I Ordered a building from them and gave them a deposit of $778.31 on 6/2/2020. *** with #1 buildings informed me the day I gave them the deposit that *** would call me the next week to finalize the building details and then they would be out in appx 2 weeks to install the building. After no one called for several weeks I waited and waited for a call but the call never came. I called and left messages and texted them (have proof of this) on many occasions. After no one called after 6 weeks, I called *** back and was told her boss would contact *** and have them call me immediately. *** did not call and only texted me after they found out how upset I was. Here is the text content word for word which I received from *** on July 15th (I still have the text and can fwd to you if need be. "Hey ***, *** from Number 1 buildings asked me to touch base with you. Due to Covid 19 we are running behind. We was shut down about 8 weeks. I will try to work on a date for you but I do not have one as of now. As soon as a date has been issued I will give you a call about 5 days prior to coming out. Thanks so much"
My Original install date should have been the middle of June based on what *** with #1 buildings told me when my deposit was made. It is now going on 2 months and ONLY AFTER I complained and requested my deposit back did they make an actual phone call me. When they finally called and found how upset I was did they ask me if I would take the building if they could give me a date to install the building. I let them know I do not like being lied too and because of the delays and lies I wanted a full refund. I did not agree to 3-4 months before an install. Because of all of the lies (have documentation by text) I would like my deposit back. I do not want their building because I DO NOT like being lied to over and over again. I have made other arrangements to get a building installed.

Please find attached a copy of my contract as well as a copy of my credit card statement showing the deposit payment to Number1Buildings. Also one thing I thought of last night that I feel is important to my complaint. I gave them a deposit of 6/2/15. The text message I shared with you was dated 7/15/2020 in which the state they had been closed for 8 weeks which is not true.

If you back up 8 weeks from 7/15/2020 that puts you back into the middle of May and at no time did Number1Buildings tell me there would be a delay (they couldn't have) because at the time even if *** was shut down how would they have know on 6/2/2020 how long they would be down due to COVID-19

This customer was never lied to by Number 1 Buildings or by CCI.

All installs have been backed up because of the different requirements that each state has due to the Covid-19. No one by any means is using that as a excuse. We have 7 plants nationwide and service 28 states. We were forced to stop installs in some states until they eased up there ridiculous guidelines because of this virus.

Customer's order was pulled and a install date scheduled, then the customer said he just wanted to cancel his order.

Sales agreement clearly states that no refunds will be issued if a customer decides to cancel.

We only issue refunds if the customer's county does not approve the structure or is denied a building permit.

I put a deposit on a barn to be built. I asked multiple times if there would be a delay based on the cornanvirus and I was told there would not be. I informed this company multiple times that I was on a strict time constraint and needed the building put up by that time. I was promised that my timeline would not be a problem at all. I was informed that in order to get on the schedule I had to give them my $3,000 deposit which I did. They told me I needed to call a certain phone number to get an update on install. I called to see what the hold up was and I received a voicemail stating they had closed due to coronavius(even though this is considered an essential business) and that they were unsure when they would reopen. There was no person to speak with just a message stating the business was closed. Clearly at this time being the consumer who just gave them $3,000 of my money and had made it clear I needed this building by a certain time I was very upset. I had no choice but to contact other companies(that were still open since its considered an essential business) and select a new company to install my building. This company now will not give me back my deposit even though they are the ones that closed without any warning, no phone call or email, no way to reach anyone in the scheduling department to see when or IF they were planning to reopen.

First I will state by saying her statement is nothing but lies. No one is ever told they have to make there down payment to get on the schedule. Down payment is always made when the customer places there order. Down payments are non refundable unless there is a permitting issue. Florida shutdown and it took a little while to get in touch with her permitting department. She was never told at anytime that it was business as usual, everyone knows when this virus thing stated that businesses were not operating as usual. We opened and tried to get her on the schedule but she refused.

I already responded to this before. Customer order building. Then Covid 19 happened and everything shut down and most states would not let any installs happened. We took care of the permit and one is not needed where she is because of AG exempt. Customers building was manufactured and is still currently sitting in the warehouse. Customer was called to be put on the schedule and she said she did not want the building anymore. THERE will be no refund because we have a 30k building sitting here for this customer and they changed there mind. Signed sales agreement states there are NO REFUNDS on down payments.

I am rejecting this response because:

Our state never shut down for construction or building as that is an essential business. The permit information was resolved long before the shut down(proof provided a permit was not required). Attached is the email from this company stating their install date is 2-4 weeks from the date that I have my permit(not needed as stated on the sales contract) and the site is ready(site was ready as stated on the contract). As After 4 weeks, the max time stated for my install not only did I not have an install date but the company didnt even have me on the schedule. Then a week later they shut down with no notice, I called to see when I would get my building and all I got was a recording stating they had shut down and did not have a reopening date, there was no one answering the phones, no way to leave a message, just shut down with no reopening date. As I stated to Number 1 Buildings multiple times I needed this barn installed right away. When their company shut down with no notice and no way for me to reach anyone I hired another company who was still working(since construction is an essential business) to install our barn. Since they promised the barn would be installed in 2-4 weeks and it was not, there was no communication, a refund should most certainly be issued. This company is not practicing good ethics.

Number1buildings is the place to go we will not take our business anywhere else Not only was all of our questions answered and our insecurities met with comfort. Renee responded all through the day and the evening and even on weekends the sale price was amazing we got our building within a month which is totally awesome I highly recommend you go to number 1 buildings they are great

The staff at Number1 buildings were great to work with! They were quick and timely in their responses and even delt with my last minute changes. The crew worked quickly getting my barn up and even worked in the cold rain! I felt so bad for them!!

Signed a contract to have a metal building erected. I constructed a deck/floor/support structure from railroad ties and 2x6 floor joists and also received a building permit from our county. I sent the requested pictures of the floor to Number1building, they , at least at the time, had no problems with it and forwarded them on to their supplier who did/does. *** said they wouldn't erect it on my foundation and cancelled the deal. I contacted number1building to get my deposit back and said they would not. They have never inspected my foundation in person, just seen pictures. I've since had a contractor out and he saw no problems once I finished installing all my hold down straps, which would have been in place prior to the installation.
Even if their contention was valid, their website says they would install on any level surface and unless my levels are all liars, it is level.

I did respond to this compliant with-in the first 11 days of it being Filed. I do not know why you never received it but it was completed and submitted before midnight on the 11th day.

I have included a copy of the contract that was initialed and signed.

I have also included a picture of the foundation that this customer wanted us to build a garage on.

You should be happy we did not build on this foundation as you can see yourself that it is in no way, SAFE.

Customer will not be receiving a refund. That is clearly stated in our terms and conditions that he signed and initialed.

Plus customer threatened everyone that he talked to on the phone. Very disrespectful towards towards all of us, even went as far as calling our top sales lady a Bh.

I could go on and on about the interaction with this customer, but what's the point.

I do not feel that this is necessary but I am being forced into this by the Revdex.com when all of this could have been avoided if the Revdex.com did just a little bit of research before they take a customers word on things. This has turned into such a joke.

Excellent service overall! Very attentive. Quick call back. Very patient with me I tend to ask a lot of questions..????
