Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:As a nurse, I KNOW HRT is a controlled medication which is why I don't know why a day supply could not be issued until an appointment could be made This is poor care to just stop a medication regardless of missed appointment I want the NP who initially saw my child and who started this business to call me personallyI'm tired of rude responses from whichever employee THINKS he owns this business Regards, [redacted]

Good MorningIt is our policy to treat every patient with respect and dignity We are a very busy practice with many challenges that come along with being the only Medicaid/ Medicare psychiatry practice in this region We have developed a new phone system to try and curtail the previous problems that have been experienced when trying to get through on the phone I had to leave the office because of an emergency and was notified of this incident this morning It is our current policy to fill ANY psychotropic medications at ANY time regardless if you have missed you and appointment or not It is our policy, however, that we WILL NOT fill controlled substances, i.e.- Xanax, ambien, klonipin, belsomra, phentermine, ativan, valium- without an appointment due to DPS/ DEA guidelines and regulations My next available appointment should have been offered to you You commonly run late for your appointments and we try hard to accommodate ANY patient that has issues with making it to their appointments on time, but we cannot and do not fill controlled substances without a visit Please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] for further resolution if needed I also encourage you as a consumer to shop around and find a practice that is a "best fit" for your lifestyle if it seems too cumbersome to make it to our practice on time [redacted] MPAS, PA- provider

you clearly show a blatant disregard for patient care.

Thank-you for bringing this to my attention Patients have a deductible and out of pocket amount on their individual insurance plans each year For this patients particular plan, they had a $out of pocket deductible to meet that had not been met In my practice I collect ALL
fees upfront and do NOT send bills The standard charge for an office visit in my office is $ Until their deductible is met then the insurance will pay for the designated portion of her visit, assigned by her plan It is unfortunate that the patient does not know that she has an out of pocket deductible This is very different than a co-payThanks for your time regarding this matter

this patient is on HRT therapy and requires an office visit to get refills on medications They are controlled substances The patient missed his last apointment without calling us We will be happy to continue to sevice this patient if they can make it to their appointment

I am rejecting this response because:As a nurse,  I KNOW HRT is a controlled medication which is why I don't know why a 30 day supply could not be issued until an appointment could be made.  This is poor care to just stop a medication regardless of missed appointment.  I want the NP who initially saw my child and who started this business to call me personally. I'm tired of rude responses from whichever employee THINKS he owns this business.
