Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response becauseI understand that this is the choice of the businessI will not use them anymoreIf a business and product are good enough, then a company will give refundsI work at a retail businessWe do whatever it takes to keep a customerNot Balance of NatureThey set up policies and create "scripts" to a get a customer to NOT cancel and to hang on to them so they get maximum moneyIF they were reputable, they'd simply have cancelled my order as I initially requestedThey tried to talk me into keeping it, knowing that people forget, etcThey take advantage of the trust factorThe offer to work with a coach is not something that appeals to meIt's a joke and their scamThey refuse to give a refund...who would want to do business with a company that treats a customer that way? We are very sorry to hear about Mrs [redacted] 's health issues We wanted to reassure that our product is strictly whole fruits and whole veggies They are non-gmo, organic, and tested multiple times to ensure the highest quality We do provide a day money back guarantee for our products and when it is out of that time period, unfortunately we do not have an option to refund the customer Our company handles the refund issues as well, there is no separate company that is in charge of that just to clear up any misunderstanding Because balance of nature is strictly all natural fruits and veggies, we do not add anything whatsoever extra to the fruits and veggies that are included we have not heard of a reaction of this type before We do provide a day money back guarantee and this customer even stated she noticed her symptoms after weeks of taking the product, but the refund was not initiated by the customer within that period of time, it was requested about days later so a refund does not seem likely at this time especially where this was already looked into Also, more than likely the symptoms the customer would be feeling would not be related to taking fruits and veggies, if anything that would only help the situation However, we will look into this further for the customer and see if there is anything else that can be done and ensure that our product was at the highest standard when it was delivered to Mrs [redacted] Thank you, Dustin

Our intention was not to have people forget to cancel, we want all customers to receive the health benefits from taking our products Mr [redacted] could cancel at anytime, but we believe that he would have benefited so much more by taking the product regularly as have so many people before him Also he had the option to remove the fiber and spice as well Unfortunately we can only refund within the first days, which as Mr [redacted] did briefly mention, he is no longer eligible for a refund This is not some scam to make money or we wouldn't have a product that is so expensive to make and have helped so many people including myself We apologize for the situation, but we would be more than happy to have Mr [redacted] eligible to talk with a health coach that could still help him see results with the product he has leftThank you!Dustin

We have looked into this further and found that it is the customers responsibility to request a refund within the day money back guarantee in order for a refund to be issued. We apologize for the problems this customer experienced, but we have not had any other reports of any similar problems with the product and believe it is not related to the use of fruits and veggies. We have checked with manufacturing as well to confirm this information. The customer stated she did know within weeks of taken the product, which would have been enough time to request and receive a refund, however a refund was not requested in that time frame. We would love to be able to refund every case that comes our way, but we are unable to at this point of time so we have to stick to our policy and procedures. However, we do look into drastic situations as well for refunds, but we could not find any definitive information that this was a problem with our product, especially without receiving any other cases like this and knowing that our product is only fruits and veggies. If MrsWeberling could provide any such information showing that her condition was related to our product or if she has a food allergy to specific fruits/veggies we would be more than happy to refund her in this situation. Sincerely, It is not satisfactory, but I accept it; however, I still think that they take advantage of people. They are not clear about their policies, for most people do not read all these attachments. After all, it is only vitamins, not a lifetime thing. They are still cheating people in my estimation.

I am rejecting this response because. I understand that this is the choice of the business. I will not use them anymore. If a business and product are good enough, then a company will give refunds. I work at a retail business. We do whatever it takes to keep a customer. Not Balance of Nature. Hello, Hello,Mrs. [redacted] digitally signed the document we attached on March 17th, 2008 at 12:07pm MST.  We have an email from her where she agreed to "I understand that as a preferred customer of Balance of Nature, I will receive an automated monthly shipment of product and that the...

credit/debit card I have provided will be charged for the amount of my order." We have a copy that was sent to her email [redacted] that was responded to by Mrs. [redacted] saying "I am signing the agreement and am approving it by Email.      [redacted]    I will not be returning it.".  We also have a recorded call from March 17th as well where Mrs. [redacted] agreed to the reoccurring orders each month as well.  If there is more information you wish us to provide, we are able to do that by sending the original email and we have more items to show that we notified Mrs. [redacted] about the reoccurring orders including a letter we mailed out and the invoice itself showing the date of the next charge.  We can provide these additional documents if needed.  We would be willing to provide the phone call where it is agreed upon if that is possible.  We apologize for any confusion, that is why we attempt to notify customers in multiple ways in order to ensure it is completely understood.
