Review: NVC, Inc. installed a new roof for me. Eight months later it leaked and caused damage to the inside of my home. After contacting NVC, Inc. he had his men come "fix" the leak. After asking if they were going to cover the cost of the repairs to the inside of the house he started back peddling. He came up with some crazy story so that the blame wasn't on their faulty workmanship. I had two other contractors (recommended by the Revdex.com) come to my home and recommend the entire roof be replaced due to extensive installation problems. There are too many to list with the limited amount of characters I have here. Needless to say, after I contacted them they still stood their ground saying it had to do with my gutters backing up to RECORD amounts of snow and ice in my area. Just so you know, we had maybe 4" of snow all winter. Both of the contractors that came to my house did a thorough inspection on my roof and said it had nothing to do with my gutters that it was due to not installing ice and water shield in the valleys. As I said this is only ONE problem with the installation. There are SEVERAL others. Please, please, please do yourself a favor and do not trust ANYTHING this man says. After investigation I found that his license was terminated and he isn't licensed at all in ** where I live. Also, I really have no recourse since I also found out that due to major IRS problems he has nothing in his name so getting anything from him will be slim to none. Sad, very sad. And to top it off, I've known him and his family for over 30 years and he and his wife are the godparents to my oldest son. So, please share this with anyone you know that may be considering getting a new roof.Desired Settlement: I am just asking for the cost of repair/replacement by contractor of my choice. I don't trust him as far as I can spit and to pay for the approximately $3,000 of damage it did to the inside of my home.
