Review: To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to you because I am being harassed Nuevos Encuentros San Diego office. I signed up for this company's dating service and within a few days I called to try to cancel my membership and ask for a refund to what I already had paid, which was within the cancellation time frame. When I expressed to the receptionist that I wanted to cancel she said that I couldn't and that she was going to sue me, then she hung up. I stopped payment on the second check that I gave the company, since they had already cashed my first check. The receptionist called me (4/30/2013) and was upset saying that she was going to sue because I didn't want to pay. I told her that I tried calling and that the company didn't want to cancel my membership. She told me the same thing that I was told before, that I was going to get sued and she hung up. The next day (5/01/2013) a man, that stated that he was calling from the Los Angeles Superior Court, told me that I am being sued. When I asked if I could speak to someone that spoke Spanish, he gave me a different number to call (###-###-####, which is Nuevos Encuentros' Accounting Department) and stated that I needed to call immediately. I called (5/01/2013) Los Angeles Superior Court back and the person that answered said that there was no case opened for me and that they would not call me directly, and even before anyone would, I would receive a letter in the mail, which I haven't. I tried calling (5/01/2013) the Nuevos Encuentros San Diego office back and the receptionist didn't let me talk, she kept talking over me, calling me a liar. Therefore, I need to go beyond her. When I looked at this company, it seemed very professional, but with everything that has just happened, their image has been tarnished for me. Now I have the phone number: ###-###-#### calling me non-stop. Please help me solve this and make the harassment stop. In response of the complain # [redacted] Mrs. [redacted] came to the office on March 16th 2013, after explaining our

services she decided to buy a membership. She left a postdated check of $250.00

for March 26th, 2013 and another postdated check for the remaining

balance of 249.00 for April 26th, 2013.00

On April 4th, 2013 we sent her an

email with all her information to start using the service.

On April 9th, 2013 she called to

cancel her membership, [redacted] from accounting explained to her that she had 3

business days after she signed her contract that she could canceled her

contract but there was no refund as stayed on the contract after talking with

[redacted] she decided not to cancel but she ask to make payments on her remaining

balance. Her next payment was going to be on April 26th, 2013 for

$100.00.

On April 28th, 2013 we called her to

ask for her payment she never returned our call.

On May 1st, 2013 her contract was

sent to collection.

We are here to give her the service is she still

wants it; we called her twice because her picture appeared on our most recent

catalog and a few members have been asking to meet her but she said that she is

not interested.

Per her request her membership has been cancel.

I tried canceling within the time frame I was given. Then they started to harass me saying that I was a liar and that they were going to sue me. Then they had someone from court call me and act like he was the lawyer saying that he needed to collect money. Then I received a letter from a fake collection agency, which I still have, saying that I owed triple the money. All this harassment and lying on their part is affecting my health! I just hope they don't continue doing this to other people that cannot use their voice!
