Review: The owner at the counter took the shoes, examined them and then proceeded to take some type of special spray and showed me, on a small area, how the shoe could be polished up nicely with this product. He then asked me if I liked it and I said yes. I was a little surprised when he then told me I could pick them up on a later date and gave me a slip and told me my total was $40. Now this is not a complaint on the price but how this was handled as of now. I was always charged $5 to $10 for the little pegs that just need to be nailed on which . And I understand this place is now under a new owner BUT I nicely told the man, I would check with my daughter to make sure that was ok for her and I would come back. I only live right down the street. He then proceeded to yell at me asking me why I was wasting his time and to call my daughter right at that very moment. I tried to explain that my daughter was at work but I would gladly bring them back as long as the price was okayed by her being she never paid that amount. He then snatched the shoes back and put them behind the counter and refused to return them unless I paid him the $40. I tried to explain to him that I hadn't received a service yet, they hadn't been repaired and that it was my property so he needed to return them. He continued to holler and scream profanities. Saying he couldn't believe I had wasted his time. I offered to give him $5 for the tiny bit of spray he used on the small corner of my one shoe but he refused saying the only way I'd get them back would be if I paid the full $40. I at this time was extremely upset and pleaded with him to give me my daughters shoes back or I would call the police. At that time he lowered his asking price to $15 to get my shoes back. After a lot of arguing back and forth I threatened to call the police more firmly and he then took one of the shoes to what looked like a machine to grind down some wood of hard surfaces and placed the leather shoes in it and damaged themDesired Settlement: Being that I only asked for the tips of the heels to be replaced, and I never asked for a spray at anytime, and ended up leaving with my daughters shoes more damaged then when I brought them in, I would like the shoes replaced. I have been a loyal client for years before the previous owner passed and loved him dearly. I cant believe the awful treatment of this new local business man. It is not right

Review: I had a pair of boots that needed to be repaired, the owner damaged the shoe by sparying something on the shoe that I purposely requested he didn't. The owner then claimed that once the spray dried, the shoes would be normal again, when in fact, they came out even more damaged. When I went back to the store later that same day to ask him to fix the shoes or give me a refund for their value, he said "I don't have time for your [redacted]" When I then said, "excuse me," he said "you heard me." The shoes were damaged and I was disrespected.Desired Settlement: Obviously he can not repair the damage and therefore I want a refund of $98.00 for the shoes. I have a receipt for proof that the shoes cost $98.00 and will provide it.

Review: Price listed on their price board to shine shoes was $3.50 per pair. I was charged $5.00 per pair to shine my shoes, so their posted prices were misleading. After I told him that the posted price for a shine was $3.50, he did not honor that price and still charged me $5.00. He also repaired a hole in the sole of the shoe (which only required several drops of sealant), but he did not say there would be a charge to do this. When it came time to pay, he charged me $10 for this.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund on the difference of the posted prices as compared to the actual price that I was charged. I had 3 pairs of shoes shined and was charged $15 for the shoe shine for 3 shoes as opposed to what should have been a $10.50 charge for 3 shoes as posted (difference of $4.50). I would also like a partial refund on the sole repair since he did not inform me that there would be a charge for this.Would also like to make public that their prices (as posted) are misleading.
