We are sorry to hear [redacted] fells this way , But we have gone over her contract and you had originally stated you have items As when the men and truck arrived at her home she had items As a result of doubling the items there was of course additional fees .This is why we have our reps call our customers and get an inventory of items so we may quote them accordingly Now once in a while a customer might have forgotten a items or two , which we understand because moving is very stressful and a few things might be overlooked Now when this does happen we don't charge any additional feesBut in [redacted] s case there was an additional items , unfortunately this can not have been overlookedThank you ,NY Budget Movers LLC

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: They are continuing to lie, and it is very upsetting! As stated, many times, when the list in the contract was written, there was a very clear conversation between ***, the representative and myself She told me to just take a guess as to what I will have because she had to write something and asked me to inform her if that list changes I informed her exactly with what I had packed, I updated her almost daily and made it very clear what was to be moved and she assured me the price would stay the same I was VERY specific, in fact the inventory list is also inaccurate because most of those boxes are very small boxesThe table is a tiny serving table that was taken apart (not by movers)and small enough to fit in a pillow case, and the filing cabinet is one drawerThe wardrobe box was empty, and the movers put some of the small boxes and vacuum cleaner in itThe majority of them were the kind that fit bottles of wine I will see if I still have a photo The day of the move, they threatened to walk out on me knowing perfectly well I had no choice but to be out of the apartment THAT day, and knowing I would not find a moving company on the same day that late in the afternoon (they showed up hours after they were suppose to) They told me to sign the paper agreeing to the new price or they would leave I was crying, and upset and extremely stressed out by the horrible attitude of the foreman I called [redacted] and she told me that he charges whatever he wants and she has no say in it They added on fee's without explaining, and some fee's were completely ridiculous, for example, $for parking feet from front door instead of directly in front because the foreman did not feel like moving the truck Those were his words he also admitted to me and my friend that was there with me that the company does this almost everyday, they give one price over the phone and it ends up being a lot moreAnd it is clearly true based on ALL the other on line reviews of people who experienced the same thing. Not one thing that I wrote on any public forum was falsei explained what happened 100% accurately, and after contacting the owner and him giving me a horrible attitude and hanging up on me and expressing myself in an e mail after it wasteh move was completed and receiving NO response, it is my right to explain my situation on any public forumIt is unprofessional to PROMISE someone over the phone knowing exactly what will be moved one price and then showing up on moving day LATE, with an attitude and threatening to leave I i don't agree to pay 50% more than what was promised. It is also illegal to try to force me to sign a document stating that I received all of my stuff and nothing was missing or broken and that the truck has been inspected for anything left behind BEFORE even opening the truck to let me see that my stuff was on it!, and threatening to bring my stuff back to NJ/NY and charge me for storage fees if I did not agreeMoving is a very stressful time, it was suppose to be a very happy time for me, and instead, because of this company I lost a LOT of money, it caused me so much stress that it led to me getting ill I lost work, and instead of an apology this company is harassing me, writing me fake e mails and continuing to lie about what happened and continuing to do the same thing to other people (according to recent yelp reviews) Sincerely, [redacted]

The absolute worst experience I have ever had in my life dealing with a businessIt was a classic bait and switch move by the company, to the worst extent imaginableThey promised a low price with a binding contact to which I chose over the other companiesThe woman I dealt with assured me that the reason it was lower is because of a special deal she was offering for that time of year
Every interaction was difficultFrom getting the emails and contract she promised, to sending of the Certification of Insurance which I had requested and she had promised that it was simple and part of the processShe insisted that everything was included and that there would be no additional charges
The day of the delivery, hours before it was supposed to be delivered, was on a Saturday afternoon She informed me that the quote had doubled: from $to $3200; and that I had to pay cash upon deliverySince it was in the afternoon on Saturday and no banks were open, ATM limits weren't high enough, and I was given absolutely zero notice regarding the cash only "policy", I did not have that amount of cash availableAfter debating and debating the charges she just said that there was nothing she could do because "she wasn't at the truck"...although the company in whole had promised me the price and promised there would be no additional chargesI was completely exhausted by dealing with this conversation and just wanted my belongingsI said I would dispute the charges but needed all of my things since I was moving that day
She refused to take any payment on credit card, debit card, check, or any other method I said I could easily useShe demanded that I get money in cash or my things would not be deliveredI begged and pleaded different ways this could be handledI had to call the police department to see what I could do about my stuff being held hostageIt was the most miserable experience I have ever dealt with in any companyThey held all of our belongings hostage for days until the banks opened and then they could staff someone to bring my thingsThey tried to charge me the cost for storage and extra delivery!
I can't say enough awful things about dealing with this companyIt is truly a criminal operation in which they are runningI would guess they put down in their financial books the amount the quote to customers, and then pocket the other half under the tableIt was an incredibly terrible experience and I would hate to see another person going through thisI have done research on this company and it appears this is their standard way of operating and dealing with their customers

This is in respond to complaint: [redacted] originally contacted us about moving : 6 small book boxes Dining room chairs 1 china cabinet Love seat Sofa...

And dining table And was informed this is just an estimate on CF (cubic feet), and only an estimate which is clearly stated on top of his email. He was also informed that he is responsible for any additional CF, and must have everything packed ready to go. If needed, we do provide boxes and crates at an additional fee. Packing materials are not included. [redacted] accumulated 100 additional CF because his inventory taken over the phone was different when we arrived at his location. He had stated he has 6 small book boxes and we transported 6 large over weight boxes (100+ lbs.). Which contributed to additional space .Overweight charges were waved as a courtesy. He purchased 2 picture boxes and requested 1x large crating of his china cabinet. Also additional. He also forgot to mention that there is a walking distance of 250 + feet from where we are authorized to park our truck to the entrance of building. This caused accumulation of time and labor for the men who have to carry 100+ lbs. boxes over a distance of 250 feet. Please keep in mind the first 75 feet are free. If [redacted] was honest about the size of boxes, weight, the 2 extra arm chairs, and distance … he would have been quoted accurately. Now the only additional charges he accumulated are: add. CF in result of added inventory, long carry of 250 feet, and the packing he requested (crating, etc.). He also required use of our storage for 40 days because he was still in NY and was unable to take delivery in FL. The storage fee was also waived, and finally delivered 2-*-15. We did everything possible to help him by waiving a lot of the fees, but he hide a lot of the facts concerning his move.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The 25 items that are on the contract were discussed as an estimate.  Every time I added an item, I spoke with [redacted], the sales representative, I was very specific about what I had and she reassured me that the price would not go up because I was still within the 300 cubic feet as stated on the contract.  I did not go over 300 cubic feet.  I counted my items and told [redacted] when I finished packing what I had, I asked specifically after reading the bad reviews if the same thing wold happen to me.  [redacted] reassured me that I will not have to pay more than the $986.00 as quoted on contract. In addition as stated before.  The driver arrived several hours late.  he charged me extra for long haul which was not necessary because there was a giant parking space directly in front of my building.  he told me he didnt feel like moving the truck and even if he did he would still charge extra just because he feels like it.  I was also PROMISED a delivery date, verbal guarantee by [redacted] and the main foreman, and I lost days of work because the truck didnt even leave NY until several days AFTER what the  delivery date was suppose to be.  On top of that I had several broken items. And finally, I was asked to pay balance in cash up front before even knowing that my items were on the truck.  This company threatened to bring my stuff back to NY and pay for storage if I didn't sign a paper that stated I received everything in good condition and inspected the truck, BEFORE they would even open the truck and let me see that my stuff is actually there.  This is illegal!!  When I brought up all of my issues to the owner, I received a very nasty attitude.  So no, this issue most certainly is NOT resolved.

NY Budget Movers is a moving company; we help relocate customer’s household items. We start off by contacting the customer and asking them to describe the items in their home they wish to relocate as well as how many boxes are expected. At this point they are to inform us of any additional items that will need to be added, as well as there will be additional charges in result of additional CF (Cubic Feet).Based on this list [redacted] provided an estimated price. [redacted] was then e-mailed with everything the customer rep spoke of, which also describes her inventory that she stated she was moving. Inventory List provided by [redacted] :10 med boxes 18x18x184 med/lg boxes 18x18x248 small boxes 12x12x18 1 mirror 1 flat screen TV 1 end tableThe list of actual items requested to be transported on the day of move.3 med boxes 18x18x1842 large boxes 18x18x241 large wardrobe box1 file cabinet 1 vacuum1 table 1 iron board She clearly stated she has 22 regular size boxes but , she actually had 45 large boxes !!!Now prior to loading or moving any further with the move , the onsite supervisor informed her of the extra charges due to the extra CF resulting from the extra items, as he verbally informed her he requested that she writes down in her own words in writing that she is agreeing to the new price .[redacted] was upset about the price change, but could have canceled at anytime. After delivering [redacted]’s items to her new location in Florida she has gone on a rampage, and has slandered our company name on all social media websites. Knowingly [redacted] has been falsifying statements on these social media’s when she already was aware that the inventory list she provided was inaccurate. [redacted] was also very well aware that there was a price change once we got to her home prior to any services being rendered.

The table is a tiny serving table that was taken apart (not by movers)and small enough to fit in a pillow case, and the filing cabinet is one drawer. The wardrobe box was empty, and the movers put some of the small boxes and vacuum cleaner in it. The majority of them were the kind that fit bottles 9 of wine.  I will see if I still have a photo.
The day of the move, they threatened to walk out on me knowing perfectly well I had no choice but to be out of the apartment THAT day, and knowing I would not find a moving company on the same day that late in the afternoon (they showed up hours after they were suppose to).  They told me to sign the paper agreeing to the new price or they would leave.  I was crying, and upset and extremely stressed out by the horrible attitude of the foreman.  I called [redacted] and she told me that he charges whatever he wants and she has no say in it.  They added on fee's without explaining, and some fee's were completely ridiculous, for example, $200 for parking 50 feet from front door instead of directly in front because the foreman did not feel like moving the truck.  Those were his words.  he also admitted to me and my friend that was there with me that the company does this almost everyday, they give one price over the phone and it ends up being a lot more. And it is clearly true based on ALL the other on line reviews of people who experienced the same thing. Not one thing that I wrote on any public forum was false. I explained what happened 100% accurately, and after contacting the owner and him giving me a horrible attitude and hanging up on me and expressing myself in an e mail after it wasteh move was completed and receiving NO response, it is my right to explain my situation on any public forum.
It is unprofessional to PROMISE someone over the phone knowing exactly what will be moved one price and then showing up on moving day LATE, with an attitude and threatening to leave I i don't agree to pay 50% more than what was promised. It is also illegal to try to force me to sign a document stating that I received all of my stuff and nothing was missing or broken and that the truck has been inspected for anything left behind BEFORE even opening the truck to let me see that my stuff was on it!, and threatening to bring my stuff back to NJ/NY and charge me for storage fees if I did not agree.
Moving is a very stressful time, it was suppose to be a very happy time for me, and instead, because of this company I lost a LOT of money, it caused me so much stress that it led to me getting ill I lost work, and instead of an apology this company is harassing me, writing me fake e mails and continuing to lie about what happened and continuing to do the same thing to other people (according to recent yelp reviews).

Excellent, prompt service. My things were picked up and delivered on time. Would recommend to anyone looking to move!

Review: I was looking for a moving company to move a few pieces of furniture from my Dads house in Moosic, PA to my Daughter in Sandy Springs Georgia. A few moving companies sent me e-mail on my request. I then called Budget Moves and spoke with a woman named hayley who gave me a price and went over everything included in the move. I called her back a few days later to confirm the truck and gave a 400 deposit. The price was 1032.00. The next payment would be when they picked up the furniture in PA. I drove in PA and met the mover yesterday . I had everything ready for them. I was told that the mover would disassemble the table and put blankets around the furniture free of charge. I took photos of everything that I had all ready to go. When the mover came in he proceeded to tape the 4 boxes I had and tagged them. He covered the furniture and loaded the truck. I had one dining room table, 1 hutch, 6 chairs. one rocking chair, one vanity table. I tv stand and 4 boxes. it took him over 2 hours to load the truck. When he came in after the truck was loaded he told me I had to sign the paperwork and give him 900. I told him he needed to call the company because that was not the price they gave me. He said they wouldn't be able to do anything until today because they needed the paperwork sent to them and he drove away with the stuff. I called and spoke to Jessica who said hayley was no longer there and I had to give them 900 in cash or a check. I told her she needed to speak with someone because that was not what I was told by hayley. she told me she would call the owner. She called me back today as I was driving back to RI and said I have to pay the 900 and I need to get to a chase bank and deposit the money in their account. I told her I have no problem paying what I was told but I am not paying the extra. She called me a liar and told me that she was not going to talk to me again, and that I could not talk to the owner because she was in charge. She will not tell me where the furniture is. the only thing she said is it is at their warehouse and no one was there I could talk to. I am to say the least very upset, because they lied and now they are trying to get more money and the furniture they have was my parents and was supposed to go to my daughter.Desired Settlement: I want the Company to honor the price I was told and deliver the furniture to my daughter without any other incidents.

Review: I first spoke with [redacted] who was so sweet and pleasant and quoted me $986 for up to 300 cubic feet from ** to [redacted]. I told her I wasn't finished packing and didn't know what I would end up with so she just gave an estimate. I later read reviews saying they will charge so much more than the estimate and it raised a concern which I expressed to [redacted] was reassuring and said the only way the price would be more would be if I went over the 300 c.f. or at the last minute added bulky furniture. I told her I had more boxes than originally estimated and she said don't worry it sounds like you have way under and can keep adding stuff. I told her when I finished packing exactly how many item I ended up with and she again reassured me that the price would not go up.

So, moving day finally comes and the guys walk in 4 hours late and instantly look around and tell me that it's going to be $200 more for long-haul because there was no parking directly in front of my building and it would be another hundred or two to put a box around my TV and he will give me a flat rate of $1500. I had a really big argument with the guy and after some back and forth he ended up walking out on me telling me to find another company because I said it was ridiculous going from $986 to $1500 when I was very specific with the office with the items that I had and I was nowhere near 300 cubic feet. So after he left I just stood there in shock and crying and called the office to speak with [redacted]. She said I'm so sorry I can't believe that happened let me try to fix this and called the [redacted] to make him come back ...however there was nothing she could do about the price she said the [redacted] decides and all they can do is take $25 off to make it an even flat rate of 1475. So they made me sign a paper saying that I need to pay the 1475 or they will leave and I had no choice because I had to be out of my apartment that day and was not going to find another mover at the last minute. While that was happening the parking spot in front of my building reserved for movers opened up and I ask the [redacted] to move the truck so I didn't have to pay the extra 200 dollars for the long haul, he told me he didn't feel like moving the truck to the front of the building and even if he did I already signed the paper agreeing to pay the flat rate so it didn't matter if he moved the truck . So finally when they finished I signed inventory paper and asked again when my stuff will arrive because the office told me [redacted] or [redacted] at the very latest. The [redacted] told me the same, I asked to put it in writing but he said "come on we already wasted so much time there is no reason your stuff won't arrive by [redacted], it will be there don't worry". I packed my computers with them and I work from home on my computers so I needed to be sure.

So on [redacted] I called the moving company, and I asked when they were coming, they told me [redacted] and they said they would call the next day to confirm a time. Towards the end of the day when I didn't hear from them I called again and I was transferred to dispatch. Dispatch was really nasty and told me that the truck has not even left [redacted] yet because they need to fill it up before they go to [redacted] they said maybe they will leave on [redacted]. I , of course had another argument with them and they told me that they have up to 21 days to deliver my stuff and it's all in the fine print. After many attempts of calling them back after they hung up on me I finally spoke with a man who claims to be the [redacted] of the company. I had a 20 minute conversation with him asking him to make this right explaining my situation and my concerns and he was nastier than anybody else I have dealt with. He told me I signed the papers and there's nothing that I can do he said nobody put a gun to my head and forced me to sign the paper and he said that I am lucky that he is not making me wait 21 days. He also told me that maybe he can give me a five or a $6 discount but he cannot guarantee that and when I mentioned that I was losing days of work he told me I should be working from my cell phone he eventually hung up on me as well.

So on [redacted] I tried to call them again to confirm that my items were leaving on [redacted] I left a few messages [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted]. They finally returned my call on [redacted] telling me that the truck left on [redacted] night and would most likely be here on [redacted].

So on [redacted], the movers showed up in the [redacted] (6 Days after my verbal guarantee by [redacted] and [redacted] in [redacted]) I had a 350 dollar balance which I really did not want to pay them but they refused to even open the truck until they received a 350 dollar balance.

Mover called office and office instructed him to leave if I didn't give them $350 in cash right away. I asked him to open the truck to be sure my stuff was on truck before I gave money. An hour later the [redacted] finally agreed to show me. Then they asked me to sign a paper saying that I acknowledge I received everything, and nothing was broken and truck was inspected before they would even start unloading. Again the office, I think her name was [redacted], was really nasty and was screaming at me and demanding the [redacted] to leave and charge me storage fee's if I didn't sign the paper. this is illegal! The [redacted] eventually felt bad for me, and I was informed by my [redacted] at my building that [redacted] told him in spanish that they do this to people daily and he feels bad about what company is putting me through. Eventually they unloaded, and I signed the paper before inspecting my boxes.

I sent an e mail to the company expressing my dissatisfaction, I received no response.

I posted reviews with details about my experience on [redacted].

They called me after my review threatening to sue me for false statements. Nothing I said was false. I have witnesses for everything that happened.

Then they sent me an e mail pretending to be a potential customer asking questions about company after reading [redacted] review. My e mail address is not posted on [redacted], so I know for sure e mail came from company.Desired Settlement: First, I would like for this company to stop doing business like this. Be honest about what you plan to charge customers. Moving is a very stressful life event, the last thing anyone wants is to be scammed by a moving company and to get charged way more than promised. if you tell someone 3-5 days for delivery, stick with it, just be honest!! if things are written in small print, inform customer, let them know what to expect, rather than surprising customers on moving day with new charges and demanding for them to sign contract or threatening to leave stuff on the street.

I had quotes for less than what I paid from other moving companies, and went with this company because it's all I was able to afford. They forced me to take loan to pay more. I want to receive the money back. I was promised I only had to pay $986.70, but was forced at last minute to pay $1,475! that is a very big difference. I stayed under 300 cubic feet. I also spoke with [redacted] and told her exactly how many items I had when I was finished packing, and she assured me the price would not go up. A crate was not provided for my tv, only a card board box. parking was available directly in front of my building. There was no necessary long haul.

There is a $488.30 difference.

In addition, I had to purchase a lot of stuff for every day use because my delivery was 6 days late. I lost days of doing business and when unpacked, discovered broken picture frames and dishes.

Finally I would like an apology for all the stress I had to go through and for being lied to over and over and for nasty attitude

Review: I was given an estimate for moving, storage and delivery in the amount of 2,148.00. When the movers showed up they retaped all my boxes that were packed and taped by me. Then they charged me materials and labor to do so without my consent. Also, the bill of lading was 3x the estimate. The company will not deliver until I pay them 6,120.00. I do not have this much money so I will have to lose all my personal belongings, paperwork and furniture. This is a total scam.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay 3,000.00 to a max imum of 4,000.00 for these people to finish the job and deliver my things. by July [redacted] as promised.

Review: On December **, 2014, I spoke with [redacted] over the phone about some items that I have to move to Florida. Those items are: a sofa, a love seat, 6 chairs, a table, 6 boxes of books, and a china. She told me that we can move them for you for $936. She said that $197 has to be paid as your first deposit, $500 must be paid cash when we pick up your items, and the balance which is $239 is due upon delivery. That was my agreement over the phone with [redacted] from NY Budget movers LLC. It took me a couple days before I book that deal with them because I was shopping around. She then said to me we will pick up your stuffs on the [redacted] of December, but the [redacted] will have the agreement papers for you to sign. Finally, I paid the $197 over the phone. On sunday the [redacted], the [redacted] came to my house @ 9:00 in the morning with 4 pieces of blank paper for me to sign. He saked me for the second deposit which is $500, and he asked me to sign the papers. I gave him the money and signed the papers withnin a minute. They picked up my items within one hour. I am sitting in my apt waiting for the [redacted] to give me a copy of the agrement. He didn't return to the apt, instead he sent one of his co - workers back upstairs with a copy of the agreement. That is when I realized that they mislead me. In other words, they overcharged me. Instead of $936, they charge me $1662. That is bad business practice. That is not fair to me at all. They still have my money and my items. I need help.Desired Settlement: My desired settlement outcome is a fair adjustmenet that I need to the overcharged bill. As I told [redacted] over the phone on many occasions not only I don't have the difference which is $726, but I am not willing to pay money I don't have. Those people mislead me. They overchrged me without my consent. I am willing to pay an additional $500 more since I already paid $197 + $500 out of $936. This gives you a total of $697. So, If I pay $500 more upon delivery, this will give them a total of $1197. ?

This is in respond to complaint: [redacted] originally contacted us about moving : 6 small book boxes Dining room chairs 1 china cabinet Love seat Sofa And dining table And was informed this is just an estimate on CF (cubic feet), and only an estimate which is clearly stated on top of his email.

Review: I hired budget movers to move me from new jersey to spring hill florida in this move which cost me 10,000.00 they destroyed my belongings and lost them as well. I have texted them and called them and they will not return any of my calls. we have over 15000.00 in damages which includes to Harley davidson motorcycles.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund due to they damaged and lost my stuffed and I would also like money towards the replacement of my belongings I have sent them pictures of all the items and the repair cost of the two motorcycle. and they will not comply. they said they have insurance and will not give me any number or claims department

Review: I was comparing prices of moving companies and came across this company. I thought the price she quoted me was fair but wasn't done looking around. She asked if I wanted to put a deposit down to save the date. I asked her if I did put a deposit down and something were to happen would I get my deposit back if I had to cancel in which she replied "yes." I called back later that day, sent several emails and left several voicemail's to which no one responded. I finally got her back on the phone two days later because I called the New Jersey office (which is the same woman). Asked her to cancel the reservation and refund my money. She said it clearly stated in the email she sent me that there were no refunds. After I explained to her several times that she sent me that email after she told me there were refunds for cancellations I asked to speak to her supervisor which she wouldn't let me then I asked for the owner of the company which she wouldn't even give me his name and then she hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I would like the $200 deposit I put down refunded in full.
