I GIVE THIS COMPANY AN 'F': When looking for an affordable place to live within my son's school district, I met an NVest Realty Manager, who showed the place to me Before going in, he explained that he hadn't been there since the former tenants had moved out; I immediately asked questions prior to going in:
1) if screens and storm windows would be put on (as the front windows were missing these), he confirmed that yes, of course they would I accepted the lease under the condition that the verbal agreement by the manager would be met I was told that the screens were on order (for months) I have lived there for nearly years, and STILL don't have screens or storm windows, regardless of my persistent requests both verbally and in writing
2) if he knew the Average Monthly cost of the Utilities He had a print out of the prior year bills that averaged $65-per month What he failed to mention was that he only showed me the ELECTRIC bill, and that this location actually used two separate Utility companies (one for electric and the other for Water, Swer, Gas, etc) The average cost of utilities ran closer to $200/mth; this amount could have been much less, had the company installed the promised screens on the windows, so I could open windows in the Spring and Fall
The incompentance of this company continues to baffle me! They have had different managers in the year that I've rented from them Not only would I not recommend this company, I would strongly encourage you to RUN the opposite direction...take your time to look into the company to whom you will pay your hard earned money to, and hope that they don't call themselves a "PROPERTY MANAGEMENT" company, when really they are just a middle man that couldn't care less for their tenants
I have never had such an unprofessional experience with a group of people in Management EVER I recently paid a partial rent payment ($300) via the online Tentant Portal (as is encouraged by NVest), and when I tried to pay the remaining balance ($200) days later, via the SAME method, the system declined to accept my payment So I wrote a check and dropped it by their ofc, with a written explaination of their Online Error in not accepting payment, hence the check dropped off at the ofc; they charged me a 10% Late Fee anyway
Afterward, I called numerous times leaving messages with other staff, a voice mail to the owner & speaking to the owner directly, each time requesting they remove the penalty due to it being their system error that wouldn't accept my payment The owner declined to remove the charge It wasn't so much the minimal $fee, but rather the principle of the matter I was told a year and half ago I would have screens put on my windows, yet they never followed thru (again, despite numerous efforts on my part to remind them of their verbal agreement to do so) Their system failed to accept my payment, and I had left numerous messages with NO return call or explainationI finally reached the owner again on 10/19/16, but he spoke to me as if I were just an ignorant woman that he needed to speak in small words or draw me a picture so I could understand I paid the disputed $fee immediately and it is obvious that this company cares nothing for thier tenants, repairs, or even the home owners (after reading other Reviews) DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!
I have been lied to by at least managers AND the owner, regarding repairs that I have reported needing to be addressed, including the screens and storm windows that I was told prior to moving in, they would be replaced, yet a year and a half later, I still don't have either (the first months, I was told that they were on order), only to find that since they are just a Property Management Company, they aren't responsible for putting screens on the windows, even though I was told by the Manager that this would be taken care of by my move in date They state now that the owners don't want to invest in putting screens on the windows
