Our patient came into our offices not wearing contacts and requested an exam to refit and type of lens that was more suitable to his intermittent wearing schedule .We did refit and changed the Rx.and type of lens from monthly to daily throw away.Our patient then requested us to release a Rx for his old lenses in his new prescription which we never saw him inWe can't do that unless we see the lenses physically on his eyesWe recommended that he come in in which case we would provide trail lenses in the new prescription based on his old lenses design.Once followed up with us seeing the lenses on his eyes we will be more than happy to provide his Rx as required by Federal lawProviding a contact lens Rx with out seeing the actual lenses on a patients eyes is Federaly illegalour doctors have explained the standard of care required and our patient will pick up new lenses so we can evaluate them and provide his RxHe understands what is requiredIt is our pleasure to refit our patient at no additional charge.American Vision
