NV Creative Firm Reviews (%countItem)

I hired NV Design on Dec. 14 to create two websites and a logo for my emerging speaking and patient advocacy businesses. Nichol V. asked for $3000 down. She sent me a proposal. She never sent a contract. She moved very quickly to show me logos. Four days later on Dec. 18 she asked for $300 for hosting (although I had already paid hosting for the year for Blue hosting, she said her hosting was necessary). Then on Dec. 21 she said that it was important to pay the account in full, so I paid another $1,500. Now, on April 5, 2019, I still have not even one website. Additionally, on Dec. 27 she sent me an additional bill for $650 for a "printing package" which I refused to pay for as I never agreed to this.
I have reached out to her several times. I have waited, believing it was only a matter of time, but after 4 months and no deliverables, this is not a tolerable situation.

expressed her desire to want to have a presence for her public speaking and she needed two different websites that provided different messages as well as services. Our websites usually start at $6,000.00 and we finish them within a matter of weeks. We have excellent reviews from all of our clients who we do the exact same scope of work with. I, as the owner, elected to give her a discount her projects to $4,800.00 for a new logo for each site as well as two websites since she was a sibling of one of my dearest friends. We do not work with contracts, we work with Expectation Agreements. Our company policy is always to collect the balance upon delivering the preview link for the website and in this case, that is what we did. Again, this is our policy that works with all of our clients as we present our intellectual property, work and design upon giving the client access to the link. As we moved forward, a day or two after we were hired, she was provided over 24 logo designs to choose from by our NV team. *** went out of town at least four or five times while we have worked on her projects. We have asked for spreadsheets of content for EACH business because they are separate and she sends emails in bulk, late at night and it is all very unorganized. We didn't know which picture or content went with what site so we asked for a spreadsheet. We have never received what we have asked for.

Will have to attach a word doc to complete this...

Customer Response • Apr 26, 2019

Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because:

The business is in full possession of both $4800 and the unfinished website. The business has made no attempt to offer a solution and has never offered access to the website server. Anyone can see that the website is not complete. The business has had no incentive to complete the website since requiring to be paid in full in December.

I ask the business (or the Revdex.com) to come to a resolution of this matter. If the business owner does not offer to resolve the dispute after these multiple communications, I ask that the Revdex.com please move to arbitration.

My offers for resolution are:

1. The business refunds $4,300 (The full purchase price minus $500 for time spent). The customer will start over with another provider; OR

2. The business refunds $2,400 and provides login information and full access to the current website, which will be completed by another provider. The customer will retain the option to use the logo and start with the current unfinished website.

I retained the services of NV Design in December and paid in full by Dec. 21, 2018. I have had full motivation to cooperate and complete the website, as I have been waiting to launch a speaking/consulting business as a Patient Advocate. My intention was a completed website in January. It is now almost May. That an individual business owner would be able to justify taking $4,800 from a client without delivering a completed product or service shows a lack of integrity that is shocking and disappointing.

Sincerely

We have been completely intentional in finishing Ms. websites. There are two that she got for a completely reduced fee. She hired us in December and is expecting or was expecting the sites to be done in January? That is an impossibility for any provider, especially when we have not received what we have asked for.

I told *** several weeks ago that we are at a point where we have spent so much time developing TWO websites, with dozens of logos for her. We have been at a stand still in finishing both sites because she has not gotten us what we need.

We would not, nor have not ever taken money and NOT completed our work. Again, our 5 star reviews and A plus rating with the Revdex.com reflect this. This client is no exception as far as finishing the work. We have offered to finish both sites for her to get her ready for her new endeavors. She has made the decision to quit in the middle of our projects and NOT get us the information in which we have asked for.

It is beyond to me, as the owner, to believe that a full or partial refund is justified when we have made so many efforts to resolve this, get information and to complete our work. Especially when we gave her dozens of logo designs to choose from, two framework websites for less than the price of our normal sites. We did this as a favor for a friend on referral.

We are respectfully willing to give her the art files, both of the frameworks to the TWO sites and she can have her developer finish since she has chosen electively not to work with my team or company. We are happy to do that so our work is not done in vain. It is not our issue that Mrs. decided to travel four different times during this process, have an elective surgery and became unavailable to pay attention nor provide what we have asked for and needed.

We feel that this is fair to give her the work we have already done. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
