I reject his explanation
My claim against HED NW is for one light housing. The other housing was damaged by his work as
well but it was too hard to prove.
Non-the less I had both headlight housings replaced. The smoking gun was in the smoky lens
I did bring in the
car with LED headlights installed by another shopOne of the headlights was
out. I asked him if he could put in
halogens temporarily until he got in HIDs that would fit the car. It was within this period of one week when I
was driving around with HID NW temporary
installation of the halogen bulbs that one of the halogen bulbs went out
This halogen bulb going out was the direct result of his
poor installation of the bulb. The bulb
was not seated properly, fell back in the housing and burned plastic that
smoked the plastic lens. If HID NW could
not properly install a halogen bulb that burns very hot it should have told me
to go to a dealer The fact that the business admits to claiming that the smoke
was condensation is a testimony to their credibility not to mention there culpability! Contrary to the
businesses claim,I did not agree that the smoky lens that I observed, after
the halogens were removed and he installed the HID’s, was the result of
condensation.
He knew full well that the smoke was not condensation. I rejected the idea of him taking out my
headlight at that moment because I didn’t want this man to touch my car again
He also installed new fog lamps that caused my warning light
to come on permanently. I explained to
him that I did not like having a warning light on all the time. He gave me some explanation that I don’t
recall but seemed to indicate that the warning light would eventually
disappear. Then those HID fog lamps
failed shortly thereafter They were flickering.This is when I went to my local dealer and asked for help
That the business claims there was missing a part was not my
problem nor really my concern. It is up
to the business to make a judicious decision as to whether to proceed with a
job and do it well or not proceed if the business ascertains they cannot do the
job safely and correctly. I am the
customer not the technicianIt is not my job to make this judgment call.
The dealer in fact later told me there was not missing a part or parts.
The smoky plastic in
the Headlight housing was a direct result of this businesses shoddy and
fly-by-night temporary installation of the halogen bulbThis could have potentially
caught my new car on fire and totaled my vehicle. I want a refund

more perfected resultsTo recall this BMW correctly it came in originally with an LED kit installed by a company in the mid east and was brought in because a headlight had gone outIt was also missing the retaining clips for the hstyle bulbOne headlight did get a little bit of smoke inside from melting plastic(this would not cause a fire) It was offered to take the headlight out to *** it which would have cost $125, but was rejected and said to be OK by customerWe both agreed at first that it could be condensation amd maybe would burn offNext thing we know customer comes back with TWO brand new headlights from dealerAt that point there is nothing much we could doRegardless as we said before we appreciate the feedback and will make sure to always live up to the highest standard of reliability and functionTHANKS!!

Review: I had to replace an entire headlight housing at a cost from the dealer of $1200 on my 2014 BMW because this guy said he knew what he was doing. His workcaused a halogen bulb to fall back in the light housing, melted plastic, smoked the cars lens, and could have resulted in a car fire. When the job was completed he pointed out that the lens on the car was clouded but said it was condensation. another thing, when I was leaving I ran over hose and nozzle he had left out in a public lot and he charged me the cost of the nozzle, $10. He asked if I wanted to pay cash, I wouldn't pay tax. I did paid $220 cash, and did not get a receipt. my mistake.when I asked for my money back he refused. He acknowledged the work was his. I have a audio recording of our last conversation when I asked for a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like my $220 dollars back.

It was also missing the retaining clips for the h7 style bulb. One headlight did get a little bit of smoke inside from melting plastic. (this would not cause a fire) It was offered to take the headlight out to [redacted] it which would have cost $125, but was rejected and said to be OK by customer. We both agreed at first that it could be condensation amd maybe would burn off. Next thing we know customer comes back with TWO brand new headlights from dealer. At that point there is nothing much we could do. Regardless as we said before we appreciate the feedback and will make sure to always live up to the highest standard of reliability and function. THANKS!!
