Review: I went into the store today May **, 2013. I asked the manager by the name of [redacted] to speak to a manager. I new he was the manager because I had already spoken with him. He lied and told me that the manager wouldn't be in until 5pm. He was trying to get information out of me. I ask if this is JC Furniture and Mattress. He then lied again stating that he only has been there for 2 months. I know he was lying due to the fact he was there when I made a purchase in September 2012.Desired Settlement: Pay the court my judgment of $1669.00

Review: I went into NYDiscount Furniture on 04-**-2013 and ordered furniture. The total amount for the furniture was $1731 and I left a down payment of $800 on the [redacted] of june. I then returned on the [redacted] of june with $400 more leaving me with a balance of $491.The furniture did not become available to be delivered until 06-2013 they calledme and told me theyhad a delivery date for me but I had to clearthebalance which was reasonable so I did go in and gave them $291 more dollars leaving me with a balance of 169. I went overthere to give them the balance so my furniture can be delivered that saturday and the business was closed down gates drawn and boarded up. Ispoke to the business next door and he told me he was scamming a lot of people and that a lot of people came looking for them. I am a single mom taking care of my children with no support and I used all my savings on this furniture. My children and I are all sleeping non the floor we needed this furniture very badly please help me recover my loss. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE [redacted]Desired Settlement: WOULD LOVE TO GET MY MONEY BACK SO I CAN GO TO A TRUSTED FURNITURE CHAIN IN WHICH I KNOW I WILL RECEIVE THE PRODUCT BECAUSE I DID NEED IT FOR MY FAMILY.

Review: I PUT A LAYAWAY ON A BEDROOM SET AND A 3PC COFFEE TABLE SET I GIVE THEM A DEPOSIT OF $800.00 SO I WENT BACK TO THE STORE ON 7/**/13 TO FINISH PAY FOR FURNITURE THAT WENT I FOUND OUT THAT THEY MOVE AND I DONT KNOW WHERE THEY MOVE TO AND THEY DID NOT LET ME KNOW THAT THEY WERE MOVING SO I NEED HELP IN THIS MATTER .THANK YOUDesired Settlement: I NEED TO GET BACK MY REFUND

Review: On February [redacted] 2016 I purchased to Hoover boards from this furniture store , when I made my purchase I asked if I could purchase a warranty plan with my Hoover boards which I spent $350.00 for medium size hoover board and 450 For large hoover board. The representative stated to me that if anything happens to my product I can return it back to the store and they can service my product on march [redacted] sunday I called the store to let them know that one of my hoverboards we're not working at all and the large hoover board had a messed up speaker representative stated to me that this is an overseas product and the manufacturer does not offer warranty nor can he fix my product so I am on my own. I ask the representative at the store can you please give me the manufacturer contact information and he stated to me that this is an overseas product and there's no contact information for the company .Now while I'm researching and I'm looking at the literature that's in the box my product does not have a serial number nor does the company on the box have any contact information for me to reach out to the distributor or manufacture. I let the representative know that I knew something was wrong from what he is telling me over the phone the purchases only made 10 days ago and me as a consumer I know that my product should have some type of guarantee either from the manufacturer or the store itself I payed taxes on this product and I want to know where does it come from, like I said it does not have any serial numbers and is being sold in a store where there is no warranty offer and nor can you contact the manufacturer which the representative stated to me it's overseas item.Desired Settlement: I believe that this company is committing a crime they are charging consumers taxes on a product that is highly priced ,and you can t even validate that it is a safe or secure product for my children that are 14 -8 years old to ride. They're bringing these products from overseas I don't believe that they're paying taxes this is all a scam and it should be looked into. The way this company is going about this whole situation makes me feel like I may be even funding a terrorist organization. It's like they're selling black market items in there Retail Store with no identification number Nor serial number to the product I don't know who to contact and I'm feeling very uncomfortable about this purchase and I just would like a refund. These hoover board are poorly made, and I ve never made a purchase in the United States with the product that does not have an identification number or a serial number, who made it and is it safe has it been checked and ok for children to ride . I am NOT able to reach out to the manufacturer who manufacture the product something is wrong here and I want my money back.
