Nurse Next Door Reviews (9)

Terrible service/ Owner Has A Complex
I RARELY write negative reviews. In fact, I could Count on one hand how many reviews I’ve taken the time to write. But I feel it’s important for anyone who is desiring to leave their loved ones in the care of someone to know what they are getting into. When I hired nurse next-door I was treated with the upmost care and respect from the lady who was trying to win my business. Once my business was given to this company everything went downhill. Out of five visits with my father two of the caregivers were late and one didn’t even show up. We had four different caregivers for four different visits we did have when I was assured my dad would have the same caregivers being I made a schedule with them. I also had a very important meeting one day one caregiver decided not to show up for. At all. So I had to cancel my meeting. We had agreed on one day a week, for three hours a day, in the initial time my dad needed help. I was extremely appreciative they were going to work with me. Unfortunately, for them they’ve missed out on a lot of money because this would’ve shifted as soon as we bought our home and we would’ve needed a lot more care. They agreed to the one day a week, three hours a day, only to renege on it, because I asked the owner about an invoice that they had sent me I didn’t owe. He proceeded to remind me, twice on two different occasions now mind you, they had given me a break on a previous invoice because I didn’t provide 24 hour notice on a cancellation. Well thank you so much for your kindness after all the hell you’ve put us through! Thank you for throwing it in my face sir! I received yet another invoice I should have not received from this company for services that were not rendered that I simply asked about. It was clear because I asked about this invoice the owner was upset and decided he wanted to take me back to the three days a week three hours a day knowing we did not need that kind of service right now and that is not what they had agreed to. These people are absolutely awful when it comes to caring for your loved ones. They really do not care is the bottom line because their actions absolutely show it. I had already been in the works of hiring another place but I was going to give them another chance, but they just proved to me I I was on the right path. Not only was their service terrible, they could not take any kind of criticism without trying to punish you for it. I wasn’t even mean about the invoice. But it’s apparent to me this man needs to stay in his CEO position at St Francis as a hotshot and stay out of the service business.

Don’t ever put your loved ones in the care of someone who is vindictive!

And let me just add… why in the world would I want them to care for my dad three days a week at three hours each time when they couldn’t even prove they can handle one day a week ….

We recently hired "Nurse Next Door" to take care of our dad who was nearing his deathWe had them from the 11:pm to 11:am time periodThis was a huge mistake This company is not together yet Very unorganized On one occasion no one showed up!! They knew for hours that they did not have coverage but never told us! The only way we found out was through a friend who had the 8:pm to 11:pmOur father who was totally bedridden with cancer would have had no one to care for him for hoursOn another day a shift aid left before his replacementcame Our father was left alone again for 1/hours! Another time an aid was lost At 12:am we had to talk her through getting to dad's house Another 1/hours, dad was helplessThey obviously do not provide their aides with a GPS When our dad was unresponsive the aid called when it was clearly stated to ALWAYS call Hospice first AmbuIances cameWhat a mess to straighten out! We could go on but it is too sad We requested a meeting with the owner of Nurse Next Door" to air our grievances She not only did not come but never called and sent others to take her place She was too BUSY for usOur dad passed within a few weeks and it saddens us that we chose "Nurse Next Door" Finally, it is not a nurse that comes, They are aids and therefore are not able to administer pain medications or morphine There were only two people in the organization that tried their best to rectify a bad situation Unfortunately they were outnumbered

The Nurse Next Door has been an amazing experience since day oneThe NND team are professional and very well trainedI live hours from my mother and my brother is about minutes from her house; this agency has given us the peace of mind that mom is well taken care of while honoring her wishes to stay in her home and 'age in place'The caregivers do everything from day to day chores around the house, cook meals, grocery stop, light cleaning, they take mom to all of her appointments, lunches and almost anywhere she wants to goThey even offer a monitoring system so I can check on my mother to see how long she has been laying in bed, or sitting in her favorite chair
The Nurse Next Door has truly been a God send and I don't know what I would do without them and I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone!
