Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: 1) The threats to send me to collections to hit my credit score gave me the option to either pay the clinic now and battle for a refund (saving an inappropriate hit to my credit), or be sent to collections and still have to battle 2) I did NOT pay any collections agencyI paid the allergy clinic directly via phone (and still have not received payment confirmation from them) 3) To the best of my knowledge, what I filed with the insurance was the proper appealI was out of country several times between the sending of documents from the clinic telling me to file the appeal (this is after I was told by email from George A [redacted] that his staff would help me appeal and by Nancy that their office staff would handle the appeal for me *Page of attached document)I also had a change of address as I moved in that same response window (I had all mail forwarded by USPS promptly)Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
1) The threats to send me to collections to hit my credit score gave me the option to either pay the clinic now and battle for a refund (saving an inappropriate hit to my credit), or be sent to collections and still have to battle.
2) I did NOT pay any collections agency. I paid the allergy clinic directly via phone (and still have not received payment confirmation from them).
3) To the best of my knowledge, what I filed with the insurance was the proper appeal. I was out of country several times between the sending of documents from the clinic telling me to file the appeal (this is after I was told by email from George A[redacted] that his staff would help me appeal and by Nancy that their office staff would handle the appeal for me *Page 2 of attached document). I also had a change of address as I moved in that same response window (I had all mail forwarded by USPS promptly). Sincerely,[redacted]

[redacted] Came to Allergy and Asthma Centers of the NW in June of 2014 for allergy testing and opted for immunotherapy. We billed his insurance for the office visit, testing, and making of the serum. His insurance paid based upon the terms of the insurance contract. A portion of this bill was applied...

to his co-insurance responsibility by his insurance company. We are then obligated to bill the patient for their portion of the co-insurance. This is where the bill for over $500.00 came from. From 2/2/2015 through 2016 [redacted] was billed 9 times for the 2014 charges. [redacted] called and left several messages asking for the charges to be explained to him. In October of 2015, the billing assistant did an audit of his charges and wrote a letter to fully explain the charges as well as clear up any misunderstanding on [redacted]'s part. [redacted] did not agree to the charges and became verbally explicit as to how he felt about the bill. He refused to pay and requested to speak to Dr A[redacted] and the billing manager, Kinana. The billing assistant then communicated [redacted]'s request for direct communication. Due to the fact that [redacted] had used profanity on multiple occasions, Dr A[redacted] wrote [redacted] a letter. There was no response from [redacted]. Kinana then sent [redacted] a follow up letter explaining the appeal process. It is against the law to write off charges his insurance company has designated as his responsibility to pay. More time went by. [redacted] called to see how his appeal was going. It was explained to him by the billing assistant that he had to be the one to initiate the appeal. [redacted] again became verbally abusive and threatened to take the situation to the media and to the Revdex.com. Several messages were left for [redacted] regarding the appeal process. [redacted] called several times asking to speak to Dr A[redacted] or the billing manager. Ultimately, [redacted] was asked to communicate with Dr A[redacted] in writing. Lengthy conversations have been documented between [redacted] and Dr A[redacted]. [redacted] told Dr A[redacted] that if he did not make the charges go away he would file a complaint with the Revdex.com.  Dr A[redacted] asked [redacted] if he had filed an appeal with his insurance company. [redacted] said he had and sent Dr A[redacted] a copy of a letter from his insurance company. The letter was an acceptance of a grievance filed against Dr A[redacted] and the practice. [redacted] had waited to long to file an appeal and that window had closed. [redacted] then requested all of the documents Dr A[redacted] had proving he actually owed the money. Dr A[redacted] provided all of the documents within 24 hours of the request. A week later [redacted] paid his bill to the collection agency.
