NuMale Medical Center Reviews (10)

For anyone considering Numale for their HRT, I would strongly advise that you consider a different provider. My experience with them has been absolutely horrible.

1) They will delay delivery of your meds on a consistent basis with one excuse or another (they "forget" to order - this happened to me at least 6 times over the past 2 years!)

2) They illegally ask you to use medication that has expired (HCG expires in 30 days - they ask you to use it for 60!)

3) They will withhold medically necessary medication to save themselves $

4) When you raise concerns with them, their customer service is extremely poor - there is no one to talk to and very rude over the phone.

5) They basically will do anything and everything to avoid hurting their bottom line at your expense. They delayed delivery of my meds necessary for fertility. I literally had to threaten legal action to get my meds overnighted (they insisted this was not possible).

The only thing they DO care about is how much $ they are pocketing.

The care I received was so negligent and unethical that I am reporting their Beverly Hills Dr. and chief medical officer, Dr. Asandra to the California medical board.

Review: I had gone in for a $99 consult. Listened, did what they told me to do and felt pressured into what was offered to me. I was going to sign up for the program but the same day I changed my mind. They said I was not allowed to do this. They had already set up a "customized" care plan. As a patient I know I have rights and felt completely taken advantage us. Now they said they would take me to small claims court if I did not pay for services I decided not to do? I don't understand.Desired settlement: I do not feel like I am obligated to pay for services not rendered.

response:

because of hippa regulations we can not confirm or deny if the complainant is or is not a patient. In general terms any patient that chooses to join our program signs that they understand they are joining a program that does not allow for cancellations or refunds. We are here for any of our patients that join us for the length of time they sign up for. There is no cooling off period in medical treatment and choose to abide by the terms or our agreements in all cases.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint id [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I read the response from the business. I called the same night and left a message on the answering machine to let them know I was not going to do the program. I felt pressured into signing something that I did not completely understand. I did not even start treatment. There may be "no cooling off period" in medcial treatment,(i'm not even sure what this means?) but I do have the right to not seek care and not have to pay for something I did not receive or wish to pursue. Furthermore, I do not have the financial means to pay for something I never received. As a "business" they should be doing and listening to what is in the best interest of the patient not their pocketbook.

response:

in general terms any patient that joins us for treatment does so of their own accord and is given every opportunity to ask any and all questions they may have, in fact the sign acknowledging that they do fully understand all treatment. If a patient decides at a later time that it is a financial issue of being able to afford treatments that is outside of our control. Individuals should be aware of their own financial means before agreeing to sign up and any services. Again if a patient has agreed to join us for services then his medications that are custom compounded would have been ordered that same day, calling back later that night would not change the fact that they have already been produced. We are here for all of our patients for the length of time that they have purchased our therapy no matter if they pick up the treatments.

$800.00 a week for a painful [redacted] is a unsatisfactory result.

Review: My Husband sought out treatment for Erectile Dysfunction based on media advertisement and mailings indicating the high success rating and guarantee's. I was skeptical and did a search on this company. Based on what I found and your review on Revdex.com, it looked like this was a legitimate company. They required an up front payment of 2400.00 which would cover a years worth of "treatments". However, we were given high expectations we would receive results "right away". We regretfully paid the 2400. and certainly did not see results. After 13 treatments over 6 weeks, we barely had 2 successes. This whole experience was very stressful to both my husband and I and actually made things worse. He worked closely with NuMale for the 6 weeks; tried different dosages and formulas. After the lack of results, we decided enough was enough and decided it was just not going to work and was causing more stress. My husband notified them in person his decision this was not working and best to stop. Since January 20, 2015 we have been requesting a refund for the portion of the treatment we did not receive. I have e-mailed various members of this company numerous times trying to resolve this dispute in an ethical and pragmatic manner. They are refusing and only tell us they are "willing" to continue to work with my husband. We are not "willing" to continue treatments that are not working and are causing undo stress. I cannot believe in 2015, there are still business' that have such a poor business practice and policy. The right thing to do is admit it did not work and graciously provide us the refund for the portion of the treatment he did not receive. Thank you.Desired Settlement: A refund for the portion of the "treatment" not received.

Review: I made an appointment for a free consultation.during the visit I met with several assistants/drs.they performed tests and took a blood sample.I did sign a credit application and initially agreed to accept treatment. Before I had left the office I had decided not to go through with it because financially it was not a good time,I'm afraid of needles and the side effects weren't worth the risk.I expressed this to the two gentlemen in the room with me at the time. They gave me a folder with more literature about the treatment, told me to take a week to think it over and they would call me to see if I changed my mind.a short time later I received a bill from HC proceessing center for $3600.I disputed this with HC processing which was denied. They said I would have to resolve this with NuMale which I have tried unsuccessfully over the phone and in person several times.[redacted]-the person I dealt with would only say "you signed for it" so you are responsible. On 3 separate occasions he said I would be credited for a portion of the treatment but the other treatment was non-refundable because it is specially formulated according to the tests and bloodwork.I have yet to be credited. This has now negatively affected my credit score and the rate of the home loan I applied for.Desired Settlement: I would like Numale medical to give me a full refund and cancel my account with HC processing

Response:

[redacted] visited NUMale Medical Center on 5-16-13 for a medical cQ.1sultation. All services and procedures that were preformed were within the standard of care. On S-16-13 Mr. [redacted] decided to join OUf program and proceed with treatments. Mr. [redacted] opted to use an outside financing company to pay for his services allowing for monthly payments. It was fully explained to Mr. [redacted] that the treatment is specifically compounded for his use and as such are unable to be returned or canceled. Mr. [redacted] signed all necessary disclosures and consents for the treatment and the financing company.

On 5/21/13 we contacted and left a Voice Mail that Mr. [redacted]'s treatment was here and ready to be picked up. We did not hear back from Mr. [redacted] until 6-05-13 where he let us know he has changed his mind and did not want to proceed. Mr. [redacted] was informed that ttl is was not possible and his treatments was available in the office for him to pick up. Mr. [redacted] was not happy and after some debate he was offered a one-time courtesy credit of $1,300 to which he stated it was not good enough.

On 7/9/13, NuMale Medical Center was notified by Enhanced Patient Finance, (company that Mr. [redacted] applied for financing) that Mr. [redacted] wanted to cancel the financing, we then provided additional documentation to Enhanced Patient Finance, however, heard nothing further after that.

On October 15, 2013, Mr. [redacted] stopped into our office, we showed him the treatment that was ordered and was here since May 21, 2013. Mr. [redacted] then requested the- $1,300 courtesy credit which was sent to Mr. [redacted] that same day.

In closing Mr. [redacted] signed all proper forms and was fully aware that any and all treatment once ordered could not be canceled or returned. We will not be making any additional refunds or considerations for Mr. [redacted].

Should you need further information please feel free to contact me at 414-727-8380.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

as I stated in my complaint I initially agreed to the treatment, but before leaving the office on 5-16 I made it perfectly clear that I had changed my mind. The dr. seemed agitated but gave me the literature on the treatment, told me to read it over and that they would call within a week to see if I wanted to go through with it.When the office called I purposely did not answer because I wasn't going to do it and didn't want them hounding me.I received the bill shortly thereafter and tried unsuccessfully to resolve this with the finance company and Numale.Brad's response was "you signed for it" but as I stated before I left the office I did not want to go through with it.Either there was a miscommunication on the part of Numale or they just figured they had my signature and eventually my money. In my refusal to pay this bill of $3500 which is a great deal of money,my near perfect credit score has taken a hit and negatively affected the home loan for the condo I recently purchased.I have already paid approximately $700 to the finance company only to get my balance current otherwise my home loan wouldn't be approved.I would like Numale to close my acct. with the finance company and bring this matter to an end.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

As previously stated, we consider this matter closed, I personally met with and discussed this with Mr.[redacted] on several occasions. As previously stated Mr. [redacted] never expressed to cancel his treatment or we would have not ordered his medication.

Review: nu male promises to get you an erection. Their treatment did not work on me. They promised me a full refund twice. t never happened. faxed them and sent two letters. No answer. Response:

[redacted] is currently listed as a client of ours that has accepted our therapeutic treatments. Our treatment is designed to show recovery over time and Mr. [redacted] was shown to be a candidate for our treatment when tested in the office. Mr. [redacted] signed all documents showing that the treatments are compounded for the individual and not subject to cancellations and/or refunds, however Mr. [redacted] has already disputed the charged with his credit card company and asked for a charge back. Mr. [redacted] has also elected to receive other treatments that have also been completed that he is still benefiting from.

Review: I went to numale medical center because of "Low T." I scheduled an appointment for 5/13/14, which I attended. One their website it states that I would walk out the door with a one-year refillable prescription with an asterisk next to it which read below "Pharmacy medications prescribed are an additional cost. Pharmacy pricing for medications will vary based on quantity ordered." After I was given a COMPLETE sales pitch for their Low T therapy which ranged from $1900-$2500, I was told by the "Doctor" that he wouldn't give me a written script because "He'd have to follow me." This place is nothing but a complete sham unless you go in there willing to spend around $2K which they fail to tell you on their website or on the phone even though it's advertised on their "100% money-back Guarantee" page. My test check was also so ridiculously low that it had to have been completely made up in order to try and convince me to buy their two-thousand dollar products. I also was not offered the "Doppler Ultrasound" which was also supposed to be included in the $99 exam. I was told by a 20 year old salesman that if I didn't pay he'd call the police. They were completely rude from the get-go and I hoping people realize that they're advertised on the radio that they're nothing but talk. Completely avoid this place. Their salesman was a joke.....not even a doctor. I WANT AND DESERVE MY $99 BACK!Desired Settlement: Full $99 refund for failure to provide what was included in my "$99 consultation."

Business

Response:

Due to HIPPA regulations we are not able to confirm or deny if the complainant is a patient or not. However in general terms we offer a consultation for the low cost of $99 and our guarantee is if it is determined that you are not a candidate for our services you will not be charged. The financial status of if a patient can afford our treatment has no bearing on our guarantee.

I had an appointment at the Las Vegas, NV office. I have had ED for over 10 years. I have seen nearly 7 different Urologists over the last 10 years with no success in helping me with my issue. When I visited the NuMale office I learned many reasons as to what was effecting my ability to get an erection. They then provided me with medication and within 10 minutes I had an erection. I literally cried. I lost my wife over my condition, and have remained single since, had I only known about the treatment that NuMale offers sooner I may have been able to save my marriage.

Having my prostate removed a couple of years ago, pills not always working, I decided to try NuMale's $99 evaluation and trial treatment. It worked! Cost of the ICP year treatment ($2400) was not easy to digest, but decided to give it a try. Results are still being evaluated. Two concerns. 1.) My first vials had an expiration date 2 weeks before my next shipment. 2,) On May 19, 2015, ordered next prescription with a "[redacted]", explained my concern with the dates of previous vials. He stated he would make sure new vials would have appropriate expiration dates and would be mailed to me but stated that I would have to come back to office next time pick up prescription and a follow-up evaluation. It's May 28, 2015 and have not received prescription so I call office, passed 3 times finally to talk to manager, "[redacted]". He stated he could not find order but promised that he would personally ship it next week. I stated that this kind of service, especially with what was paid, was unacceptable. In summary, still evaluating the procedure, but the service needs to worked on. Will let you know what happens or doesn't happen.

The Skokie Illinois office was professional, however, their treatment didn't solve my issue. They didn't listen to, or adjust treatment to my specific needs. My suggestion is to use your insurance to get testosterone treatments and a prescription from your doctor for Quad-mix injections. This is basically all they did at an outrageous cost. Please learn from my expensive mistake!
