Repair man showed up in a red car, no uniform, no markings on the car Very elderly man who was shorter than the ice maker he came to repair After a couple minutes of shining his flashlight up into the unit he said the newer refrigerator icemakers can't be repaired, that I'd have to replace the whole unit Quoted me $with tax Told him no and paid the $service call fee We looked up the part on line from Whirlpool...$plus shipping Now I understand that they need to make a profit on parts but he quoted $for that part....really that much of a mark up? Over $for labor and we found the video from Whirlpool to install it and it is a minute job for a competent person I would NOT recommend doing business with them
