I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. After speaking with Ms. [redacted] (please forgive possible misspelling), the matter has been resolved.  Per Ms, [redacted], all associated credit reports have been corrected and collection activities will be ceased.  I greatly appreciate NuVision's willingness to accept responsibility and initiate corrective action in a timely manner.
Regards,

We have been in contact with Mr. [redacted], have further explained the process and are working with him to satisfy the requirements in order to release the funds on hold for his vehicle repairs.  We look forward to resolving this matter with our member while providing him with the high level of service NuVision stands for.

Problem: NU Vision refused to release funds for repair of my vehicle. I had no choice but to trade the vehicle in. The dealership I went to paid the vehicle off to Nu vision. Nu vision has 6500 of my money owed to me from the repairs to the vehicle. I have been given no notification that they are going to release the funds to me. I am under the impression that NU vision is going to keep the insurance money or give it to the dealership and cut me out of the process .Jeanine Corpuz VP Consumer Lending, informed me that she would not be able to do anything about this situation.Desired Outcome: I want the insurance money that is owed to me because I had to take a loss on the trade in. The dealership I went to accepted the vehicle as-is and and I want the money sent directly to me to compensate for the loss I had to take because I could not repair the vehicle.
Regards,
[redacted]

NU Vision holds the lien to my vehicle. I had hail damage to my vehicle in March of 2015. I did not have time to give the vehicle over to the shop in March, so the insurance company sent the insurance check to NU Vision. It has been 8 months and NU Vision has done nothing with the money. It is still on the account as permanent hold.If NU Vision is not going to release the funds to me I want the funds applied to the loan. I want the funds applied to the loan on the date that NU Vision took the money from the Insurance company. I want the amount applied to the principle back dating to April of 2015.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Nu Vision has been in contact with me and they are trying to help me get the issues resolved, but there are many issues that need attention.  I was sent a letter in the mail saying that there would be a release of 3492.01 dollars to purchase replacement parts.  That is great but I need access to the money in the account, not just a check made out to 2 people.  I can make a list of the items needed and the prices and the online stores that have the required items and then Nu Vision can make the purchases if they need to be in control of the money.  I do not have a problem with that.  I also had a rental car lined up for the time the EM Collision shop was going to do the work.  I had to return the rental car and now I need money to pay for the rental because my policy is rental reimbursement at $15 a day.  I need access to the rental car money in order to have the shop do the body work.  I can get a detailed list of parts and stores that carry the parts and Nu Vision can order the parts while we wait to see who is going to pay for the rental car.  I do not think that Nu Vision understands what a cluster of a mess they have caused me here.

In response to [redacted] M. [redacted] concerns regarding his insurance claim on vehicle held ascollateral by NuVision [redacted].?? Release of Funds?? Funds held for 2 months?? Rental Car?? Money out of PocketMr. [redacted] contacted NuVision [redacted] on or around April 28, 2015...

requestingthat NuVision [redacted] provide documentation to release our interest in a checkthat had been deposited into his bank account, which had required our endorsement andsubsequently had not been endorsed by us, as we had no knowledge of the check until hecontacted us for this request. The check had been issued by Mr. [redacted]’s insurancecompany, [redacted], in response to the claim he had filed due to hail damage to his vehicle, thesame vehicle that NuVision [redacted] holds as collateral on a loan. The 2 partycheck issued by [redacted] on 4/21/2015, check number [redacted] in the amount of $6984.02,was payable to [redacted]/Stacey [redacted] and NuVision [redacted], andwithout our endorsement the bank could not process with documentation from NuVision[redacted] releasing our interest in the check. Since the check was for repairs to avehicle in which NuVision [redacted] was the Legal Owner and held as collateral fora loan, we were not able to provide documentation releasing our interest in the check. As it was explained to Mr. [redacted] at the time, any check issued for the purpose of repairson collateral that NuVision Federal Credit is the Legal Owner and/or holds as collateral for aloan, this check would need to be deposited into his account with NuVision Federal CreditUnion with a hold until said time the repairs to the collateral were completed. Once therepairs are completed, a copy of the invoice from the Licensed Repair shop would besubmitted to NuVision [redacted], along with a copy of the Insurance SettlementStatement issued by [redacted], and then NuVision [redacted] would issue a new 2-party check payable to Mr. [redacted] and the Licensed Repair Shop.Mr. [redacted] contacted NuVision [redacted] on June 18, 2015, stating that he had acheck for the repairs to be completed to his vehicle and he wanted to send the check to usand for us to endorsement and then return the endorsed check to him. It was explained toMr. [redacted] that the check would be deposited into his account with NuVision Federal CreditUnion with a hold, until such time that the repairs were completed and an Invoice from theLicensed Repair Shop was received, along with a copy of the Settlement Statement issued by[redacted], at which time NuVision [redacted] would issue a new 2 party check payableto Mr. [redacted] and the Licensed Repair Shop, and the check would be FedEx to him to giveto the repair shop, once he had inspected the vehicle and found the repairs to hissatisfaction, it was explained to him, that is the reason that NuVision [redacted]issues the check as a 2-party check, as it protects the Repair Shop, Mr. [redacted] and NuVision[redacted]. The repair shop is paid, the repairs are done to Mr. [redacted]’ssatisfaction and NuVision [redacted]’s collateral is made whole. Mr. [redacted] wasconcerned about having to use funds out of his pocket, so it was then explained that anythingover and above the amount of the claim check would be his responsibility, which couldinclude his deductible, having taken the vehicle to a repair shop that charged higher ratesthan the insurance estimate, or having additional work done to the vehicle. [redacted] hadissued a check in the amount of $6984.02, which is the amount they estimated the repairs at,minus his deductible, so any cost over the $6,984.02 would be his responsibility. He then requested that he wanted us to send him part of the funds from the claim check, sothat he could pay for a rental car, it was explained to him that the funds from the claimcheck were only for the repairs of the vehicle and not for a rental car, and he was advised tocontact his Insurance Company regarding the rental car. He then stated that he would mailthe check, and NuVision [redacted] requested that he also include a copy of theInsurance Settlement Statement issued by [redacted], he stated he did not have an SettlementStatement issued by [redacted], but provide NuVision [redacted] his claims agentinformation so that NuVision [redacted] could request a copy.On June 23, 2015 check # [redacted] dated June 8, 2015 in the amount of $6,984.02 wasreceived and deposited to Mr. [redacted]’s savings on hold until NuVision [redacted]has received an Invoice from a Licensed Repair Shop and a copy of the Insurance SettlementStatement, at which time NuVision [redacted] will issue a 2-party check payable tothe Repair Shop and Mr. [redacted].On June 25, 2015, NuVision [redacted] contacted [redacted], Mr. [redacted]’s insurancecompany and requested a copy of the Settlement Statement, we also advised [redacted] ofMr. [redacted]’s concern regarding his rental car, at which time [redacted] explained to NuVision[redacted], that if the [redacted] policy has rental car coverage, that [redacted] has directbilling set up with Enterprise Rental Car, which was the company that Mr. [redacted] said hehad been talking to. Since Mr. [redacted] had not yet contacted [redacted] regarding the rentalcar, [redacted] contacted Mr. [redacted], and per email sent to NuVision [redacted] by[redacted], [redacted] had contacted Mr. [redacted] and “clarified that the check issued to NuVisiondoes not cover rental, only the cost of repairs. I advised Mr. [redacted] that Enterprisedirectly bills [redacted] for rental costs”.As of July 3, 2015, Mr. [redacted] has not contacted NuVision [redacted] with thestatus of the repairs to the vehicle.

We have reviewed our member’s statement.  Per our member’s statement he declared a dealer had paid off his loan, however, that is not the case, there has been no funds paid on his loan since October 30, 2015.  Until the loan is paid in full we are unable to release any of the repair claim settlement. NuVision does not retain any funds from an insurance repair claim settlement once a loan is paid in full unless the insurance funds are designated, by our member, to a repair company or dealership for services/repairs rendered.  We are looking forward to resolving this issue shortly. NuVision hasreached out to our member and waiting to speak with him and has also reached out to the dealer to resolve this issue.  Thank you,[redacted]Voice of the Member AnalystNuVision Federal Credit Unionwww.nuvisionfederal.orgp: (800) 444-6327 x[redacted]f: (714) 375-8618email: [redacted]

The funds from the Insurance company went to them because I was not in town to get the vehicle fixed at the time they sent the funds.Desired Outcome: I want the funds applied to the principle of the loan on the date that NUVision took the funds into their institution. I want the remaining balance sent to me or released into my account. the amount is 9,243.07.
