NuCo2 is a RIP OFF company. Do Not use them for any reason. It’s a trap.

Exactly the same happening to me, it's real cheating they don't have proper answer, they try to avoid the call by putting on hold for long or they say we are rude when we communicate with the genuine topic, they try to use the word rude and start debating with us so sad such an irritating company.

This company is a joke! Val! Their representative was overly rude and unprofessional.

Anyone thinking of doing business with NUCOshould reconsider it ASAPThey lock you into a six (6) year contract and then leave you standed when repairs need to be completedTheir customer service department will tell you whatever you want to hear - in essence lie to you - and then argue with you when you call back to check details THE WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCE IN PLUS YEARS of dealing with vendors

NuCois a horrible company to deal with I have had their service for about years, when they were new and a local company located in Stuart, Fl They have grown out of control The service is horrible In April I had run out of coand called them to fill my tank The customer service lady was rude but I did get a delivery the same day Last week I once again ran out of co(which as everyone knows makes it impossible to serve draft beer or soda) I was out for days before they finally sent a truck I was told by customer service that they hadn't been to my place since April 30th It was now July 12th And yet on my bill I am paying a MONTHLY DELIVERY FEE of and a MONTHLY FUEL SURCHARGE of I was told that's part of my contract, which I haven't signed in years I am anxiously awaiting a copy from the company Don't deal with these people if you don't have to Unfortunately, they are the only game in my town that I know of

I have been a customer of NuCo2 for four and a half years. The main reason we signed up for service with them is because they are supposed to manage the CO2 levels, so my staff and myself don't have to. Early on, we were continuously running out of CO2. Similar to what others have written here, I was able to get my "emergency service" bills removed, but only after they were charged to me to begin with.

Frustrated, I finally asked that I be allowed to manage my own CO2 levels, essentially ordering as much as I want, when I want. As it turns out, this is not an option. The company must manage your CO2 levels, but send you the bill when they have to come out and fill your tank unscheduled. After a while, things leveled out and these problems stopped. Then I opened a new establishment, and I made the mistake of calling this company again.

We set up an install date with sales to be two days before I opened my doors, and they missed it entirely. When we called them, they said they forgot, but that they'd call and have a temporary tank put in. They did that, saying that it would last for 2 weeks, which was enough time for the real install. When I, unsurprisingly, ran out at about 9PM only a few days later, there was nothing I could do to get someone to fill my temporary tank. There is apparently no service whatsoever during the night hours.

Trying to create and maintain up a decent public opinion of my days old new location, I called a local provider, who promptly came out and set me up with a working solution, so the next day I called NuCo2 to cancel. The guy asked me why, I told him my story, he said he understood and that they'd come collect their equipment.

Two months later I get a call from a NuCo2 Field Account Coordinator saying that they noticed that we "displaced" their tank with another company's. I confirmed this and let them know I'd already cancelled. Not only did that apparently not happen, but now they are sending me a bill to pay out the rest of my contract as if I was using their services.

The contract, by the way, is six years, self-renewing. I clearly should have read through it better, but now that I'm in this situation, the Field Account Coordinator is not even interested in having me back as a customer. She'd rather have me pay out the remaining contract without having to provide any actual services, which I expect will be in excess of $10,000.

This is the worst company I have dealt with in over 22 years of business. I own a small restaurant and I can tell you NuCo2 will never live up to all of the promises they make or save you a dime! All they do is charge you. I received three bills today for about 400.00 and that is for one month! Emergency service is a joke and you never have any idea what on earth you are being charged for. The service where they fill everything up automatically is awful because you are charged even if you don't use it. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I feel sorry for all of the other customers locked into a six year contract!! I can't even get anyone on the phone to find out when my contract ends so I can cancel... The customer service number they provide is just a person on the line that says they will have someone get back to you and they never do. I read all of the vague responses to the other bad reviews and it is sorry when they blame other companies equipment for the faults with their service.

NuCo2 let us run out of gas this past July, November & now January. First time it happened I was told the driver came on Sunday memorial weekend & we were closed. We are always closed on Sunday & why did the driver not reschedule? Then I was charged $ 175.00 emergency fee to come out, which after complaining was removed. Then again, ran out 3 months later because they never came back!! Inconvenienced to say the least, lost sodas & draft sales!!!! Wrote a letter, called, no one responded. Now, 3 months later....RUN OUT AGAIN!!! Called, COMPLAINED & was told someone would contact me, STILL WAITING.....and my final straw was the new bill charging me another $ 175.00 emergency fill up BECAUSE THEY LET ME RUN OUT!!! (Contract says we will NEVER RUN OUT, what a BREACH!!!)This little Fish in their big Pond is tired of being IGNORED, and has now switched to a local company ,who not only resolved my problem within the hour, they answered the phone when I called. Now that is good service!!
